A&C Carpet Cleaning

Technicians arrived on time, were courteous and professional.

Great! On 12/28, we were notified by prospective tenants that they wanted to move in by 12/31. On 12/29 we sent A&C a message with a question concerning a job using one of Angie's Deals via Angie's messaging, requesting the soonest time available. They were able to schedule a a.m. appt. on Sat., Jan. 2, which we coordinated with the tenants and the tech met my husband at the rental. The job went smoothly and Monday A&C followed up to see if we were satisified. Since I have not been to the rental (and did not want to disturb them) I checked with one of the tenants who said it looked great.

Unfortunately I cannot give a review on the quality of work because they did not show up when they said they were going to come. On the scheduled day of service which was supposed to be a 9 to 11 am window, I received 2 phone calls from 2 different techs saying they were on their way and would be there in approx. 15 minutes. The first call came at approx. 8:45am and the second call came at approx. 9:15 from a different tech who told me he was on his way. When I told him about the previous phone call from another tech, he told me they must have made a mistake in scheduling and he would make a phone call to find out what happened. No one ever showed up at my house. At approx. 10:45am, I get a phone call from the dispatch person who told me that the tech that was supposed to come "had an emergency" and that they had to send another tech who was already on another job to take care of me and that she "imagined" he might be at my house at around 11:30. I told her someone was not being truthful and that I preferred not to do business with A&C and I was disappointed because I only use Angie's list for services and this was the first time in awhile that I have not gotten good service. So if A&C actually shows up after they call and say they will be at your house "in 15 minutes", I "imagine" they may do a good job unless they can't come because they have an "emergency" but I will never know for sure.

On time, on budget, and overall great job.

I challenged the caller from A & C that I was not aware of the warranty requirement when I bought the carpeting and I did not want their service. The caller and the previous letter both stated that it was a requirement. I called About Floors n More (a company also recommended on Angie's List) and asked if all of this was true; they said that they do use A&C as an agent to do cleaning but denied that their warranty on my carpeting was subject to the cleaning requirement and that they do not support the claims of A&C. I would certainly not use the service of A&C and told the About Floors n More person that this situation also reflects poorly on them.

DO NOT USE THIS PERSON. This company ruined a $2,700 sofa so you could say it has not gone well. There was an unusually strong odor when I got home several hours after the cleaning. The sofa and cushions were very wet. It took over 48 hours for it to dry and several days for the smell to go away. Most alarming was the sofa did not appear even slightly cleaner. A supervisor came out, agreed it did not look good, said the "sofa should have never been cleaned with "Benefect". They had caused a "brown out" Technician should have called the office." At the time not a big deal because he said he could clean it properly. Said he had 30+ years experience, just needed a few hours of morning sun. When they returned I pointed out as the feather pillows had dried the fabric appeared bleached. This is at the bottoms of the pillows where the wetness drained. You can actually see where the feather pillows were set to dry, as the exact size and shape is discolored on two of the seat cushions. When I spoke with the owner she suggested an inspector come look at it. It costs $250, but if it were my fault I would have to pay him. I told her there was no way I was agreeing to potentially pay this person, that I'm looking at bleached fabric on the cushions and a mess they have created on the body of the couch, "brown-out". She came out to look at it upon my request, however, she just kept insisting there was nothing in the ingredients used that would cause the bleach. I explained if it were not the ingredients then it was their technique. It was obvious to me the feather pillows were so saturated in their cleaning process that the water drained, pooled and discolored the fabric. Perhaps it was whatever the feathers were cleaned with. The only bleached out discoloration was on the feather pillows. (and where they drained during the drying process) The body of the sofa contained all of the original spots plus the brown-out which they said was caused from excessive moisture. I've never had a sofa cleaned that you could not sit on after two days because it's still wet. She suggested at her visit, because I said it had a bleach/chlorine smell, that we had caused it from pool water. I explained I had adult children, we don't sit on the furniture with wet swimsuits, we rarely use our pool...but where are the marks in the seats if that were the case. That made no sense to me. How could we possibly get that much chlorine absorbed into the feathers of the cushions and at the same time not get any chlorinated water on the seat cushions. Or on the adjacent sofa and chair which have been cleaned, or on the sofa in our bonus room which as been cleaned or any bedspread, just the three BACK cushions!. Guess what the conclusion on the report says: "affected cushions in Mrs. Turnage's home exhibit chlorine damage. Since the cleaning agent used does not contain chlorine of any kind, the chlorine came from a source onsite. More than likely the chlorine was on the fabric and when it was cleaned it re-activated it and made the discolorations occur. This would be considered a site related condition. Bad first experience with Angie's List. Buyer beware! They admitted they did it incorrectly, They are a scam who paid for the conclusion they needed to think they are off the hook.

Prompt, courteous, and professional technician. Called to confirm his anticipated arrival time, quickly started his efforts and was out in less than 90 minutes. Only small drawback to the completed service was a little more dampness left in the carpet than I anticipated. Left the AC and fans on and went shopping!

They showed up on time and my 16yr old tile/grout was much cleaner. I added on another hallway while he was there. It was definitely cleaner and the house smells better. (we just purchased the house and pet odor had gotten into the grout from previous owner)

They sent me a link ahead of time detailing how to prepare. Called ahead and arrived on time. Went over the services and price before beginning work. Didn't move heavy or complicated furniture (i.e. entertainment center) but worked with me to clean under the furniture I moved. Missed about 6 inches on one wall, but I would say that is very minor.

Punctual and completed work efficiently with Supervisor follow-up.

The customer service at this company is above par! I can not say enough good things about my experience with this company. We have used them twice so far, and plan on using them in future!!! We had one minor issue with a prior job they performed, and they fixed it immediately! Not only did the Owner fix it to my complete satisfaction, but he also personally came out on the job to make sure everything was going well and taken care of. The gentleman we had today was on time, up front and honest, and did super job. The woman in the office is also terrific! Great company, and the Owner clearly demands only the best work from his employees!

I’ve used them before and they have been very friendly and courteous. They are currently cleaning them and thus far they’ve been great. They were proactive with contacting us about picking them up.

We have thicker carpet and the carpet stayed wet much longer than we expected. Experience was good overall. I was pleased with the overall results.

It went fine. He worked to remove our stains and most of them were removed. The carpet was left with a nice fresh smell. My only dissatisfaction is with the 'Angies Big Deal' I payed more for the 'big deal' than it would have cost had I just contacted them directly. It wasnt a discounted price. That causes me to be very skeptical about 'big deals' that arrive in my email box.

Service was done quickly and well.

Originally scheduled to do the work on 2/10/2015. When he arrived, he could not get his power scrubber/vacuum to operate. Rescheduled for the following week (2/17/2015).Completely the job satisfactorily.

Two technicians arrived, a man and a woman. They came in, I gave them a tour of the rooms to be cleaned, and they immediately went to work with a spray on deodorizer - a must for people with pets. After which, they began the actual cleaning. I had moved into the house less than two years ago, and quickly realized that the carpet probably hadn't been cleaned in a long time, but decided to do some general DIY projects first. When the projects were completed, I called A&C for cleaning. I wasn't sure the carpet could be saved, but the technicians did a through cleaning and really brought the carpet back to life. They took their time, and it showed. I highly recommend this company to anyone and would use them again

I thought the gentleman was efficient. I thought they were good. They seemed reliable and knowledgeable. They were able to get some staining off that someone else had tried and was not able to. I think their price was competitive.

The young man was very professional and polite . The reason I marked I would most likely not use them again because he did the very minimum required . I paid 125.00 for 200 ft of work . Because I wanted a small section of the grout cleaned in my bath he would nog complete all of the kitchen. There was a very small section left to clean in my kitchen but he stopped and would not complete the remaining section because it went beyond by 5 feet.If I am going to use a company again I would chose a company that would go a little beyond to please the customer especially the first visit ..

Arrived on time and executed job professionally. Truck mounted equipment was in somewhat of disrepair resulting in manual work for the technician. Extra $50 was for additional square footage, fairly negotiated prior to start. 6 months later, grout still clean.

A&C's technician called before he arrived to say he was on the way. He arrived on time and completed the carpet cleaning within an hour or so. We've used A&C Carpet Cleaning perviously in our home as well as a rental house we own. We just put the rental house on the market to sell and wanted to make sure the carpets looked great. A&C did a great job of cleaning carpets in our home and the home we're selling.

James was absolutley wonderful. The service was excellent. Very prompt, punctual and worked really h****** the service.
