Have used this roofer for over 10 years and have always been happy until having a roof-a-cide treatment and subsequent pressure cleaning of our pool pavers recently. We have before and after pictures of the pavers, they are damaged by the roof-a-cide and/or the pressure cleaning. Unfortunately the company is taking no ownership of the resulting aftermath of the treatment. Sometimes you find out more about a company after something goes wrong.

I had a roof leak in my townhome in Fort Lauderdale. Management called them to service the property and they were prompt to visit to determine the issue. The repair was done in such an efficient manner that they even provided drone photography so we all owners could have a chance to view the current state of the flat roof in general.

You will NEVER be left high and dry wondering why no one can fix your roof issue. Earl never walks away from his customers even when things are complicated like in my homeowner’s association where my house is connected to others but we ALL pay for our own roofs. It is a mess. But Earl took the time to come out and speak to me personally and agreed to help me even though he did not have to. My warranty with his company was up long ago. He has been in this business a long time, knows roofs like the back of his hand, and his company is not fly by night, here now, gone tomorrow. My roof was done in one day, and inspected and passed the next. The people who work for the company are friendly and professional.His office staff are also professional and prompt. So glad we went with Earl W Johnston Roofing. They were a total pleasure to work with. They started the job within 3 weeks of my signing the contract. Their staff were all professional and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with their work. While the quality of the roof is readily apparent and beautiful, the roofing system is also robust with the tile installation rated to over 200 MPH. For me, living in South Florida, that means a lot. They also made every effort to protect my home and grounds, placing tarps around the perimeter of my home and plywood temporarily placed over the AC unit. The property was also swept clean at the of end of each day. We highly recommend them.

The difference in dealing with a good Roofer, and a Great Roofer, is that a Great roofer like EWJ is that Johnston is a total Team of Cert Master Roofers, and that make the new Re-roof work smoth for me. The communication and details are the way EWJ work's with you as a Person ... My roof was bad, but now it is great! EWJ are the go to GAF team here in South Florida. Note - the very heavy rain we had in June 2020, still did not put them off schedule. The guys who came out all showed they work well together, and the 1st rate equipment EWJ has make it great too. This company is amazing! From the first meeting with Mr Barrett to the end the service was outstanding. I was so happy to find such an amazing bussiness to work with. In Miami is very difficult to find a reliable, honest, knowledgeable and professional company but Earl Johnston is all that and more. I recommend them to everyone! They were not the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive either. They explained me in detail what could I expect and the job was done in almost no time. Before hire them I saw roofs around my neighborhood waiting for tiles for months but not in my case, they were so organized that my new roof was complete in no time. The brought a large crew for demolition which left my house looking like nothing happened. Every questions along the way were answer. I'm so happy that I choose to go with Earl Johnston!

Mike and Earl Johnston roofing are always reliable and that is a big thing when it comes to doing roofs in South Florida. They come when they say (if not early!), diagnose the problem quickly, and don’t gouge the customer with their prices. They are a reputable roofing company that will do right by you. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Great - crew is professional, knowledgeable, and on time. Also pressure washed the exterior of the house while they were here. This is the third time we've had the Roof-A-Cide treatment (it has a two-year warranty against algae growth) and always have the same experience. Also have hired these folks 3 or 4 times over the past 10 years for various roof issues, and they've always met all expectations in terms of cost, timeliness, professionalism, quality of work, and follow-through - not always easy to find in South Florida. Would not call anyone else for roof issues based on past experience.

We recently discovered a leak in our roof and we called Earl Johnston to do the repairs. They did an excellent job, from Mike who came out and assessed the situation, to Tony and Regis who were prefessional and took care of everything. Will definitely call on them again if needed.

We have used Earl W. Johnston Roofers 26 years ago and called them back when we needed a new roof. They have always been honest in price and work ethics and all their employees are excellent workers. I would recommend them and use them again myself. They are a great family business and real people pleasers.

They did a good job. The estimator was very personable. We got a contract. The only drawback was that it took a long time 6 or 8 weeks for them to start on the work, but that may have had something to do with getting the permit in Plantation. The receptionist was very nice. I was out of town when they were ready to do the work and they gave us short notice, but they were willing to go ahead with the job and collect payment when I got back. The quality of the work was good, though expensive, and they cleaned up well after the job was done. We have had no leaks since they did the work. We think they did a much better job than the roofers who redid the flat roof nine years ago. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will not have leaks like we have had in the past.

Excellent! The workers were polite and courteous, and now I have the cleanest roof on my block! I would definitely use this company for any roofing needs!

On 6/27/18 I Emailed the owner of the company Earl as well as their manager Meg, despite several attempts to call their office to schedule a maintenance appointment. I have been their customer since September 2010, when I had a new roof installed for a total cost of $27,700. Since then, once or twice a year they come by to do a visual inspection and repair. However, this year they were "avoiding" to schedule me for the requested appointment. After the E-mail was sent, the owner personally called me and stated they have been too busy and he will put me on a list to come over. Two months after, they had not showed up, and now I had noticed a water infiltration into one of the bedroom ceilings. Once again I called 3 days in a row requesting to send someone to fix the problem. Earl (the owner) called me and stated they won't be able to come for another 2 weeks. Something that could have been prevented and should have, if they had come as requested months ago, did not happen. Now that I have water infiltration and damage, they could care less and keep postponing and delaying me. I had to call another company to fix the problem. I am quite disappointed that a company that used to provide a good service, now they do not care about their customers, and after 2 months they failed to show up. Thats negligence and poor service. Stay away from them.
