Excellent experience all around. Prompt phone calls from the time I ordered on Angies, to the time the job was finished. Appointments made immediately, came and measured and showed up on time for install date. Everything looks and works great. Will use them again to finish the rest of my house. A+ experience !

Very well. They're brilliant. They were here in April of 2016. There were additional charges for additional work but that was okay. It cost $700 for both times.

The good: Every worker that came to the house was professional and courteous and did great work. The job, once it was finally complete, met my expectations. The bad: I had a 6 day window to get this job completed. When i signed the contract, I was very specific about my availability and it was acknowledged by Nicole (weather permitting). The painters arrived on time on day 1 and had the painting complete by the end of the second day. Day 3, I received a call at about 11am advising me that the workers who were supposed to do the facia and soffit work were stuck at another job that had taken longer than expected and that they would have to reschedule. Nicole promised to call by the end of the day with an update. She didn't call back that day. Day 4 I called the office to find out that they wouldn't be working on my house that day either. The job was finally completed more than a month later due, in part, to my insistence on being present while the work was being performed. The ugly: The office staff (Nick and Nicole) were very polite and cordial when things were going their way but when things fell apart, they were very difficult to communicate with showed a lack of respect for my time by not providing timely notification when other jobs took priority over mine.

Thank you for the response. We were very aware of your necesarry timeline, and your improvement request was placed on schedule as a priority based on your needs; however, with the soffit/fascia job that was previously scheduled running longer than expected, or as originally scheduled, due to additional work that was necessary for completion we were required to extend your completion time as well. These issues are unforeseen yet we do have to be fair to all of our clients that we work with daily. We did make every attempt to work with your schedule while talking with you regulary about when you were expected to be in town, etc. Unfortunately, we are not able to put our Crew Members on hold while awaiting your availbility, so we did commence improvements for other clients while awaiting your availbility to commence work again. I am perplexed as to why you awarded us such low ratings in the areas of responsiveness and punctuality, even though you had confidence in our company during this time that you had Nick return to your home for additional interior remodel estimates prior to us completing the original sofft & fascia request. Thos estimates were completed with a number of phone calls to duscuss further, often times these conversations even took place during evening and weekend hours in efforts to accommodate your schedule and availability. Please understand, with more than one day required to complete your installation, it is never feasible for any company to send a Crew out one day at a time - it is preferred that we complete your request within the required time during consecutive business days. For your request, it was imperative that we scheduled and coordinated more than one day to complete your improvement(s). Additionally, we do require at least one week's notice which seemed difficult due to your ever-changing schedule; hpwever, we made all atampts to accommodate your situation. We are glad that you were very satisfied with the qualtiy fo work that is evident with the A-rating in that area.

I don't remember the exact date when the owner came to give me an estimate. I don't have the exact quote of the estimate because I disposed of the estimate. But I do remember that the quote was higher than others I had gathered. When the owner came, he was all over the place. What I mean is that he talked a mile a minute and changed subjects faster than we could follow. He loved my house, and wanted to make the apartment his "man cave" and went on and on about clearing the back of the property, etc. He wanted to buy my antique refrigerator and just had to have his wife come out to see my house because he loved it so much. He also went on and on about how much of a problem he had at his house in Beacon Woods and about how many times he was cited by the HOA and had to pay a fine. All of this had nothing to do with my estimate. He told me his wife would go over our requests and issue an estimate. His wife came out a few days later and looked at the house. We don't even have it on the market yet. Anyway, I didn't mind that she came and looked. And she told me that they were going to hold off on purchasing the refrigerator. I can tell you that his personality and demeanor turned me off from even considering him to do my repairs. He would drive me crazy. I can say that no one at any time was rude or nasty. It was a personality clash. But when you come for an estimate, I don't want to hear your wants, dislikes and problems. Be professional.

Thank you for the perplexing review. I am not sure what any of the content has to do with your estimate, however, the conversations you are referring to were additional conversations that had taken place after the discussion of your requested work for your scheduled estimate. I am sorry to hear that you felt these conversations as unprofessional and a waste of your time, yet at any point you should've simply stated that you are not interested in discussing any other portions. During the time of our visit, you were preparing for a large estate sale where the goods consumed the majority of your home on both stories. If you were not interested in showcasing these items during your scheduled estimate, I would suggest next time that you do not bring the estimator around to showcase your items for sale. Nick's wife actually arrived the very next day to pick-up some pots and pans that we purchased during your initial estimate, after you showcased your many items available for sale. Amanda stayed and chatted with you for about an hour, and that conversation as well had nothing to do with your estimate - it was mere small talk and conversation on more of a personal basis. I would suggest that in the future, you relay the information that you feel the company or its representatives are not a good fit for you either during the estimate or once you have received your proposal rather than tossing the proposal, leaving a poor review, and accepting the follow-up phone calls from our office that you have yet to make a final decision for your requested work. At this point, I will personally pull your your proposal from our follow-up files. Never met with him - my husband told him to "go pound sand" (hopefully he managed to maintain enough composure not to say that in a more derogatory manner). Terrible way to run a business. We would never even consider using them at this point.
Description of Work: I called 2.5 weeks ago and scheduled for an estimate for a small home addition. Sent an email with specific information about what we wanted to have done, and the person scheduled Nick to come out to look at the home and give us an estimate. First appointment we could get was for today. Nick even called one day last week to make the appointment a little earlier in the day. So today, 30 minutes before he was supposed to show up at the house where my husband was waiting, he called and said that we would need to pay $300 to get plans drawn up before he could give us an estimate (having never yet seen the house or discussed in detail what we needed). My husband did end up arguing with him about why we needed plans in order to get a general cost estimate. We don't have money to waste for full plans when we are just trying to find out if we can afford to have the addition done. First off, it is ridiculous that he can't give a price range for something fairly basic like we need; and second, that he waited until 30 minutes before he was supposed to show up to call and tell us that is what we would need to pay to get an estimate. No wonder Florida has the worst reputation for general contractors.

There has obviously been a misunderstanding from the message that was attempted to be relayed during your phone conversation. You must realize and understand that bids take time to produce, often hours of time on our part for such items "fairly basic" as you need - such as a simple room addition. There is really no such thing as a "ballpark" or "general numbers/figures" that can be plugged into the scope of work you are looking to have completed. Nick called in attempt to gauge where you are in progression of your project. If you were seriously looking to have the addition completed, you would be looking into obtaining your plans to move forth. The reaction Nick received from your husband upon asking the question about obtaining plans, told Nick that it was in his best interest to allow you to receive quotes from other contractors. The fact that the statement is in your review: "We don't have money to waste for full plans when we are just trying to find out if we can afford to have the addition done" fully relays that your intentions are to obtain bids from several contractors to determine a long-term financial plan for yourselves in order to complete this project. Florida may have a poor reputation for many once honored career paths - including contractors, teachers, police officers, even nurses; however, there is often much information that is not understood by the homeowner when dealing with contractors. There are many misconceptions in this world beyond any of our control, but I am able to easily conclude that it was in our best interest to not meet with you for your requested project. We take pride in everything do as a team and as a company. We are always willing to complete small and large bids for any property owner who makes that request. In fact, we complete many bids without plans available; based on our contractor's and team's trade knowledge, even if the property owner is looking to obtain pricing for a long-term financial strategy savings effort. I believe the real issue here was the reaction to the question in efforts to gauge your status and likeliness of having this project completed. We wish you the best in your endeavors and we hope you offer a much kinder reaction to the contractors and representatives that will have the opportunity to bid your project(s) in the future.

The installers came out as scheduled. They reviewed the area on the two story garage/apartment where the gutters were to be placed and discussed with me the placement of the downspouts. The old gutters had previously been removed. They removed the old downspouts. They installed the new gutters and downspouts in about 2 hours and cleaned up the area. The trim on the garage/apartment is green and the gutter color matched perfectly. The installers were friendly and professional. I am very satisfied with the completed work. I would definitely recommend using Home Res-Q for your gutter needs.

Original estimate date was set up for 2/4/16. Then we received a call on 1/29/16 asking if it was ok to have the estimate performed on Saturday 1/30/16 between 2 and 3p. On Saturday received a call again to advise rep would be here at 2:30p. Then received another call advising rep was stuck in Largo and would be here by 3p. At 3:30p received call from the rep advising he would not be able to make it due to traffic and could we reschedule for Monday 2/1/16, which we did. Monday came - no one showed up at all. We did not pursue another call.

I couldn't find any granite that I liked so I just had them glaze the shower and installed new shower doors. I also had them installed 8 cabinet doors in the bathroom and kitchen. The total bill was 2938.01. They weren't on time for anything throughout the job. They said they would appoint someone to watch over the job and they never did so I had to keep calling the receptionist when I would run into problems. There was a delay on everything with this project. I was disappointed with them as well.

We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment throughout your experience with our company. It was negotiated upon your contract signing, as of the schedule and date for your glazing and glass shower door installation, that everything run to with your anticipated schedule prior to your visitors and family arriving to your home. Everything was pre-scheduled and confirmed with you prior to installation so we are unsure where the notion that we were not on time is stemming from. The cabinet doors were ordered and installed as expected too; however, there was the portion of the master bathroom doors that were sent with transposed measurements. Upon the return of our installer, the replacement items were called into the supplier even though delivery was delayed due to the holidays. Upon the receive of your replacement doors, installation was scheduled with you directly and again confirmed. We strive for customer satisfaction and work hard to make sure you have the products you were expecting and want to include with your installation. As far as the granite, you even went to the granite supplier to view their 20,000 sq ft warehouse and were unable to find something that you wanted installed that was within the restraints of your allowable budget. I am sorry to hear you did not like any available options of the natural stone granite, so we did offer a full 100% refund of those funds as well as remove those items form your contract without any additional fees. Amanda, your sales rep and owner, was very diligent to make sure you were satisfied and that every installation was done with plenty of notice to yourself. She, as well as the rest of the office staff, is perplexed by your dissatisfaction. Please call our office for additional assistance and to see what we can do to make this matter satisfactory for you.

The job was done very professionally. They communicated every detail of the job to me. I had 4 other companies and these guys gave me the best price for the work they did. They were the only ones that would take all the old wood soffit out which to me meant that I would have more ventilation in my attic. The other companies wanted to leave the wood soffit up and put the vinyl on top. They do practically anything to a home that you would need to fix or even build. I would definitely hire them again.

When I called to setup appointment, she started saying that someone will come to my home to give estimate. I told her that I need 2 painters for 1 day. She insists that someone will come my home and give quote. Someone (basically the cheater) came to my home to give estimate. Abnormally rude and headstrong. He told that he will charge $1900 for the painting work. I told him what about $447 deal. He says that money goes to Angieslist and I have to pay him $1900 for the work. Stay away from such cheaters.

Dear Sir, I see that you originally purchased your Paint Big Deal on 7/23/2015 and we were able to accommodate your consultation since our representative was already in your area. Now unfortunately, we do not have painters on stand-by for each time we receive notice that a Big Deal purchase is made. Also, it is required to complete the consultation prior to commencing the paint work so we can discuss the amount of work to be completed. This consultation is by no means a way of cheating you in any way. The purpose of this consultation is to discuss, negotiate, and agree on the amount of work to be completed within that amount of time since the deal can be used toward walls, ceilings, doors or even trim. Being as these production times are not all equal, we are unable to send our painters right over to your home upon your Big Deal purchase. Furthermore, the Big Deal purchase is required to be purchased through Angie's List prior to the scheduled consultation - these are the rules of Angie's List. Any additional amount that is asked to pay for painting states that the paint work requested would have been completed in more that a single day for the 2-painters. There are no hidden costs or fees affiliated with this deal, and we do not charge additional amounts for the Angie's List purchase. Our prices remain the same, whether you did or did not purchase the deal; our prices are determined by square/linear footage, height of ceiling, & production time. I am sure you will find that we are competitive with our pricing when compared to other licensed and insured companies. We wish you the best and hope you understand how the purchased deal works to avoid this situation again, even with other companies.

They were very helpful. 3 guys were scheduled. The first guy showed up a half hour early and made sure they would have whatever was needed. The second guy showed up right on time and they got busy. The third guy was an hour late but the first two didn't let that slow them down and the company only billed me for exactly the guys hours without me having to say anything to them. They did a good job cleaning up and were very pleasant and did what it took to make it happen. Overall it was a very good experience and I would hire them again.

They put one coat on and had to come back and put some more on. The price was reasonable. I thought that they were responsive. I wouldn't mind using them again. Other than having to come back, I would probably have given them an A. They were responsive and they had no problems coming back and going over the parts that I wanted them to go over.

They replaced some of the screens of my Lanai that I didn't ask them to, and I had to ask them to come back to rescreen some areas that they did do. One of the workers also put his elbows through the screening; they said they'd be back to fix the screen but never did.

I hope to add the details after work is performed! Thank you, I am looking forward to this work on my Ybor (Tampa) home.
Description of Work: We are waiting for Historic Preservation District of City of Tampa to approve my exterior color choice of Paint, and the guys are going to caulk, pressure wash, scrape, and possibly repair some of the Stucco at ground level before they paint. I'm very excited and was impressed with the owner, Nick's, careful assessment, measuring, and written quote and he's available for any questions before we get started. I purchased a small 'Angie's Deal' which is credited on the estimate, and I've decided to go ahead and paint entire home.

They were very good. They left some small sharp pieces on my driveway. They had to come back and finish the job and another piece of metal left in the lawn. I called and told them the job was nice but could improve on cleaning up the job site.

Purchased a coupon for 50' gutter installation for $350 to get half of my house done (which was about 50'). Ended up getting half of the shed done too (another 20'). Overall, 80' extra (on top of the initial 50') were installed. Apparently downspouts count toward the total footage. Existing downspouts were fine, but they did not want to reuse them. $700 seems steep for the amount of work done. Was disappointed that they couldn't reuse or fix the existing stuff and had to replace it all. I was told during the estimate that, in order to have the downspout go where I wanted it, the front porch gutter and downspouts had to be replaced, so I ended up paying for this. The guy that actually did the install was able to do it in a way that did not require them to be replaced, though they were replaced anyways (not his fault- this was on the work order). Disappointed that I had to pay for these to be replaced for no reason. The work was done professionally. No complaints there.
Description of Work: Installed replaced faulty gutter. Installed new gutter and downspouts.

[Removed Member Name], it was explained during the estimate that we are not able to re-use your existing downspouts while replacing the seamless gutter. In order for us to guarantee our work, craftsmanship, and provide you the 2-year labor warranty we do replace all portions of the gutter that are asked to be installed. Yes, downspouts are included when calculating the required linear footage - this is standard industry practice for any seamless gutter company since it is material used and installed just like the roll coil to create the seamless gutter runs. We are very sorry to hear of your complaints and concerns after the improvement was installed - since it is impossible for us to clarify or rectify ANY concerns or complaints after the fact. Please remember when working with our company again, or any company for that fact, to express these concerns and/or complaints during the scheduling or installation process so they may be handled. They made appointments and did not keep them. They said they would be here at a certain time and did not show up. I talked to the boos on the phone and he said they would be able to do it on a different day no show .The workers came with the wrong equipment and could not do the job the works said no one told them about tools needed but it was written on my copy of the bill.

We apologize for any confusion. It was explained by Nick, upon initial estimate, that the 5" gutter you requested was a special order material. We specialize in 6" and 7" gutter, as it states on all of our advertisement. We were happy to help you out and oblige your request for 5" gutter, yet it did require a 5" gutter run for special order. Upon the initial arrival of our crew, they were prepared with the correct tools; however, they did not arrive with the correct special order material - this WAS an over sight on our part and we have no objection to take full blame for this oversight. From this point, Nick contacted you regarding the back order of material issue and told you personally that the work would not be scheduled until the special ordered material was in our shop. However, you cancelled your installation within a short period of time even thought the non-refundable order was originally placed. Your requested material is located in our shop. If you would like to have this situation rectified, we would be happy to discuss this with you further at your earliest convenience.

Went well after some negotiation with Owner/Manager reference painting job that was not made clear in the beginning. Otherwise, we are happy with the job overall.

They were able to work the job into our tight schedule. We had everything moved out of the home. They came in, taped everything off, and painted. They cleaned up after themselves. They did everything that we had asked of them. The work was perfect!
Description of Work: I purchased a deal for two painters for a day. They painted a large kitchen and great room during a remodel.
