CPR - Computer Problem Resolutions

Tom was fantastic. I got him through Angie's List. I saw all the reviews on him and decided I need to talk to this person. Within a few seconds of talking to him on the phone, I knew I had the right person to trust with my computer. We scheduled a date and time and he came over on time. Both my husband and I where present when he started up the computer and he knew as soon as he turned it on and saw the screen what was going on. I had fallen for the Malware Trap. He said he would take my computer home, try to get rid of the malware, get all my information off the computer and call me in two days to let me know if he could get the old clunker back to running again. He called back with in 2 days and explained to me that the malware spread through the whole computer. He said that he could rebuilt the computer and be able to speed it up a bit. My husband and I talked it over and decided I needed a better computer. We told Tom we were on a budget and he fully understood. He suggested a refurbished computer. He gave us some good advice on what protection that we can access for free, how to use it, the difference between the operating system, whether a lab top or desk top would be better for me, etc. I decided on the desk top. He was able to order the computer, we got it within 4 days. We scheduled a time for him to come to the house and run through the programs and install all my personal information from my old computer. He explained how to run the scans, etc. He showed me how to get some of my old software to run, etc. Tom gave us more time than I ever expected. He is a very personable person who knows his business and goes beyond what any store can offer you. I would recommend him to everyone.

Have dual-core/dual disk tower unit that froze up completely. Was advised by another party that disk needed to be replaced. I felt this was not the problem. Called Tom,arranged to meet him the next day and dropped off my unit. Five days later, Tom met me and returned unit,after eliminating virus/malware problems and restoring and updating all files. More importantly Tom took time to explain in detail how to identify and prevent any FUTURE problems. Tom goes beyond ordinary to resolve computer problems and help you keep them from returning. For great service at a reasonable price, Tom is the man to see.

Tom came out to my home. He was very prompt, he ran some tests on my computer. Checked for malware and other bad things that your computer gets infected with unexpectedly. After a couple of hours it was working like brand new, fast and no more freezing up. He helped me understand all the different tricks that we can protect ourselves with that no one ever tells you. He also called me a couple of weeks after our appointment to make sure everything was still running smoothly. And yes everything is perfect. He is now my go to computer guy :)

Contacted Tom over the weekend; he picked up the computer the next week and completed the work within a week. He was clear about how long it would take and why. He was pleasant, personable and very helpful with answering questions and giving explanations. He was fair and considerate about pricing including checking back with us about certain costs. We would definitely call him again in the future.

Tom was on time, professional and very reasonably priced. We have used CPR for a couple of years and have had the same experience every time. Anytime we have an issue with malware or a virus he's there to help you. Just genuinely wants to help you and explain the issue instead of just coming in, charging you for coming, doing something in 10 minutes and then charging you for leaving. You won't find a better assistant if you have any issues with the computer. I'm pretty sure networking is what Tom does on a daily basis but he understands computers and was able to figure out our system and get it going perfectly.

We were having major issues with our computer and when Tom came out to take a look he suspected it was the hard drive. Tom took the computer with him along with a back-up disc. The problem was exactly what Tom said it would be and it was repaired rather quickly. Unfortunately, we were having work done at our house and asked Tom if he wouldn't mind keeping it for a few weeks. When we were finally able to have Tom deliver the computer it was perfect. He uploaded all the old programs we had and even came back the next to day to help with some questions we had. Tom has been our computer go-to-guy for so long he has become part of the family. He is a wonderful person to deal with and is very knowledgeable in his field. We have learned more from Tom then we have from any class we have taken.

When some malware all but shut down our computer we found out about CPR and Tom Hernden's excellent reputation. Tom came out to the house and spent close to 2 hours methodically going through the computer and deleting both viruses and malware. Unfortunately, in the end it was too infected and he ended up having to take the computer with him to "rebuild" it. It did take a few days for us to get the computer back, but when he delivered it he thoroughly went through everything that he had done, what he had installed, and then preceded to make sure that all of our programs and files were complete and as we wanted them. On top of it all, he gave us instructions on how to avoid getting malware into the computer as well as using the anti-virus, anti-malware and spybot programs to hopefully keep this from happening again.

Not as time comsuming as I had anticipated and the cost and service were better than the Geek Squad...

Tom listened to our concerns and explained options for each concern and let us decide what was to be done. He was professional but also approachable, answering all of our questions in terms we could understand.

He found the disc was damaged and didn't charge for the service.

Tom was very engaging and took the time to fully answer my questions. He offered suggestions that saved me money. When I could not find a data file, he made an extra visit to search my old hard drive until he found the file and transferred it to the Dell.

Tom responded right away to my initial phone call. He suggested that I purchase a one year old computer instead of upgrading my 9 year old desktop and that is what we did. He gave me a price range of $500 to $600 depending on what he found available and the price turned out in the low part of this range. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and honest and I'd recommend him to others needing computer repairs or upgrades.

This fix went beyond my expectations. Once again, Tom's hard work saved my laptop. He is an absolute miracle worker! He was on time for all visits, and kept me posted on his progress. He explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. He is a true professional. Tom is kind, understanding, and a really nice person. I would highly recommend him to fix computer problems. My cost was far less than I expected for the work done. I will continue to call on him for all my computer needs. I'm beyond happy with his service. HE IS FANTASTIC!

My experience with CPR-Repair was wonderful. Computers have always intimidated me, but not with Tom Hernden explaining the simple steps it takes to be safe. I will sing his praises to all my friends and neighbors. Should anything arise in the future, I will be on the phone to him in a minute.

I called Tom on Saturday and he came over Tuesday. When I spoke with him on the phone he took a lot of time with me to find out exactly what was going on. We wanted to save the computer if possible. It had not had much TLC so Tom did many things that had not been done in years, if ever. He ran different programs to clean up the system and because I am pretty much a computer idiot he explained everything in layman's terms. It appears our computer has a new life. Of course, there are no guarantees that at this age it will last a very long time, but with his expertise we are very encouraged with its' new get up and go. Tom was very professional and shared his knowledge willingly (in layman's terms). I would highly recommend him....you really get your money's worth and more.

Tom is one of the best computer techs I have ever worked with! He worked on two computers with very different hardware configurations and fixed the problems on both. He is very knowledgable and easy to talk to. He replaced a bad power supply on one machine and enabled front USB ports on another machine by connecting the appropriate cables to the correct spots on the motherboard. He also made a few tweaks to my Windows registry to improve performance. We also had an interesting conversation about virus an malware programs. I would definitely call upon Tom again.

Excellent. That's why I drove 87.9 miles to see Tom. I get my computer worked on by him. I could have had the same thing done right around the corner, but he's the best. He lives up to his reputation.

I was very pleased by Tom's knowledge, patience, and professionalism. I will certainly use him again. He is going to upgrade the memory in the future. I was very comfortable with Tom and grateful that he was willing to take calls on general knowledge when I was in a bind!

As described above, both of Tom's visits were very productive. He had to come back a second time to install the new power supply that he purchased for the computer. The second visit was primarily used to actually install the new part and confirm much of what we had covered on the first visit(a huge help to me). Both visits were very confortable as Tom is a very personable, easy to talk to individual. I would recommend him to anyone. In addition he secured for me a cable for my monitor which was giving me some problems from time to time. The new cable seems to have solved that problem also.

Tom responded quickly to my inquiry, came over on a Sunday and worked about 2.5 hours.
