Description of Work: I have a rental house located in Florida but I live in another state. Last time I was down in Florida, I noticed (from the ground) that the roof might need repair or replacement. I contacted 3 local area roofers (all from Angie's List) and J&K was one of them. | |I initially contacted them on 1/21/2015 via email saying that, since I was from out of town, I would need a quote with photos of the roof condition. Billy from J&K Roofing called me on Friday evening, 1/23/15, and left a message saying he had been out to the house and had some questions. I returned his call early the next week but he was in his truck and said he didn't have the paperwork with him. He said he would call me back later that day when returning to the office. I did get another call but only to tell me he didn't have the paperwork yet. | |After that, I never did receive another call and he never asked me any questions via phone or email. | |Yesterday, on 2/4/15 (2 weeks after initial contact), I emailed J&K Roofing telling them that I had not received their quote. This morning on 2/5/15, there was a quote in my email inbox with today's date on it. They apologized for the delay and said that they had sent it to me before and were now resending it. That seemed a little suspicious given the date on the quote was today's date. The quote did not contain any pictures or description of the roof condition. | |Billy seemed friendly enough on the phone when I talked to him and the quote for roof replacement seemed fairly competitive. However, it is hard enough dealing with contractors sometimes when you are at the site. I did not get a good feeling about how this project timeline would go when, already, there was such delay in getting the quote and the quote did not have any pictures or comments. And Billy never asked whatever questions he wanted to ask before quoting. I will not be using them.

Description of Work: We employed R&K Roofers to rebuilt the chimney in our house. The project involved substantial work both inside and outside the house. R&J performed the work on time, within budget. They where extremely clean in doing all of the work (both inside and outside) They were very customer focused, explaining the process and keeping us informed of the progress. |I recommend R&K Roofers without reservations. The far exceeded my expectations in performing this job

Description of Work: We thought we had a leak in the roof and called them. They were very responsive, came at the appointed time and told us our roof was actually not leaking and we just had to recaulk the windows. They didn't even charge us for coming. It's nice to see there are still some honest people out in the world.

Description of Work: Were very prompt. Repaired a section of a roof that apparently had 4 separate leaks. Job included a complete new roof section and some parts of he plywood that needed replacing as well.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate to fix problems pointed out on our Mitigation inspection. The person who came to the house was VERY professional and honest. He told me that nothing on my roof needed to be fixed. He did a thorough inspection and informed us that the roof was in fantastic shape and should hold up another 10+ years. No charge for service.

Description of Work: I discovered a leak in my roof over the weekend after a heavy rain. I called two other roofing companies base upon their television adds and I then called J&K roofing after reading the positive reviews on Angie's list. The estimator immediately came out the next day and gave me an estimate on the needed repairs. J&K's estimate was better than the two other companies and they were very professional. They didn't mind me looking over their shoulder and they described everything they were doing to my roof. They actually came out the following day after the repair was finished to address a separate concern on a unrelated part of the roof I discovered while I checking and taking pictures of the finish work. They didn't even charge me for the additional work. I waited till our next heavy rain to inspect the roof before I would submit this review. I am happy to say, that the roof leak has been fixed and they honored the 10% off Angie's List coupon
