They did an ok job. I was a little disappointed because we had set up for them to do the work on a certain day but they said sorry we don't do any work without a permit. Then they said they could do the work without one, but we wanted them to get a permit first. It took about two weeks for them to get a permit. After they did the work they did a really good job.

Very well. Mr. Johnston provided me with a fast/accurate quote. Services were delivered on time and flawlessly. I will recommend this company due to their professionalism.

I was under a lot of pressure from the association of my community. I called the company, explained the problem and the rush. We were caught during a very heavy rain week, but they still managed to put me in their schedule and were able to complete the job before the inspection date I was given.

Excellent, they came at the time they said they would, they did the work very neatly, they were very responsible, their people were polite, and they cleaned up every day, the owner was also very pleasant to work with. I thought they did a very good job.

Arrived on time to give me the estimate. Once I agreed to the price, they ordered the roof tile and set up the installation date. Tiles were installed on time but during installation, they encountered more damaged tiles than originally estimated. They ordered more tiles, installed them, and applied the roof-a-cide again on their own initiative and without any additional cost to me. They kept in constant communication throughout the job and always arrived on time and completed the work on schedule. They are very professional and dedicated to doing a quality job. They came out and installed a new flat roof, they did a great job they were always professional. He gave us updates as he went along. I tell all of my friends about the company.

They came out and gave me an estimate. We decided on this company since they seemed more aware of what the problem was. We were also satisfied with the price. They fixed the problem and matched our tiles and we have not had any problems since.

It went very well. They came to do the work very quickly. They cleaned up well when they were done working on the roof. They did give me a time frame of when the work would be done on the roof and they were able to complete it in that time frame originally given.

Very good company! The service provided by Earl W. Johnston Roofing Inc. was of both quality and professionalism. Although the roofing process is never without some difficulty, Earl W. Johnston Roofing made it much easier. Mike, the guy who gave us the quote was both professional and informative. He arrived when he said he would and gave us a fair estimate. Meg, the secretary, was great and always contacted us for updates and information. The laborers though had to be watched at all times in order to make sure they replaced all of the rotted wood and properly cleaned up the area. They complained several times about not being paid enough. Ultimately, they did all the work expeditiously and up to code. The only complaints, although very minor, are that the workers spilled some oil on the driveway and EWJ wanted an additional $80 bucks after the job to cover some additional lumber. Not a problem though as they were the lowest quote among 5 estimates. Overall, this company still gets an A. This is our third roof in ten years and this company was far superior to the previous two.

We met with the sales representative, Mike Wilde, and received a detailed explanation of his proposal. He patiently explained to us the pros and cons of various methods and materials so that we could make an informed comparison of his proposal against the competing companies. He was very knowledgeable of his field, understood the "My Safe Florida" inspection report and was able to show us how his proposal met the various options listed in that report. He directed us to completed jobs and helped us in the color selection process. The tile company that he recommended was prompt in providing samples. The time schedule he gave us was accurate and the job was begun and completed as described. Mike and other representatives of the company were prompt in returning calls and taking care of any issues that we brought to their attention. The roof has only been completed a few months and there has been only one rain storm of note but there were no more leaks. They are also providing one thing that no other company could which is a service to maintain the roof's appearance without pressure cleaning it and the potential for damage to the roof's integrity that is inherent in that procedure.

They were very prompt. They came out the same day I called them. They were very honest with the assessment and did more than just re-tar the area. Somebody stepped on a nail and made a hole and they not only repaired that area, but they made it a 15x15 area. They were very good and I haven't had a leak or problem with that roof since.

Overall the service was done very fast. The secretaries were very organized. The pre-inspection was awesome. The workers on the job were somewhat forgetful having to come back a couple times to address details overlooked like forgetting to bring adhesive to fix some tiles they broke and replacing of damaged tiles. Still not sure if they fixed the tiles they said they would, but they billed me. One worker also left my water on for about 5 hours one day and I came home to a flooded yard. Also another time I heard yelling from the roof where I had to run outside to help because one of the workers shut the water off on another that was pressure washing and his pump ran dry. Both workers were on the roof and I'm not sure why one of them just didn't get off the roof themselves. They did wave a down payment for Angie List customers.

I was very satisfied with their work and I'd use them again.

I only have one word for this company: INTEGRITY. It's rare and refreshing to find a company that does the right thing, but Earl Johnston Roofing does it in spades! They replaced our leaking flat roof, using a new crew of new subs the first go-round. I had some concerns once the job was finished and Mike, their job supervisor, came immediately to check it out. The second he looked at the roof he said it was an unacceptable job and they would make it right. He meant it! They came out and COMPLETELY REPLACED the roof again to perfection. Their philosophy is to treat every house as if it's their own and they truly mean it. They showed us pictures every step of the way, and Earl himself came by to apologize and make sure everything was going right. They were EXTREMELY neat, cleaning up everything along the way, punctual, courteous, considerate, reasonably priced-- an absolute pleasure to deal with. I cannot say enough good things about this company, DO NOT HESITATE to call them.

After I called, they came out the next day to give me an estimate (also a 10% discount from Angie's List). The work was done promptly and efficiently and was followed up by a phone call to see if I was satisfied.

It was great working with Earl Johnston Roofing. They came when they said to give estimates and to pick up deposits. They called me to follow up when needed. They even called to ask if they could start EARLY on my roof. When does that ever happen??? They cleaned up after themselves better than most companies, and when I called to ask questions, they were always knowledgeable, polite and professional. When it turned out that I had 5 roofs under my surface roof on both flats, they said they would have to charge me a little more because it was more work to rip off all those roofs. They took pictures to prove what they were saying and the scenario was listed in the contract as a possibility, so I didn't doubt them or feel ripped off at all. I will recommend them to everyone I know. It was a pleasure working with them.

The staff at the office are very friendly and professional when you call for an estimate. We agreed on a contract and price, which needed to be signed via fax or email. I appreciated this professional step. Next, we waited for an open date in which they would come and clean the roof. They called us a day in advance of the cleaning. I did not like this part of the process. I would have preferred to schedule a day and time that would have been convenient with our schedule. But, I guess that is part of the process. The workers were great. They performed the job fast and with great results. They even cleaned off a small area of my patio that needed some pressure washing.

HE DID A GREAT JOB AND DIDN'T USE ANYONE THAT DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. VERY PROFESSIONAL.

They came out, did a complete inspection of my roof and gave me an estimate and then performed the work the next day. They were very polite and professional. It appears they did a very good job.

This was a very good experience, tear off/repair/and felt/tar would have been completed in one day if not for the city flag for termite damage. Meg was helpful on the phone, and Mike was the, job supervisor? The guy who made sure everything was going OK for our job. They kept us informed and came when they said they would. They used subs on the tile, we had a concern with the look of the tile installation, Mike had the subs come back out and redo it until it made my mother happy, (not an easy task if you ask me.) I would recommend this company in a heartbeat. Very honest, fair, and able.
