Our a/c died over the weekend and when I called first thing Monday morning, the pleasant lady took my info and told me when to expect the technician and what the cost would be to diagnose the problem. He arrived on time and introduced himself and went to work. BAD news. This would not be a quick fix, as I had hoped. He showed me exactly what was wrong and what would be needed. Ours was old, had gotten rusted and had also sprung a leak .He took pity on us and said that he would try a "patch" fix that would get us through until a new one would be here. Now the new one wouldn't get here until Thursday, 4 very hot days away. Naturally, we were grateful for the temporary fix, and he said to call back if it developed any problems. Unfortunately, one hour after he left I had to call back as it had stopped working. Again spoke with helpful lady who took my info and in less that 10 minutes the same gentleman, Fred, called me back. He told me he would make some calls to see if he could locate the a/c we needed and find someone to install it. To our very great surprise, he was successful. On Tuesday (the next day) at exactly the time specified, two men arrived with our new a/c. They completed the work in the baking sun. This company has a great group of people working for them. Every one I dealt with was polite and actually made us feel that we were important to them. I will always recommend them to anyone and would call again if I have any problems in the future.

I called to request a quote on the replacement of the blower when fan on my furnace and spoke with Kim. I explained to her that I had no heat due to a catastrophic failure of the blower motor fan in my air handler. She obtained the necessary identification from the air handler and advised that she would check on the part pricing and availability and call me back with an estimate. A very reasonable time later Kim called me back and said the part was available and they could have it installed for $350. This was the least expensive estimate for the replacement of just the fan blower wheel out of the four companies that I received estimates from. I opted to go with another contractor who quoted a price of $538 for replacing the entire contents of the blower motor housing to include the motor, which seemed like a good idea given the age of the system and the potential damage caused to the bearings due to the blower wheel turning out of balance over a period of time and eventually failing completely. I found the pricing to be reasonable, and their employees to be very empathetic and responsive. I would definitely give them a shot ay any future heating or AC needs.

They came twice, 1st was to get details for estimate, 2nd time they called and scheduled to perform work, arrived on time, very pleasant and worked with me.

No problems. Electrician was prompt friendly, polite did his job sickly and well. Cleaned up. Good experience.

Technician arrived within 1 hour of my request for service. He was knowledgeable and very thorough in diagnosing the problem. I was enjoying cool air within 2 hours of my phone call for service. He even suggested a method for getting rid of an armadillo who had taken up residence close to my outside a/c unit. I will definitely use Schmitt again if I have any a/c problems.

Rick provided a verbal espimate over the phone and then confirmed it in person the next day after evaluating my home and current system. He was on time, friendly, professional and provided a great estimate. My only reason for selecting someone else was a slighhtly better warranty and quicker install date

Schmitt showed up on time and completed the check-up in a timely manner for the agreed upon price. I've had the same service tech for the past couple of check-ups which is a plus for me.

We get a yearly maintenance checkup and filter change, since this has been the only HVAC company we have had since 2005. They have knowledgeable techs who know their stuff. Non warranty labor for any HVAC techs is not cheap, but likewise it is reassuring to get techs who know the job well.

Arrived on time, covered floor with cloth, went right to work. Very professional.

All techs were personable and accommodating. In fact, the electrical issues were fixed at substantially lower cost then initial estimate. Scheduling staff also accommodating and helpful.

The service was very good. The employee was very efficient and thorough.

Was on time, did process of elimination throughout wire maze to I.D. the problem.

Fire / smoke alarm replaced & we slept well that night!

They did a wonderful job. The opening for the return that I had was too small. They fixed it and I love it. I have no complaints. They took very good care of my home. They even wore booties in my house to help protect the floors! If you call them with any questions, they answer and are really helpful. They helped me with the energy rebate paperwork.

Overall one of the best experiences we have had with a service provider and one we will keep on our do call list

We called Schmitt, Inc. to inspect our AC system. They scheduled an appointment promptly; their technician arrived on time and got to work. He found that our system was not cooling properly and we needed to replace a part. We were charged an $80 "diagnostic charge" , which we knew about before the technician arrived, and the remaining $454 was for the part and its replacement . We inquired if we could purchase the part via the internet for less and have the technician install it. He said that was not possible - company policy. We agreed, reluctantly, to the work being done so that we could have a functioning system. Later we found the exact replacement part online for less than $50 (retail price) and with labor charges we would have had a repaired system for around $100. We think Schmitt, Inc does a good job and we want them to be profitable, but we feel that their mark-up on parts is excessive.

Tom, the electrician, was very professional, informative and efficient. His pricing was reasonable.

I have a contract with them. If the a/c breaks down I have to pay because the unit is older. Previously I didn't have to pay anything if repairs were needed. They spent a good amount of time checking the equipment. They were very good and I have no complaints. It is a good company. They are courteous and follow up. They come when they say they are going to come. They are very punctual.

They saved my elderly aunt and uncle by being very honest and by doing very good work. They did exactly what they said they would do. They were very professional. I spent $300 on the job, while another company was quoting $4000 for doing the same job. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone because they are honest and they do not take advantage of senior citizens. I will use them again in the future.

Schmitt Inc misdiagnosed the problem which ended up costing me a hundred dollars extra. If the first person hadn't shown up it would've been great. The first person said everything was fine and that it had to be some kind of scale on the air conditioner. He then scaled something and that was about a hundred bucks. The next person that showed up knew what part needed to be replaced. When he replaced it, the air conditioner worked fine. They didn't charge for the second service but I felt they should've done something for doing work that didn't need to be done. I would not use them again because of that.

The entire experience was great. The salesman, Mike, was prompt, professional and courteous and answered all our questions. He left me with two written estimates to choose from. Both estimates were all inclusive, they included all permits, additional electrical, hurricane pad and installation, removal of old system and trash. I called for a installation date, and got the date I requested. The install supervisor, Brian, made an appointment to survey the job the Thursday before the job was scheduled, he was prompt, polite and courteous and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. The installers arrived in the morning around 9 AM, did all the required work including the removal of all the excess hot water plumbing from our water heater that was used in the old Apollo Heat System. They did a great job, removing the old system, installing the new system, showing us how to use the new thermostat, cleaning the entire work site and hauling all the trash and old system out of here. They were very courteous and worked very hard in the 90+ degree heat. They had the new system up and running before 2 PM that day. (about 5 hours). This was a most enjoyable and problem free installation because everyone involved at Schmitt took the time to plan it out and made sure everything that was needed was on the truck Monday morning. They did a great job

I liked that they were extremely professional. When they came to give the quote, they told me what I needed. They didn't try to sell me the moon. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves. They supervisors came out when they were done and made sure everything was good. They had me wait a week to pay them to make sure it worked properly. They even sent me a thank you note afterwards.
