Precision Garage Door Service

I was initially only partly satisfied as we had a dented panel on one of the doors and actually wrote a critical review at the time. My further experience with the company has made me a total fan and admirer of their commitment to quality, professionalism, and complete customer satisfaction. They not only replaced the dented panel, they've been back several times to make minor adjustments. Each of their service calls have been handled in a professional and friendly way at no charge. Their service after the sale is really outstanding and their technicians are top-notch.

The technician was very courteous and friendly. Within five minutes of his initial inspection, he said I needed new springs and some bearings...all to the tune of $664.00! I've had this happen to me one time before with a HVAC deal I bought. That tech came out and said I needed an HVAC overhaul that would have set me back over $1K. I think these companies train their techs to "scare" customers into thinking they need additional unwanted/unneeded services and parts. I told my garage door tech to just give me my $99.00 deal and leave it at that. He proceeded to change-out my metal wheels for nylon wheels and I had to get back to what I was doing in my backyard. He was in the garage for about an hour and during this time toward the end of his service call, I heard quite a bit of loud metal-on-metal banging. I was unable to stop what I was doing to investigate and by the time I was able to, the banging had stopped and when I entered the garage, he was busy packing up his stuff. I asked him if it was him that was making all that racket, he said yes, but he offered no explanation for the banging. As a matter of fact, he offered no review of what he did. The door sounds significantly quieter, but I have no idea if any adjustments were made as part of their 25-point safety check. The tech did forward an email copy of his evaluation and recommendations which basically recapped everything he said was wrong! I asked him why he thought the technician who serviced my door a year ago didn't raise any of these issues. He was dead silent. I did go online to check out how you can determine if your springs are going bad. According to what I read, my springs are OK. As for the bearings, I could find no information. Was it worth paying $99.00 to have my metal wheels replaced with nylon ones? Yeah. But I have no idea if this tech lubed all moving parts and tightened or replaced any loose or missing screws and bolts. I still have no idea what all that metal banging was. For all I know, he made that racket to make it sound like he was doing something. OR he knocking something out of wack that will cause my door to be inoperable in the near future?!

I called Tuesday and was given an appointment on Wednesday. The technician arrive on time and was very nice. He said all I needed was an annual which would solve the problems and was more than half the cost of the tune up. He said the rollers were in perfect shape and did not need replacing. How often does a company tell you you need to spend less than you anticipated?! This is the third time we used Precision and each time we have been more than satisfied.

Precision did a great job - very professional and they finished in less time than quoted. Overall an awesome job!

This company was very professional for the service repair. My only issue was I felt the price for the repair was a bit steep. I would put this company on my short list for future repairs, but I would definitely check other reputable companies in my area to compare prices before deciding on going with them again.

Showed up on time, did the work we paid them to do, and more, without any extra labor charges or up-sell.

Probably one of the best companies I have ever worked with. Had new Clopay 9200 and Lifmaster open installed. These guys were top-notch all the way from quote to cleanup and haul-away Love my door!

The work was done professionally and promptly.

Technician John arrived on time (actually early but called first) in uniform with ID and in a company truck. He showed me why the package I purchased was unnecessary (apparently the previous owner had had it done at some point) and it was cheaper to just pay for a standard service call. Lubed track hinges, and rollers and showed me the proper points to properly maintain the door myself between service calls. Advised me to "just run it until it breaks" and consider an upgrade to hurricane rated door at that time. No upsell, just a straight forward service visit, no "it needs to be replaced now or the world as we know it will come to a crashing end," exactly what I expect from a true professional technician and company. Well done.

He explained his suggestions carefully and precisely. I concurred with him on the other services. It was just a matter of time before I would have to call them back, so I brought the other services..

The technician was professional, thorough, explained our options and got the door fixed. I no longer cringe when the door opens! Very satisfied with the service.

He was prompt, courteous, very knowledgeable and professional. After his work, the garage door is extremely quiet and runs very smooth. Exceeded all expectations!

I couldn't open my garage door and get my car out. They came out right away and gave me an estimate. The technician was able to lift up my garage door so that I could get my car out until they could get the door fixed. I really appreciated that. They were prompt and professional.

I did not end up using the deal. I have cancelled the deal with Angie's List and requested a refund. I am giving them a grade A because they did contact me after purchasing the deal

They tried to sell me something that I didn't need. They serviced the garage door but it doesn't feel any different than before. They put new wiring, they said it was old and it could break or whatever so I went ahead on the premise that this place was built in 1989 and I really don't use the garage door very often. They put the new wiring in but it doesn't make a bit of difference. I don't feel that there was any change after they were out here. I don't feel like they did anything special. It didn't change anything the garage door works exactly the same as it did before they came out here. They were nice and courteous. They did their job and they left.

Quality door, professional and timely installation, competitive prices. They left the garage cleaner than it was before they arrived. Hire with confidence.

After the technician performed the inspection of my garage done I felt that a complete overhaul of the door, which includes a lifetime warranty was in order. The technician was able to complete the needed work within 2 hours. I now have a garage door that I do not need to worry about.

great job didn't try to sell me a new door just gave me great feedback on the job he came to perform.

Appointment was made for Monday morning (but never showed ) company canceled the appointment and rescheduled for Wednesday stating their truck broke down (Note: this is a big company and they only have one truck for service?) Once they arrived they were pushy on getting new items installed, such as new rollers, new springs and other items. That I felt the door really did not need but due to the fact it was a rental house and renter's were there it was installed at a price of $800. Also they did not honor the Angie's list coupon.

Technician showed up at 9:30 PM, a few hours after I called in the evening. Work went quickly and he had everything done in under 2 hours. The door works great and is very quiet now.

OK. Fix was a patch using washers, but did not re-align the garage door

My appointment was for anytime between 1 - 3pm, but at 11:15, I received a call from the technician Clayton. He had a cancellation and wanted to come early. Since I had a lot of appointments, I agreed. Clayton and another technician John arrived. I provided them with the offer from Angie's List and they started the inspection. After a short period of time, John knocked on the door and walked me through what the inspection revealed. My garage door and springs are 11 years old and have gotten very noisy, and were drooping a little. John informed me that the springs were starting to go bad. They could last a while longer, but they could also go bad at any time. I asked if he could do the work now and he said he could. I also inquired about a wireless remote keypad. Because of my Angie's List offer for other work, they gave me a 10% discount on the keypad. After about 2 hours, all the work was done and John even cleaned his dirty fingerprints off the garage door. I am very impressed with their work (John and Clayton), their punctuality and above all, their professionalism.

Kevin was right on time and quickly determined the issues and was able to fix it on the spot. He also identified other issues with the door components that could fail soon. There was no pressure to repair, but he wanted us to be aware of the risk and costs associated with it breaking -vs- repairing the issue. He also was able to silence the doors. They were extremely loud and after he tuned the up, they can barely be heard. Wonderful experience overall! Will use them again.
