Crew was courteous and punctual. Scheduling was challenging because of the rain, but customer service over the phone is excellent. Although I think the price paid makes this expensive, so far the roof remains squeaky clean and with no signs of mold. I am awaiting 1 full year to assess how well roof-a-cide worked and if it is worth the extra money

I called because I found them on Angie's list. They were very prompt in scheduling an appointment. They came over as promised and gave us an estimate for the services of fixing our roof. We made an appointment for the work to be done and they were prompt in keeping the appointment. They did the work in one day and we were very satisfied with the work.

,It pays to use professionals. I had a roof leak that a handyman told me he was able to repair. I paid him $800 and I thought he knew what he was doing. I also paid $600, to repair the drywall in the room that had the leak. Within a few weeks, I found out I still had a leak. So that a friend referred their family member who is suppose to be a roofer. I paid this guy 1,500.00, and it looked like he was doing a good job. He came back two more times, because the roof was still leaking. Finally after spending $2100 on the roof and $600 on drywall that got messed up again I joined Angie's List. I got three estimates and decided to go with E.W Johnston. They were not the least expensive, but they seemed to be honest and made sense. The came out removed the time found the source of the leak replaced the flashing, re-stuccoed the wall and gave a guarantee. Since then, there has been heavy rain and everything looks good. Oh the first company I called was Latite Roofing. They installed the roof on this 8 year old house that is in a development. They tried to tell be the leak was from the wall and not the roof. Yes left a nice review for them ( sarcasm). Thank goodness for Angie's List where I was able to fine E. W Johnston. Yes they were neat and cleaned up afterwards.

He went up on the roof and said there was only one corner of concern and that I did not need to get a new roof. He said the trouble was in regards to the gutters and he cleaned out the gutters for me. I asked him what I owed him and he said nothing.

Estimator came to property,inspected roof and discovered a window was causing the leak.Advised me to have window caulked and left. Didn't charge a dime. It was the window! Caulked it and no more leak. Priceless! Honest people, rare to find. Definitely would call again. M Alvarez

My roof had like 40 broken tiles and some needed to be replaced because of a previous painting of the house. I called them and in two days they came and did a very professional estimate which I approved . Two days later they came and did a very clean and efficient job. All the tiles that needed to be glued back are glued and the ones that needed to be replace , are replaced. The treatment for the roof was applied with no damage to the house or the paint. When the time to pay came. I said that I forgot to show my coupon which by the way should be shown at the time of the estimate not after. and after a little wait the girl on the phone said that she will also applied the discount. So. Fast, Efficient, well priced and honorable. Good job!!!!

It was a very pleasant experience. They were very quick, thorough, and cleaned up well

They were very professional and everything was done on time. I had no problem with them whatsoever. I had a little issue with the community because the truck had gone over the grass while they were coming but they took care of the problem. I was out of town at that time but they took care of the problem with my husband; they sent him a cheque to replace the grass, put in new grass and the plant as well. They were very good.

They were very professional. They were nice and clean. They worked very clean. They were not messy like some companies who leave all the stuffs behind. I would recommend them.

A total of 45 minutes and a few gallons of water resulting in no more leak! Bonus was some "how to" training.

The company was very professional. Mike who came to do the estimate was very nice. The crew that was sent out to repair the leaks were very punctual. They called to confirm before arriving on site, and did not leave a mess when they were finished. The only reason I graded them a C is because I still have a leak that I had to call them out twice to fix. The first time they came out, they cut away some tile that was causing water to pool up in the area where the leak was occurring, and applied a patch. I had to call them back because the leak was still occurring, and I discovered a new leak on the second floor. The crew that came out found some rotting wood on the side of the roof which they believe was causing the problem, so I had them replace the wood. They also repaired the second leak I discovered on the second story. I have not had any further problems with the second leak. It's been about 8 months since the repair work was done. There was recently had a hard rain storm in my area, and wouldn't you know, I have the leak in the garage again, in the exact same spot as before. We are about to enter our rain season in Florida, and I can't keep dropping $1500 each time I call them back, so I need someone that can fix this once and for all.

I could not have been happier with the service of this company! Everyone I dealt with from the office staffers to the field workers were professional and kind. They adhered to deadlines, returned phone calls promptly, and were explicit and clear with each step of the process. It was a great experience.

Very well. They responded the same day to my call and came out the next day to give an estimate. Once we called to have the work done, they were there in 3 days. The workers were very polite and professional. The work was completed exact,y within the time frame they outlined. We did think the price was a bit high. However, we would use them again and recommend them as the quality was excellent

It went really well. They are very prompt and they get the work done fast. They tell you exactly what needs to be done and get it done immediately. You can always get ahold of people in the office and their response time is great. The quality of their work is excellent.

The workers who took off the old tile roof were very professional & experienced. Always arrived on time, and worked long days. There were approximately 10 men who worked on that part of the process. They replaced any rotten wood found on the roof, as well as any rotten fascia boards. They repaired some stucco areas on our home walls as well, where they had done work beneath the surface. Different workers came to install the shingles. Again, very hard workers ... they even worked on our roof Saturdays and Sundays. There was one man who was the Main Co-ordinator of the entire roof replacement process from start to finish who made dozens of trips to our home to check on every single thing that was being done, and to make sure it was done perfectly. Also, Mr Earl Johnston came to our home on day one to introduce himself, explain some things, and thank us for our business. He called us when the roof was completed to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction as well. There are not many companies that give such dedicated service and actually care about their customers needs- like the employees of Earl W. Johnston Roofing. I would highly recommend them.

Overall everything went fine. The roofer came a bit late and explained what they were going to do. I looked at the original agreement and everything he mentioned was in the agreement. It took them about 3 to 4 hours to do the job. The roofer was very professional. What I did not understand was his last statement, he said that he was supposed to only take care of the pipes that had a leak but decided to do all of them. I was in a hurry and did not question him about it. Whether the roof was repaired well or not I will not know until it rains. After that I will complete my review of this company.

Al, the company representative who came to inspect the roof and take the information back to the owners to provide an estimate, was fantastic in all respects. I had called a roofer, rather than a painter or straight pressure washer contractor, because I had read on Angie's List that another member had worked with this company for similar services and that (i) this company had stood behind its work (and even honored an expired manufacturer's warranty on a roof sealing product) and (ii) when going back to address the problem, had provided a solution for the Angie's list member that was more than satisfactory and that sounded like a great solution to me. I discussed what I had read with Al, pointing out that I was on a tight budget and did not want to have work done that would not yield the desired results. I was concerned that the other Angie's List member might have had a yard with few trees and was simply trying to have a product applied to his roof that was mildew resistant, etc. My yard has several large oaks which shed acorns and pollen on my roof constantly, I expressed concern that because of that, no product was capable of keeping my roof looking spanking white for a couple of years. Al assured me that he would take up my concerns with the owners and promtply get back to me. A day later, I did receive an e-mail response from Al advising in a very polite fashion that I was justified in my concern and that the roofing company owner did not believe that the product was suitable for my purposes. So, while they will not be doing the work this time, they will certainly be called the next time that I have a roof leak/need to re-roof. Earl Johnston Roofing's customer service skills and integrity were exemplary.

I sent an e-mail requesting a quote and got a phone call to set up the appointment the same afternoon I sent the message. Mike Wilde came to my home at a convenient time for me and was on time. I asked him to give me 2 price options (new roof or coating). He explained in detail how each would be done and the warranty for each. I chose to get the new roof and was given a written quote that he printed out right there in his truck. Copies of licenses and other information were attached to the quote. He said they would be calling me to schedule the work. The work was done within a couple of weeks and the guys who did the work were on time and polite. The best part was that they cleaned up their mess and you couldn't even tell they had been there... I had seen Earl Johnston Roofing's reviews on Angie's List so I KNEW I was going to use them before they even came out. This company is everything that the reviews say! The whole process was like clockwork and I'm so pleased. The City of Tamarac inspector said "Earl Johnston does good work - you won't have to worry about the inspection". Once again Angie's List has steered me in the right direction!
