CPR - Computer Problem Resolutions

I had no idea that Tom would not only take care of all my computer issues but would also serve as a teacher, helping me better understand how to use my computer based on my own personal needs. He was patient, kind, professional, and considerate. He has followed up with an email to ensure that my satisfaction with his services is complete. I have been using Tom for many years now, and he is always my first call when a computer problem occurs that I am unable to handle on my own. He is prompt in responding, and he has always worked hard to accommodate my schedule when the issue is something I am unable to fix on my own. He is very knowledgeable about computers, and is also forthcoming with information. Many times, if he can offer a quick-fix, he will. Otherwise, he will come out to the house to handle the problem himself. I usually use Tom for mal-ware issues, and he has always been able to fix my computer when is has been sabotaged. In addition, he has suggested two very good (and inexpensive) programs that I can run when virus/mal-ware issues arise, and many times those programs fix the issue without me even having to call him. His prices are fair, and he is professional.

When a computer goes down, we always call on Tom. This time, when one of our laptops died, he found a new one to meet our requirements. He came to the house and installed the new one to our system, made sure it was running properly, added some extra programs, made sure we had all the virus protection programs install and updated, all the while educating us to the new operating system. Then Tom went the extra mile and checked all the other computers in the house to make sure they were running correctly, found a few minor problems and fixed them.

Tom returned my call this morning, stating he should have any opening this afternoon and he did. He is so professional and knowledgable, it was a total pleasure to have him work on my PC. I received an education of many helpful things that I can do. Most of all I will call Tom should I have any problems and appreciate so much his down to earth knowledge about software updates and general information that any PC owner should know.

Brought it back and it works better than ever. It is a Dell and only a year old. He is so pleasant, knowledgeable, and quick.

Both my husband and my son are knowledgeable about computers but even they were stymied by all the problems my computer was having. I found Tom Hernden, owner of CPR, on Angie's List and chose him above all the others because he has won 6 Super Service Awards! Our experience shows that he deserves them! Tom was responsive, prompt, courteous and professional. He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He checked my computer out and warned me that it might be on it's last leg due to its age. He got to work diagnosing a number of problems, un-installing programs and installing new ones. While this was being done he talked with me giving very clear and understandable 'tutorials' about what the problems were, what he was doing to clean it up, what he was changing, information on the new malware program and tips on what, and what not, to download and upgrade in the future. I learned SO MUCH from him that I never knew! He not only repaired the computer, he taught me how to be a smarter user. Now my old computer works beautifully and I am a happy customer of CPR - Computer Resolution Services! Tom did some further work for us at a later date and I have recommended CPR to friends. Outstanding service and results!

I can't say enough good things about Tom. He is responsive, shows up when he says, does what he promises and does not take advantage financially. He is good at what he does and provides real value for his reasonable fees. He has saved us time and time again from being computer-less. And he's always been able to save all of our data even through viruses and crashes! With two teenagers in the house and a lot of online classes we can't be without a computer for any length of time. When we decided to add another computer he handled that as well. He goes the extra mile and then some.

Tom was able to help us quickly because he was going to be in our area. Tom arrived on time and immediately began to clear my wife's computer of all the malware and junk she had accumulated, that she did not realize had infected her computer. He took time to explain to us each step he was doing and to educate us in how to prevent these virus and spyware from infecting our computers by using programs that are free to install. Tom then help set my computer up to be user friendly from the difficult Windows 8 operating system. Tom is a very personable and knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Tom is truly a professional in his knowledge and ethics. He went over and above in helping me order a new Dell computer and worked out any bugs in setting up and configuring the new computer. I would highly recommend CPR and Tom.. Tom was punctual. Fixed everything he could fix within his scope of expertise. Deleted a lot of useless garbage from both systems. Gave us many suggestions and dos and don'ts as far as using our computers. Helped speed up both machines. Made suggestions as what to purchase in the future and offered his assistance and guidance in making future purchases. Spent almost 21/2 hours at our home and the bill, with the Angie's list discount, was just over $100.....can't beat that! We've had some bad experiences in the past with computer service but we felt like we had known Tom for years when he left. Nice to meet someone as professional while at the same time down to earth as Tom. We would definitely recommend him and will certainly use him in the future.

A while back we hired a computer tech who didn?t do what the computer needed which was a costly waste on our part. Then we saw a couple of computer adds in our neighborhood flyer but decided to first look them up on Angie?s List before hiring them. Boy was I glad we did because it turned out they didn?t have the reputation you would think they should have given they were in the neighborhood. So checking further on Angie?s List we found Tom and found him quite personable during the phone conversation so we set up a date and time for him to look into the problems we were having with our computer. Tom showed up as scheduled and knew the minute he sat down at the computer what the problems were. He started working on the computer immediately and explained to us why the problems existed and how to avoid them in the future. He cleaned out what needed cleaning like all the inadvertently downloaded programs and websites and etc, and updated what needed updating. He even figured out how to turn on the mysteriously hid built in speaker for Skype that no one else had a clue where it was. He is quite impressive with his computer knowledge and actually enjoys sharing his expertise through teaching as he is working, and patiently answers any questions asked. He gave us a first time 15% discount for being an Angie's List member customer before even asking for it. Will recommend Tom to anyone asking for help with their computer and will call him in the future as needed.

Tom showed up right on time. I took him to my computer and he got started. He made everything look so darned easy. He is really great at what he does. He immediately showed me how to delete the "deleted files" folder. He explained to me several other things to do if I needed to. He is extremely reliable and knowledgeable. He updated my Internet Explorer making it even easier to use. I highly recommend Tom for anyone out there and needs help with their computer. He's the best!

The old laptop died and we called Tom to find us a new one. He asked what we wanted and found a Dell that perfectly fit our needs. He came to the house, uninstalled everything on the old one and transferred it to the new one plus added some new programs. He also made sure it worked with all our other electronic toys and checked out some other issues with another computer. Along the way he explained and educated us not only to the new laptop but some tricks on our other equipment. It is always a pleasure to work with Tom.

Tom has come to my house 3 times. Twice, he cleaned malware off two computers that I believed might have been unfixable. Tom was my last resort. Before he came, I was pretty sure we were going to have to scrap the computers and buy a new ones. When he left, we were up and running again with computers that worked GREAT!!! The third time, I had him come over and just do a "tune-ups" on all of my computers. He left my house with our computers running MUCH faster. I love knowing that when I run into computer issues (which is way more often then I like), I know I can call Tom and he will come to my house and get them running again in no time. Tom doesn't just delete everything on the computer and re-load, he spends time isolating what is causing the problem and then he actually fixes the problem. He charges reasonable prices and, best of all, does all this in a timely manner. Since I found Tom, I have NEVER had to go without my computer for days at a time, which is what I had to do before I found Tom. Tom spends a couple hours at my house, with my computer and its done!!!

Tom was very responsive. He is very knowledgeable and worked diligently to repair my computer. He also took time to educate me on the current issues with my computer. He offered information to help secure my virus protection service and online hacking. His pricing was very fair. CPR is now my "go to" computer repair service.

I chose Tom based on his very fine reviews on Angie's List. These reviews were not wrong. Tom arrived promptly for our appointment. Professional in attitude and appearance, he carefully listened to what troubled me with the computer and set to work to help. Beyond changing the Win 8.1 GUI to look and act like Windows 7, thus avoiding the tablet type screens of little use on a desktop without touch screen capability, Tom installed a couple of free anti-malware software programs to clean the computer of problem items that were slowing it down. He also advised me on other aspects of operation to help keep malware and other intruding software off the drive. After his visit the computer worked well and I was pleased with what he had accomplished and what he had taught and advised me during our session. Subsequently, I uncovered an additional problem with all browsers not showing pictures and videos. Rather than charging me for another visit, Tom emailed me a couple of times, giving me some directions to investigate to solve this problem. I found that my new internet security program was the cause and replacing it with one Tom suggested solved the problem for good. Tom's ability and service cannot be questioned. I would surely use his help again when and if I need it. For such service his pricing is very reasonable and I was able to use his senior discount too.

He was very good. I had an old computer that needed to be diagnosed, he took out the hard drive out and put that to the new computer that we bought. He charged me exactly what he said he was going to.

Tom is a very knowledgeable, nice guy. He was at my home over two hours and did all he said he'd do plus extras. He charged a fair price and did a really good job. It isn't easy to find someone you trust in the computer field. Tom is someone I enthusiastically recommend.
