CPR - Computer Problem Resolutions

I had a corrupted or missing file that was keeping me from loading the drivers for a new printer. Everyone I talked to said I would have to back up all my files and re-image the computer. When I called Tom and explained the problem, he said he didn't think we would have to go to that extent. He restored the missing file, cleaned up the computer, made it run faster and answered all my questions. He installed some free programs to protect my computer and gave me suggestions for some future updates. I will definately call on him to install those updates. He speaks English instead of computer-eze. I actually understood all of his explainations and I am not a computer person. He will be my computer go-to guy from here on!

Tom had great patience to one who is far from computer literate.He talks with you,not down to you.Any questions that may arise will be answered via email.

Tom is the consummate professional. He makes the time and effort to explain exactly what the problems are and what needs to be done to correct them. He patiently describes all procedures and exactly what he is doing (or has done) to remedy the problem. We consider him to be a computer "genius", but he makes the time and effort to "explain and teach" in simple English. His charge was very reasonalble considering the work/time expended.

To my delight, Tom arrived when promised and immediately went to work to find out what was going on with my computer. He ended up having to take the computer home to fix it. Since he had allotted time to be here and hadn't used it all, he went through my other two computers which were working fine to see if they had any potential problems. Both had just under 100 spyware and malware programs on them. He cleaned them up with a couple of free programs and also "tuned" them both up to where they are now running faster. Tom brought back the computer that wasn't working and it is now in tip top shape! We thought we may have to buy a new one! Tom was able to save all of our precious data and remove all trojans and problems which was MUCH appreciated! He did this all in less than a weeks time which was also very much appreciated!!

Mr. Hernden arrived on time and worked until the job was well finished. The computer and peripherals continue to perform to expectation. We will be contacting Mr. Hernden in the near future to assist us in setting up a home network.

Tom is very knowledgable, friendly, and willing to answer any question. He took his time to make sure the job was done right even when it ran into late evening. We will definitely use him for our computer needs.

Tom went right to work loading new anti virus software and fixing my computer issues. He found that our external hard drive was the boot issue and reconfigured it. My Windows XP issue was a bit more complicated. Tom had to reboot Windows and make several changes to my setup to get it to work. Tom also turned me on to Google Chrome. Very Fast...He transfered my favorites into Chrome. I'm very happy with Tom's knowledge and work performance.

Tom called before he arrived @ 10AM and went right to work. He had talked about trying to fix my laptop at my home or he might have to take it into his office for a complete hard drive reboot. After four hours, Tom had fix my problem and loaded three new anti virus programs at no charge to me. I was using Adware, but Tom told me the new three anti virus programs were much stronger defense for what's currently out there. I was extremely impressed with his experience, swiftness and unique way of explaining things in plain english, not computer lingo. I appreciated that! Tom at CPR is my new computer expert.

This was my third service call with CPR. Since we met Tom Hernden a couple of months ago. We have not called any other computer tech to service our 9 computers since the first service call. Tom has been very helpful in assisting us with a variety of computer issues. From now on he will be the only company we call for all of our computer service needs.

I phoned Tom after becoming infected with some type of virus while searching the internet. Tom and I scheduled an appointment and he arrived right on time. Tom quickly diagnosed the problem and removed the virus. He did a few things to improve my computer speed; added new security software and gave instructions on how to use the software to reduce the possibility of re-infecting my laptop. I was actually so impressed with the repair and the price charged that I paid Tom more than he requested. It was a very positive experience and I will recommend Tom to anyone needing computer assistance. Absolutely and positively, no regrets.

I phoned Tom when I first noticed a problem on my computer. He answered the phone (unlike voicemail) and after I told him my problem, he explained what could be wrong with my computer, that my money was probably lost with the bogus company that I purchased anti-spyware from, as this was a sham. (Luckily I did not lose my money -- my bank did not allow the transaction to go through. He was happy to hear that.) He told what he would do and if it didn't work, what he would do after that. We made arrangements for him to come to my home. He was punctual and immediately went to work. He loaded anti-spyware and scanned for worms, trojan horses and other things. He found lots. He was extremely thorough and ran the scans over and over again until no malicious activity appeared. He instructed me on what not to do when certain windows appeared and what steps to take immediately to scan my computer. He reset settings to improve the speed and security of my computer and deleted unnecessary things to do the same. He explained everything he did, and answered all of my questions until I understood completely. He took a great deal of time with me and for that I am grateful. I would recommend him for any computer problems and I will call him again if I have any problem. He put my mind at ease and gave me the tools and skills to allow me to be pro-active in fighting the bad guys. Thanks Tom -- YOU ARE THE BEST!! Tom came when promised and was very professional. He described everything that he was doing so that you could understand the reasoning behind his action. He was very knowledgable of computers and provided tips on how to make them more efficient and what internet sites to avoid. I would recommend his services to anyone.

I thought Tom was extremely helpful because he speaks to you in laymen's terms not computer jibberish. He spent a great deal of time here and didn't charge us a high hourly fee. He also was honest and thought my computer worked well and didn't need to be upgraded even though it is 4 yrs old or more. He is a very reasonable person to work with and I look forward to using him again.

I couldn't have asked for better service! I tried to contact Dell tech support, which was a waste of time. I was in a hurry to get my computers fixed, and even though they had several problems, he was able to handle it. He really goes beyond the assignment to take care of issues I wasn't even aware of. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He's personable and his prices are reasonable.

I am very please with CPR'S service. I was having difficulty trying to figure out how to disassemble a recently purchased Netbook computer to add additional memory (RAM). My wife, who works in the IT field also couldn't figure it out either. I called CPR-Computer Problem Resolutions to make an appointment to have them to come to my home to install the additional memory for me. I spoke with Tom about it and he told me that normally addtional RAM was very easy to install and that I should be able to do this myself without additional assistance. Since all computer are different, Tom checked the internet and researched my computer's make and model computer to find additional information on my model while I described the problem to him. With his assitance I was able to install the memory myself no problem. He did all this for me without chariging me a service fee or any other fee for his time and assitance. All the while he was courteous and took the time to explain to me exactly what I needed to do to complete the job myself.

The guy did a data recovery and also pointed out some outdated features on my computer. I got a new computer as well.

I was able to schedule a service call promptly when I called. Tom showed up right on schedule and took the time to explain what diagnostic procedures he was performing. He also offered some valuable tips on maintaining computer security and avoiding computer viruses. When I indicated that I was interesting in upgrading my desktop computer, Tom was able to offer a very competitive price that included delivery and installation. I had a very positive experience with this company and would recommend it to anyone needing computer assistance.

Great. Tom is very easy to work with. My wife is having Tom come back for more training on some of her programs.

My laptop is over threee years old and in the past six months to one year has becoming slower and irratic in its activities. Tom resonded to my query and we made an appointment. He was on time, very professional, and at the same time did not talk over your head. As he examined the laptop he explained what he was doing and how to avoid certain problems in the future.

Although the problem was more involved than orginally thought, Tom resolved the problem to my complete satisfaction, at what I considered money well spent. He spent a considerable anount of time with this project for and extremely reasonable fee. I am ecstatic with the new computer, and how it is configured. I would give him all A+ if the report would allow .

We called Tom out check on a laptop that had stopped responding asap and he came out on a Sunday so we didn't have to wait long. He simply turned it on, and it worked! We told Tom that we really wanted to move to a more reliable desktop, and he said he could get a converted and refurbished Dell. He had the Dell to us within a week and has helped since by answering simple questions by phone. Very knowledgeable and friendly and promt.

Tom Herndon arrived Tuesday morning around 9:40 AM as we had arranged the day before. Appearing neat and professional, he got right to work on the computer. He recognized the virus immediately and began troubleshooting. An outstanding thing: He explained everything he was doing at every step. It was like taking a 2-hour refresher course and getting updated on what's new. Mr. Herndon removed the virus and installed updated software to prevent further attacks.

Tom arrived at the house precisely when he said he would. The wireless verification was done in a short period of time, but instead of leaving immediately Tom answered every question we had regarding our computer and some of the programs. Not only did he spend extra time with us but he explained any questions that we had. My only regret is that we didn't use him sooner! I just can't praise his service enough. Plus, I couldn't believe he charged us so little an amount for all the time he spent with us.

Picked up a trojan virus that disabled my desktop (even though I had anti-virus and spyware software running). Tried to fix it myself but the problem kept getting worse (couldn't even boot up in safe mode). I called Tom and he came to the house within 2 days (luckily, I have a laptop as a backup). The desktop was so disabled that he had to take it back to his office and returned it all fixed up in 2 days. He came to the house to set up the desktop after it was cleaned up and, while setting up network printing capability, he did some tweaking to the laptop to speed it up (a nice bonus!). He's prompt, courteous, very knowledgeable and explains what he's doing.

I can t say enough good things about the guy. He is scrupulously honest and his prices are extremely reasonable, he s there when he says he is going to be there, and if something is going on, he checks in and tells you. He is a great guy to have come fix your computer. I paid him $70, and he didn t even want that much, but I insisted he take it.
