Precision Garage Door Service

Session was great. Very professional on all levels. Total checkup preformed. One rail had to be straightened. All new rollers installed. No extra charge. Garage door now lifts much more quietly and so much smoother. Jerky uplift motion from before checkup is totally gone. This is why I use Angie's List.

Performed motor and chain adjustment, lubed chain, tightened/replaced screws on door, greased rollers.

Wonderful. Neal showed up right on time and gave us a lesson on door openers. He also gave us information on replacement of the garage door, which we will do after the holidays. He spent time and answered our many, many questions.. We were not pressured but felt that we were able to make our decisions based on facts. He was extremely professional and helpful. Took advantage of the big deal tune up and silencing package and what a difference it made! Very professional. The technician let me know ahead of time what time within the window I was given he would be there. He had everything done in less than an hour, and I couldn't be happier with the service!

I ordered the garage door silencing package and was happy to once again get Dennis as my technician. He was timely and informative. I would use this company again and do recommend them to my friends.

The technician Neil did a complete system check on all parts and components, made recommendations regarding the condition of key service items (with absolutely no pressure), answered all of my questions in terms I could easily understand, and just did an overall outstanding job.

Called to make an appointment and was told the tech could be there the same day between 11:00 and 1:00 pm. Got another call at about 11:00 and was told he would be here in about 20 minutes. The technician, Neil, arrived and got right to work inspecting the door and explaining what he would be doing. The door has been very noisy and is 13 years old so I expected it would need some additional work beyond the "tune up" . Neil pointed out the issues with the cables and springs and told me about their garage door overhaul but did not pressure me into purchasing it. I decided to go with the overhaul and get everything done at once and get the lifetime warranty on the parts. Now the door opens very nicely and is very quiet.

They were quick and efficient. The guy was personable. I did recommend their service to my daughter and she was pleased with them.

Got the Angie's special garage door tune up. Waited for a call during the prescribed time period shown on the order. That didn't happen I had to call them. That was a song and dance with a morning call turning into a late afternoon response. Not impressed with their scheduling at all. | |The tech who did get here was prompt and efficient in doing the contracted work. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and did a good job. I felt bad for him making excuses for the inept people who scheduled this job.

I was very impressed by the knowledge of the gentleman that came to my house. First, he introduced himself and showed me his ID badge ,and then he explained all the functions of the door. He is very nice and hard working man, seems that he loves his job or at list what he is doing because my door is great. My son came to visit and right away said to me Mom what did you do to the garage door? I opened it and it was so silent that i thought I was in the wrong house. Thank you again, great job.

Dennis arrived on time, listened to my description of the malfunction, quickly diagnosed the problem, and explained the options available to me. I chose a replacement unit that he had in his truck. Dennis installed the new unit along with a new exterior wireless keypad in the time frame he promised. I am pleased with the installation and the added features of the new unit. It has operated quietly and reliably since.

It turned out well. The man that did the work seemed to know what he was doing. He was right on time and did a good job. He was finished in about 45 minutes. I would use this company again.

The service went very well. They showed up when they said they would and they did the job that they said they would. They did a very good job with the service. The work was good quality and the punctuality was right on target. The gentleman was very professional, he had the parts with him, and he explained everything that he was doing. He cleaned up after himself as well.

We were given a 2 hour window when we made the appointment. The technician Rob Stephenson called on the day of the appointment to say that he was 30 minutes away. He showed up on the beginning time of our window. Gave us an estimate in 5 minutes and had the new tension springs installed in less than an hour. He was very knowledgable and personable. We will do business with him and the company again.

Did a good job , came on time, etc. Workman was very personable. Only problem was we had to contact them. I understood the company would be calling us with -in 2 day's. Other then that , we were very satisfied.

Initial visit did not fix the problem even though it was working when repairman left. Called company. They returned on a timely basis. Evaluated situation again. Found another problem. Did not have necessary part on truck. Had to return s third day. Repair was then completed. There was only one service call charge and one labor charge. Repairman was polite and professional at all times.

The service agent (who was extremely pleasant and very professional) balanced the door, adjusted the springs replaced the rollers, tightened the cable, checked the drums, the center bearing, the pulleys and forks, hinges, brackets, tracks, bottom weather seal and panel condition.

Door lifts easier and quieter.

Turns out the door was not making the noise - but it was the opener, which we've had for about 5 years. The service tech, believe his name was Neil, got into the opener and greased it and did what he could to make it more quiet. My husband was home at the time and he was extremely impressed by the rep's caring attitude in attempting to resolve the issue, even though the device wasn't installed by Precision. With service like this, Precision Garage Door Service will be recommended to any and all who are requiring this service. Thank you.

Provided service the same day we phoned. Gave an accurate estimate of when they would arrive. Phoned when they were on the way. (Alerted us that they could arrive earlier than scheduled if we would like, because the previous job was completed early. Since, our door wouldn't open, we were glad.) Excellent quality work installing new system. Professional and pleasant to deal with.

When I saw the special on Angie's List for a $99 deal on a tune-up and silencing package for my garage door, I thought it sounded too good to pass up. I had the service done today and was really impressed with how much quieter my door is now. The technician, Dennis Managan, was very professional, informative and neat. He took the time to explain what he was going to do, then did the work. He also explained a lot of things about garage doors that I did not know. I would certainly have him back again in the future.

My husband switched out the rollers on the door but the cable came off and he was unable to get it back on. I called Precision Garage Door Service due to your ad on Angie's List about silent rollers and installation for $99. When I called, the operator said there would be a charge of $24.95. She said if there parts to be replaced, there would be additional charges. I questioned her repeatedly about that charge since it sounded too low, and she assured me that was the charge. That was actually the service call charge, not including labor, which she failed to explain. Of course it sounded low, but misleading. Ed, the repairman, was extremely nice and informative and had it fixed within 30 minutes. He said the charge for rehanging the door was $125 plus a fuel charge of $10, plus the $24.95 service call...a total of $159.95. I told him that is not what I understood, not to mention the ad for $99 for rollers and installation. He told us we should really replace the spring (for several hundred dollars additional). However, we chose only to have the cable reconnected, and paid the $159.95. No warranty on his labor. Later, when looking up the company online, I find coupons for free service fee or $25 off of service over $100 by mentioning that we saw the ad online. The repairman should have given us a heads up about these discounts since we discussed our disappointment with the conversation about charges with the scheduling operator. We are truly disappointed with the charge after seeing the online price. We expected better by going through Angie's List. Due to this experience, and since Angie's List recently automatically billed us for renewal without our authorization, I don't think we will continue our membership after this year. Apparently we can do better by checking companies out online. Bottom Line: Service was excellent so far, but cost was much more than we anticipated.

The service rep, Rob, was pleasant and explained all that he was about to do with the tune-up. We had the springs replaced in May of '08 and at that time, one of the cables was installed incorrectly and was putting extra strain on the door and cable. After the balance and new rollers were put in, and speaking with Rob about the future of the garage door, I opted to get the overhaul package because it comes with a lifetime warranty, so if the springs, rollers and/or cables go while we live here, Precision will replace. At no time did I feel presured by Rob, he assured me I could wait to do the springs, etc., but I wanted to do it while he was here and felt being pro-active was the way to go. We've lived in this house since it was built, and after 13 years have to be prepared to spend some extra money up front to prevent a bigger problem in the end.
