About us

We are a boutique style residential cleaning and home management company. We currently have only 4 employees and do not use sub-contractors. We are licensed in Duval county, and we have general liability insurance and current background checks. You can see our documentation by visiting our web site and clicking on the links in the FAQs. We offer an all Natural or a Green Cleaning package for the environmentally conscious person. We like to support our local economy so we buy all of our products and equipment right here in Jacksonville even though the Internet might be cheaper. We use high quality, commercial grade equipment and supplies. One thing that sets us apart is that we clean no more than two houses per day. Many times we will only clean one. While we work efficiently, we do not want to hurry and take short cuts in our cleaning. If a technician cleans more than 2 houses, by the 3rd one they are often tired and the quality of the clean may suffer. We give free estimates but will try to ball park an estimate on the phone if needed. We also give back to our community by volunteering in schools, volunteering with Veteran's groups and donating blood regularly. We are strong advocates of our environment so we promote recycling and re-purposing wherever we can. One of our special add on services is properly disposing of your eWaste or other hazardous household waste. We have local references whose names and numbers we don't publish but can provide you with if you contact us.

Our clients like us because we are very flexible with scheduling and we have good communication and customer service skills. We offer one time cleaning, bi-weekly, tri-weekly, monthly and as needed. We can accommodate some weekend cleaning with enough notice. All of our cleaners are very dog and cat friendly. We will tailor the clean to meet your budget if possible.

Description of Work: The owner Mari gave the impression that she'll be at my house every scheduled cleaning. For the most part I had a different cleaner every single time. on regular basis I had to leave notes that the bathroom wasn't cleaned to my liking, or that the kitchen counter wasn't wipped down, items that we went over upon interview, but didn't seem to be the standard with the cleaning crew, such as not moving/lifting any containers or objects laying on the counter. As for punctuality, that also left a lot to be desired as often they would arrive 1/2 to 1 hour later then scheduled.

I am so sorry I have waited this long to respond to your review. We have experienced some growing pains in the past few months and while I think the high standards of cleaning has been maintained, I have fallen short in the office management side of things. My mother and other influential people in my life have told me....just be honest with people. Don't make excuses. The truth is I started this business alone and planned to work alone as that is what I like best. But I am in my 50s and although healthy, cleaning 40 hours a week is physically hard work. I ended up hiring help to be able to keep up with the calls and cleaning we had scheduled. I also tore my Anterior cruciate ligament in October last year while I was cleaning out my huge compost bin. This was one month before you posted your review. It was a serious injury and I still did not miss one day of work. I showed up and although I was slower than usual, I did try very hard to be reliable as that is my owe pet peeve. Any new business owner will tell you that hiring is the absolute WORST and most difficult part about running a business. It's easy to sit around and write up plans and do profit and loss statements. Show up and open the doors. But hiring. That is a beast! I failed many times and unfortunately much of it happened during those summer months. You were a monthly client and I often changed the scheduled cleaning date to work around your travel and work schedule. But I was not staffed well enough to be able to send the same cleaner to you. I did almost always show up to walk the cleaner through your home and point out your pet peeves. And yes, there were times I trusted the cleaner to do the job without me. The one cleaner you most liked was honest with me in that she did not like to clean for you. She felt you hovered over her looking for mistakes and it made her uncomfortable. We like cleaning. We really do or we wouldn't be doing this for our full time jobs. But sometimes it is just not a good fit with some clients and I think this is one of those times. Regarding punctuality, we had noted on the schedule that you and your husband worked and we felt that as long as we got the clean completed by 5:00 pm it would be okay. We clean for a lot of people who do not leave us a key and are home the entire time we clean and we do aim to be on time. When we start our day, if the first house has not left the key, we end up waiting 30 or 40 minutes for the client to come let us in. Clients may ask us to do additional cleaning when we show up so we end up spending 30 more minutes in their home rather than tell them "no." So the day does not always go as planned. We faced crossing several train tracks to get to your house. And you lived much further away from most of our cleaning clients. We have to cope with traffic, the weather and life events that may make us run late. For the clients who have given us a key and who work out side the home, we may show up later than we say because we feel we have some leeway. We do honestly do our best and I am sorry we did not meet your expectations. You had at least two cats in the home and often we would wipe the kitchen counters early in the clean but by the end of the clean, the cats had jumped on the counters or the tables and there was hair again. The cats spent most of their time in the kitchen and it is hard for a place to stay immaculate when the cats are walking and jumping on the counters. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations and in cases like this, I think it was not a good fit from the start. I should have explained my own circumstances to you and about the punctuality issue. I am trying to do better but I appreciate that I have learned from this experience. And I wish you and your family the best during this holiday season.

Description of Work: We have had two biweekly cleanings from Meri. We have been very happy with the work and she has a very competative price. She will do additional projects if we ask and she takes it upon herself to do additional small projects to get a deeper clean in some areas each time she comes.
