Description of Work: The estimator (owner?) showed up early, took a look at the minor issue, said, Boy you have a mess here, I don't want to have no part of it. Then he left. All I am doing is installing a new air conditioning stand on the flat roof of my house. He said if he did it, it would cost $4k - $5k. I have since received a quote for $900.

We apologize for the lack of communication. Your roof ties in directly to your neighbors roof and makes it something we would not work on unless we were replacing the whole roof. That is why the cost would have been that. We are sorry if you didn't receive the entire explanation.

I found them on Angie's list. They were great. They were prompt. They were professional and clean. They cleaned up after themselves. Everything was fine. The work was done within a day.
Description of Work: I hired J & K Roofing to fix my roof about a month ago. They removed the gutter, and replaced with base sheet as well as asphalt.

We ended up paying more because we had some trouble and then I had problems with the county code. I had to get something regarding the vent on the roof for the water heater. It took longer than I wanted it to take. It was not their fault though. The cleanup was fine. The staff was okay.

I noticed a leak in my son's room and called for an estimate. I left a message and got a call the very next day. I had someone come out to the house and give an estimate that same day. I waited a week to get back to them because I wanted to get other estimates for the job. When I called back it was more difficult to get someone out immediately. I had to wait about a week to finally get someone out to fix the leak however, the worker was pleasant and professional. He also assured me as I was leavng for work that he was guaranteeing his work so I felt much better.
Description of Work: Had a leak in one of the bedrooms and they had to remove the shingles over the roof. Repair backed out deck nails and shingle nails as well as vertical shingle joints with roof cement.

This company is very professional and seems to have done an excellent job. They were on the job for 12 hours. They were on time, pleasant, polite and cleaned up when they were done. I have no problem recommending them to anyone who needs roof repair.
Description of Work: The original roof repair was quoted on Feb. 11. They expected to do the work on Feb. 12. On further inspection, there were more problems than originally quoted. After discussion, we agreed on the additional work and the additional cost. Since it started to rain, it was necessary to postpone the work. On Feb. 16, two men arrived at 7 AM. They didn't start tearing up the roof until 8 AM so they wouldn't disturb the neighbors. They replaced the wood on the flat roof and the wall, replaced the flashings, replaced the cement tiles, replaced a portion of the flat roof. They painted the new tiles, the stucco and the wood.

Description of Work: I had heard of J and K Roofing on the radio last Spring 2008. When I noticed a roof leak shortly thereafter, I called. They were there the next day punctually, called in advance to meet me. Immediately summed up the problem, gave me a written estimate, didn't want upfront money, did the work the following day and they were fantastic! I was thoroughly satisfied. They gave me a one year warranty. One day short of a year later, I had another leak in the same spot I thought. I only had 1 day left on my warranty. They came out that same day. Within minutes, they assessed the problem, it was a whole new leakt, having nothing at all to do with the original repair (which was still water tight). They fixed the new leak, at their expense, and again, its water tight. I can't thank them enough for their professionalism, and for their responsiveness. This is a quality company. I am in a business where I can refer clients to them, and I certainly will.

He was very timely, efficient, showed up the next day. They were clean as well. They repaired it, and a year later I had a leak. I called him to come back. I thought it was the same leak, it was a different leak. It was timely, and fantastic service. I also liked that he didn't want payment up front. I would highly recommend them!

Had a great experience with J&K Roofing, I had heard of them through their commercials, and was very satisfied with their work, very professional, if I would ever need another roof repair job, or re-roof, based on my experience with them, most likely I will use them again. Keep up the good work.
Description of Work: Had a roof leak called J&K Roofing, their representative, "Jim" came out punctually, gave me an explanation of the work that needed to be done, gave me a fair price. After agreeing on the work to be done, he followed up with a phone call the same day to informed me that they will be coming out the next day to do the work, they did, they work was done and completed on a timely manner, they also cleaned up all of the debris.

Called 7 companies for estimates, picked J&K, day after x-mas-ripped the roof off, got inspected, shingles delivered, shingled, got final inspect...DONE! A WEEK I believe soup to nuts. Very happy. Recommend to everyone.
Description of Work: Ripped off the old roof & put on a new one, replaced rotted wood, new metal edge, new dimensional shingles, hot tarred the valleys, cleaned front & back yards of debris, installed 30lb paper over wood deck (the House) nailed it off, got the inspections, shingled it.....DONE!
