My water heater was about 15 years old, and I decided that it was time to replace it. Since the old water heater was still functional, I had a bit of time to coordinate the job. I decided to purchase the water heater myself from a large home supply store - but the store's installation price was just too high. I called Home Advisor and they provided several plumbers. J.M. Plumbing called me immediately, and agreed to an installation price that was very reasonable. They were willing to pick up the water heater for me for a very small price, or just come and install it. I decided to pick up the water heater myself. J.M. Plumbing's plumber showed up on the day we had coordinated. Due to a slightly different size of the water heater and different connection configuration, there was some adjustment to the copper piping needed. The copper work done by the plumber was excellent. The installation was perfect. He emptied the old water heater and hauled it off. He took the time to explain that the old water heater had significant calcium deposits at the bottom, and showed me how to flush the new water heater, which he recommended I do once a year. I highly recommend J.M Plumbing for plumbing services in the Citrus County, Florida area.

Hired to replace the sink cabinet with a pedestal, replace the commode with an upgraded one and replace the drain in the bathtub, which he stated was not repairable. He gave me an estimate and took a $500.00 downpayment. The plumber who came out to install them said he had the wrong part for the tub, which, he agreed, was not repairable, and you can't install a pedestal sink on an outside wall in a mobile home because the wall beams are made of aluminum and you shouldn't cut them, which means you can't push the plumbing back into the wall, so it would be visible behind the pedestal. OK. I asked for a cabinet. He spoke with the salesguy and said he would order a white cabinet with a formed, recycled granite composite top for an additional fee of $300.00. I specifically asked that it be white and NOT plastic. When he came back to install it, it was a wood veneer base and a formed plastic-y top. Not stone, recycled or otherwise. He installed the commode, the sink (because I was told that I couldn't return it), and then said that you can't repair a drain in a mobile home without cutting through the outside wall, which would then leak, and anyway the one already in place was repairable. He did remove the fee for the drain from my bill. The woman at the shop undercharged me by $5.00, then charged an additional $500.00 to my bank account. After 4 hours of calling with no response, I finally got a callback when I threatened to call a lawyer. She informed me that I hadn't paid my down payment and that "it's not a big deal" and I needed to give her 24 hours to look into it. She put $495.00 back into my account later thatday, but told me that she still couldn't find my deposit. I helpfully gave her the date that it cleared my bank account. She charged another $5.00 to my account. I am annoyed that I am overpaid by $5.00, but not enough to deal with that woman again. "It's not a big deal." $500.00 must mean a great deal more to me than it does to her. The commode and sink were installed well, but my bathtub still leaks.

I did not know at the time that there was an energy star water gas water heater, and would have liked to be told that there was one,as I would have had that. So the plumbing company should have checked and gave me an option. other than that the they did a great job

Although the response time was second to none, and neatness of the work was fantastic, the actual problem with my hot water heater ended up being that I inadvertently shut the power off to it from a switch in my bathroom. (We just bought the house the week before and saw the switch earlier the previous evening and wondered what it's purpose was, so we left it in the off position, never in a million years imagining something like controlling a hot water heater in the shed!!!!) When the men arrived at noon following a panic call from us at 7:30 am, they proceeded to just pull out the existing water heater that we said wasn't working and replaced it. You would think that being professionals they might have checked it out or tested it, since they are the professionals and we are not, and the new one would not work either, and they told us the old one must have taken out the electricity when it crapped out and we needed an electrician to figure it out!!!!!!!!! Lo and behold, the electrician who came happened to have had some experience with a similar problem just few days prior and discovered the problem immediately, flipped the switch, and voila, instant hot water. The original hot water tank was just fine, it was our own stupidity that was the problem, and J.M. Plumbing compounding it to the tune of $600.00. A valuable lesson learned! J.M. Plumbing responded with incredible speed and for that they get a 5-Star rating! For leaving me in the lurch and not following up, the rating drops significantly! Both our fault to some extant, but with not electricity reaching the unit I would have thought they would have raised questions before arbitrarily pulling out the old water heater and installing a new one!

Very efficient but expensive. I had 2 leaky faucets on the outside and the repairman was here only 20 min. The charge $179.00. A bit expensive, I think.

What I thought was a simple blocked drain turned out to be so much more. But at all times they were upfront and honest about the work that they had to do. All the work was completed in the time they stated and at the costs I was given. Scotty & Josh are great guys, good workers and very trustworthy. I would highly recommend them. The day they came we were having the worst storm in ages, but they still carried on trying figure out what was the problem, even though they were both soaked through to the skin and working in real crappy conditions.

I had a leak under my kitchen sink (non emergency) from a corroded nipple leading to the main drain line. I wasn't able to break the nipple loose and that's where jm plumbing came in. The guy spent maybe 20 minutes on it and got it out but had another job to go to and would be back the next day but he did tell me he could do the job and replace my sink drain baskets for 450 dollars. I was shocked at how much he was going to charge for what was not going to be a big job to begin with. Anyway we went for 450 to 315 to 285 dollars. Well, with the nipple now out I was able to fix the rest myself and did so for a total of just over 20 dollars. I still wound up paying him 154 for that 20 minutes of work, I wont make this mistake again. I was just amazed at how much he was going to charge for what little had to be done.

We hired these people because we had a backup in our septic system. A man came, Scot, and spent maybe 30 minutes to get to our cap on our septic tank. The bill came to $500 which included $165 to another company service. When we asked how much JM Plumbing paid to the other company they stated $285 which is a lie because I contacted the other company and they said $165. JM charges $95 to come out so I have no idea why we were charged $500 but am going to find out. We asked for an itemized bill but of course never received one because he didn't do anything. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and would encourage others not to use them!!

The work they did was not done properly, started leaking again. Paid in full over $300 and they refuse to come back to see what the problem is. Bathroom toilet is still an issue and they never sent someone out to see what the problem is that they did did not repair properly, Reported to BBB. They cannot be trusted, I called them multiple times with no answer from them.
