The crew of 10 men came out on schedule and worked non stop the entire day tearing out the old roof and replacing with new plywood and flashing. They even took the time to paint the new trim. The roof passed inspection with the City of Sunrise with no issues.

Extremely reliable and honest ; Cris Ortiz came to my house exactly when they said he would , inspected the area , took pictures and showed me that the problem wasn't with the roof but was with some cracks in the second story concrete that goes in to the roof on the first story. Another local company gave me an estimate of $3200 to repair the roof which wasn't apparently leaking at all. Thanks for being so helpful.

Excellent! He gave me a quote on Wednesday right then and there. Chris was very thorough and gave me an explanation for everything. No pressure at all. Chris was great! I also provided some of the materials. I text him on Friday and he came on Saturday. They were very accommodating. He was there when he said he will be there. Amazing customer service!

After an initial visit full of nice marketing words they never even sent the estimate or respondend to follow up calls. I own several buildings in Miami Beach and would not consider to do business with them.

Guys were great--Don responded quickly & scheduled estimate for next day. Work done the following Monday--2 repairmen arrived early & repair completed in about 2 hours. Work looks great & they left work area cleaner than the found it. Guys were pleasant & efficient. Would definitely use again.

Mike and Kenneth called shortly before 8:00 AM to confirm we were home and arrived shortly thereafter. Mike went up into the attic and confirmed that it was the same leak. They were very thorough, took their time, and made sure the leak was plugged by pouring water all over it. They cleaned up after themselves and left the area better than when they found it. They did an excellent job and were very kind to a nervous old lady!

I had a leak for years that no one could fix. I finally resigned myself to the fact that I needed a new roof given the age of my current one. I received 3 estimates all in the same range, all were quite expensive. Then a friend of mine recommended J & K Roofing. They came out and inspected the roof. The did the most thorough inspection of all the roofers and as a result informed me that I did not need a new main roof. It could be repaired and they were so confident in the repair that they gave me a good warranty too. Further, they said my roof still had an additional 10 plus years of life to it. They repaired my main roof for a fraction of what others wanted for a new roof. And they replaced the flat roof for a very good price as well. They showed up promptly, completed the job quickly, they were neat, clean and polite. And they fixed the leak!! There's a reason J & K Roofing is at the TOP of Angie's List. I give them an A+++++

Asked for an estimate on Thursday and they were out to my home on Friday and installed the vents in Saturday. Mike and Bo did the installation and were great.

J & K Roofing provided me with an initial roofing assessment and consultation on the maintenance of my roof. I was very pleased with Sammy's professionalism, punctuality and honesty. At no cost, he advised me on how to maintain my roof and honestly stated that my roof was in good condition and that nothing needed to be done at the moment. I would gladly work with this company in the future for my roofing needs.

I had a flat roof done a couple years ago and the tie in is leaking. I've had other roofers come out and look at it and they said the work was done incorrectly. I contacted them and they said they can pull up the contract and look at it and that they would get back to me within a week. I am hoping for a quick resolution to this.

I had a few cracked roof tiles that were bothering me. I was procrastinating about calling J&K or any other roofing company because I thought maybe the job wasn't big enough. Then last week during that torrential rainfall we had I noticed a leak coming from the shower stall light. I looked on Angie's list for some roofers to get a quote. Then I remembered my brother used J&K to put up a new roof for him several months ago. My brother said he was extremely happy with them and that I should call Fred (owner's son). This was a Wednesday night around 5:45pm. I called and left a message for Fred on his cell. I figured I wouldn't hear back from Fred or anyone for a few days. About 10 minutes later Fred called. I explained what the issue was and that my brother referred him. Fred said my brother had called him a few weeks ago saying I might be calling. I told Fred I procrastinated because I wasn't sure if coming out to fix several cracked tiles was a big enough job. Fred advised it was no problem. The next day (Thursday) Sammy came out and after inspecting the roof determined the leak was coming from the sky light. Sammy was a rather nice southern speaking gentleman, and stated he would have his guys out to my home on Saturday. Sammy quoted me $1,850 for the job. I forgot to tell Fred I was a Angie member, and when I told Sammy, he said just tell the guys that come out Saturday to take the 10% off the bill. Saturday morning at 8am J&K was knocking on my door. 3 hours later my roof was repaired. I told the workers what Sammy had said and they advised to go ahead and take 10% off the bill. Now it hasn't rained since so I'll wait to see how the repair holds up, but I'm confident it will be fine. I was very pleased with Fred, Sammy and the two gentleman that worked on my roof. I couldn't believe they got back to me so quickly. I was impressed. Thanks Fred! I will definitely use your company again, as well as refer anyone with a roofing issue.

Two workers spent the better part of the day repairing the leak in my roof. They carefully lifted the existing roof tiles without breaking them. This was an important step in the process as they were able to reuse them later, so we don't have different color tiles. They replaced all rotted wood, including extensive replacing of facia boards. They were professional and cleaned up and took away all the debris. They did a great job.

I would say that the job was handled from the beginning phone call, to the end of the job, with special attention, promptness, efficiency, experience and a job well done. I would definitely use J&K Roofing again and have told friends and relatives about this company and my experience. I noticed the leak the morning of 2/16/16 and remembered J & K Roofing and good things I had heard. I immediately called Don the owner, who was very nice and helpful and made sure I had an estimator out the next morning. On 2/17/16, Sammy arrived at the schedule time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He went on the roof to check it's condition and area of roof needing repair. He asked that I go outside to show me the two turbines on the roof. He pointed out that they were not working, they were rusted, and that this would cause moisture in the attic, from weather conditions. I was not aware of their condition and was happy he pointed this out. Sammy made appointment for repairs to be done 2/19/16. Mike and his team arrived a few minutes earlier than appointment. Mike came in checked the kitchen leak and he and team immediately went on the roof and did the repairs. This team was well mannered, explained they would be repairing the roof and replacing the turbines for gooseneck vents. The job was done in great time and there was no mess left behind. I also was given a 10% discount for the job. Thanks to Don for having such a great crew of personnel/workers, all of which were courteous, knowledgeable, prompt and definitely have the expertise needed. My thanks to all of them and I would definitely call them again if a problem occurs.

Chris came out a couple of weekends ago and gave us an estimate on our roof repairs. He was on time, courteous and explained the process thoroughly. The guys were scheduled to show up on Friday morning to start the work, they showed up on time (8am) and worked on the roof til the afternoon (3 guys). Explained the steps to me along the way, answered all my questions and concerns, etc. It rained heavily yesterday by our home, although its been a short while since the repairs, all is good thus far (they warranty the repairs for 1 years time). I will recommend J&K Roofing to my family and friends without hesitation. And yes, they honored the 10% discount coupon on Angies list.

He was very honest. He informed me that I would be able to do the specific job I needed much cheaper on my own. He was very good at explaining to me what I would need to do, and he did patch up a couple of small things. He wasn't going to charge me for the minor work he did, but I insisted.

In the summer of 2014 my roof was leaking in both my garage and my family room. I got 3 quotes in all, 2 of the quotes said that the valley needed to be rebuilt above the family room, these 2 quoted me $6000 and $2500. Then Chris from J&K Roofing came by and undercut them both considerably. He said that all that was needed was to replace the vent stack in the garage and replace a few missing tiles above the family room. He quoted me just $850 and said he would guarantee that the leaks would be fixed. I asked him if he was certain that that was all that was necessary because the other contractors had said that much more extensive work was necessary in the family room. Chris responded that those companies are just trying to rip you off and that he can guarantee to fix the leaks for just $850. So I decided to go ahead and accept his proposal. On the day that the contractors arrived to do the work, Chris was not with them and when I clarified to them about the 2 leaks (one in the family room and 1 in the garage), they looked at me funny and responded that they were only told to come and replace the vent stack over the garage. I told them that Chris had guaranteed that both leaks would be fixed. They then said that they would make sure they fixed both leaks. I had to go to work but my father in law was in the house and he told me that he never saw or heard them working on the roof over the family room at all. They may have only worked on the garage. As soon as the first heavy rain came, both rooms were still leaking. So I called Chris back and told him of the problem, he said he was sorry and promised to come back to fix the leaks personally. Months went by and I kept calling him and he kept postponing. But eventually he did come back by himself to fix the leaks, and he worked on the roofs over both rooms, however he could not have been up there for more than 30 minutes. He said he had now fixed the issue by resealing the problem areas. However when the heavy rains came again it was apparent that neither leaks in either the family room or the garage were actually fixed. I could have tried to contact him again to hold him to his guarantee for a third time, but honestly what is the point? He would probably just come back again and spend 30 minutes doing some quick resealing which would do nothing to solve the leaks.

First a real friendly, southern gentleman by the name of Sammy came and gave us a free estimate on the cost to re-roof which I thought was reasonable. I had a wonderful experience dealing with J&K Roofing, their workers were professional and friendly and did a great job with quality and professionalism. They came out on Dec. 22, 2015 to do the work on my roof and finished on Dec. 23. I would highly recommend them. The great thing about it too is that I have a new roof for Christmas!

Less than a week ago Sammy, a fine and friendly gentleman, came over to the house and took a look at the leaky roof. He didn't go on the roof but was able to see from inside of the house the areas where there was water damage. Fortunately he was able to also inspect the top of the roof from my second floor bedroom window, which overlooks the roof in question. The original quote was above my budget but he was open to working with me on a final price. Honestly, I didn't get other quotes because other roofers on Angie's list were either not taking any more work this year or could not come until two weeks later. Sammy said the repairs would be done the following week but they actually came much earlier than that. The guys came on time. The two Haitian gentlemen were friendly and very professional. The work was explained to me before they started and then allowed me to walk up and inspect once the work was complete. The younger gentleman was kind enough to add additional roof tar to another edge of the roof that needed it. Overall, I am very satisfied with the experience.

The provider sent Sammy on Sept. 29 to give me an estimate. I accepted because I had called another provider but he couldn't come until the following week. It seemed strange to me that Sammy did not go up on the roof but rather check the bathroom where the leak was and then looked at the roof from the sidewalk. I was fearful and anxious so I agreed to the repair. Two men showed up on Saturday, October 3. One of them checked the bathroom and then went up into the attic. He confirmed that the leak was coming from a valley near the front of the house. He repaired the leak and thankfully he was able to use the existing roof tiles so the leak is not noticeable from the front of the house. I would have preferred to have someone equipped with a camera to document both the leak and the repair but this company doesn't work like that. I asked one of the workers to take a picture with his phone, which he did, but it barely showed the after and not the before. That's the reason I will not use this provider again. So far, the repair has held.

The team at J&K roofing did a great job. The were able to do the repair the day after they provided the estimate. Their ability to provide fast service was really terrific. Sammy called me throughout the day to update me on the progress and issues that the found on the roof. The team took their shoes off when they came in my house and arrived right on time. They also replaced rotting pieces of wood that they found during the repair. Great job overall!

I called one day and Donnie was out the next to give me the estimate and it was scheduled for the following day and completed the next day. Donnie was the nicest and very professional. Called back after completion and said he checked it out and everything looked great and to call him anytime if I ever needed anything. I would definitely use J &K again for a new or another repair. I have already told my neighbors to call J & K!
