On small jobs we do most of the building ourselves (we have two to three additional employees) and we use sub-contractors for our major site work, electrical, plumbing, HVAC. On large projects we also sub-contract carpentry, masonry and concrete work. After pretty much a total remodel of both bathrooms and the kitchen, we experienced a homeowners nightmare...a plumber was doing periodic maintenance on our cast iron infrastructure when a pipe broke. After analyzing solutions with them, which included knocking out walls in both bathrooms, the owner handed us off to APEX. Joe and Mike came over to the house and examined what we had & took pictures. After running cameras through everything, they developed a hybrid solution that involved undermining accessible pipes and replacing with minimal intrusion as well as refurbishing and epoxy coating the remaining small segments of cast iron that would remain. Joe sat down at our dining room table and mapped it all out; showing us video of each problem point as well as what was salvageable & gave us a price. We signed off on it. With much apprehension on our part knowing our home was about to be dissected, Elliot and John arrived to start work. They were prompt, respectful, & empathetic to our dilemna. They were also insistent about putting protective paper down everywhere they worked to protect the flooring. At the end of the day, they swept, vacuumed, and mopped any debris that was remaining. This was the standard throughout the entire engagement. Their workmanship and attention to detail was spot on. All of Joe’s guys were phenomenal. John, Elliot, Matt; I cannot remember all their names, were consummate professionals of the highest degree. I would not hesitate to recommend APEX Plumbing."

"Signed contract 11/12. Permitting request made; permit issued 1/30/2025. Drywall/insulation work begun almost immediately. Spoke on phone with GC just over 2 weeks ago to review time frame for rest of work. GC stated he planned to meet with me and walk through the following week. Stated painting would begin the following week (this would be the week of 2/10). Neither event happened. Also asked about floor tiling job, as I had outside company doing the job & wanted to let that person know when he could plan on the job starting. GC stated 2 weeks out; that would have been this past week. This didn't happen either. I texted GC 2/18 to ask if we could meet at house the next day. No reply. Called cell # 2/19 requesting call back to discuss lack of recent progress. Emailed 2/21 with same request, reminding him that I'm renting a place & am unable to stay indefinitely. Again asking about time frame on project. On 2/22, texted again, asking that he please call me. Each time I've attempted contact, I've asked him to please call me to discuss project & time line. He has not responded to me at all. This is the reason for my complaint. As of now, I feel left in the dark about whatever is happening or not. He is not communicating to me. I feel like he is avoiding contact. At present, I have no idea what his plans are schedule-wise for the project. It feels like my house project is in limbo right now. For more than a week, nothing has been done inside the house, with no explanation as to why. I think the GC has possibly over-extended himself, due to the magnitude of people needing assistance post-hurricanes and therefore may not have much spare time. But he needs to make sure his customers are being taken care of and communicated with."

"The salesman Dennis, don’t believe him, you will never see him again. He said they wouldn’t start a second job until ours was finished, either he or his partner would be there every day, and how they wouldn’t leave until we were satisfied with everything. None of those things happened. The job was scheduled to go for 10 days. The three-person crew that started were great. Then Tim started pushing us to remodel the kitchen, or our second bathroom. I told him no. That is when everything changed. The next day we had a one man crew. Everything turned into an argument. Tim refused to install baseboards in the bathroom, even though they had removed them, or rebuilt the walls. Tim said it wasn't in the contract so he wasn't doing it unless I paid more. I will admit that baseboards are not mentioned in the contract. Neither is caulking, drywall texture, or painting. All of which they did without question."
