Al came at the scheduled time & proceeded to review the inside damage before going to the roof to inspect it. His review with me covered best & worse scenarios. The 2 men who came to perform the work arrived on time & immediately proceeded to the roof & started to work. When 1 man was not involved in the work, he volanteered to help me with a project (trimming back a palm tree) I was doing. When they quickly finished the roof, they both worked on my project for about 10 minutes & completed it. It would have taken me several hours to finish it - I didn't have the proper tools, am 81 & weigh about 110 pounds. Believe me, their consideration & assistance was GREATLY appreciated! My roof repair from estimate to completion was done professionally, effienctly, & successfuly - no more leaks! I couldn't be more pleased with their service & would highly recommend them.

I hired Earl W. Johnston Roofing to re-repair a leak that had been poorly repaired by another roofing company a year ago. First their Sales Manager Mike Wilde came out to do an inspection and spec out the job. He was honest with me, pointed out what needed to be addressed and gave me choices. Upon me signing the contract, within a couple of days his roof repair crew came out and completed the job that same day . They were meticulous and with attention to detail from safety to cleaning up, etc. I was present the whole time and was continuously interacting with them. They did not rush through the job and went out of their way to please me. Before leaving they showed me plenty of before repairs, during repairs and after repairs photos, documenting every stage of the job and sharing that with me. While their price was a bit higher than others whom I got quotes from, I chose Earl Johnston Roofing due to their superior customer service from the sales visit part of the job, to their customer service when you call them on the phone, to my experience with the actual repair crew. I would hire them again for any future roofing issues.

They only call you back if you make them think they?re going to get the contract. They submitted a proposal which was signed, however, Florida law states that I have the right to rescind any such agreements before midnight on the 3rd business day afterward. I have called twice today to cancel and left messages both times, both at the main company number and the cell phone of Tommy Robertson, sales rep. I have received no response. They couldn't tell me when they would be able to do the work ? they kept moving the date around. I will not be using them and per their proposal, I have done what I can to cancel as of this day, the third day from the signing of the proposal.

It went very well. The crew came on time and finished the job in a few hours. The manager made it clear to us that he recommended a new roof instead of repairing it. Although the company repaired the roof, it is strongly suggested a new roof and this company would not provide any warranty that the roof will not be leaking in the future. I feel that the manager was honest and sincere. The price of the repair is rather stiff but the workers did a good job. I would recommend this company to others/

I called and scheduled an appointment for Earl W Johnston Roofing to come and provide an estimate for some roof repair work. Jimmy came at the scheduled time and provided a summary of what he saw needed to be done and also provided a written estimate for me to review. The estimate seemed reasonable (on par with others I had gotten), and they also honored the 10% Angie's List discount. I scheduled the service about a week later. I was not able to be home during the repair job, but my husband noted that Jimmy and his assistant arrived on time and worked very efficiently. They were done by mid-afternoon and did a nice job cleaning up their work area (I would never had known they were there). I'm very pleased with the work and would recommend this company without hesitation.

From first contact, I could tell this was going to be a positive experience. Mike Wilde was dispatched the day after my initial phone call to provide an estimate. He was extremely thorough and detailed. He took pictures of all of the areas of concern and provided them with a written estimate. Mike went to great lengths to explain each item in detail. The estimate was a fair price for the amount of work involved. I approved the job and provided a down payment on 11/6. The repair team was scheduled for 11/8 and arrived promptly. The workers were extremely professional and dedicated to doing the best job possible. I was impressed with their commitment to the job and making sure I was satisfied. The job was completed in about 6 hours. The repair team cleaned up all debris and went over the repairs with me by providing finished photos and explanation of actions taken. I guess it sums it up to say that Earl W. Johnston Roofers, Inc. is now MY roofer for any future projects. Their company is dedicated to building great relationships with their customers! I whole-heartedly recommend them!

Part of the plywood sections had to be replaced. New plywood was put down, with insulation and felt paper replaced. Tiles were replaced as needed. flashing was re-caulked and sealed. The roof looks great.

Everything was quoted and done as expected. Was charged a bit more because I had to get both the electrician and the roofer to come at the same time. Did an excellent job and would definitely use them again, not only for their work but for their honesty as well.

It was a difficult leak to find. After what was thought was the initial fix, the roof leaked again after several months. They had to come back 5 times, but they did this without any complains, and they were finally able to fix it. They stood by their work which is something a lot of companies do not do. Their employees were all nice.

Excellent. Provider was responsive and quick to schedule and complete the work. Payment was made over the phone and receipt emailed. All company personnel were very friendly and professional.

The service went well. They were able to come out promptly and provided a quote that was fair. They were able to schedule the appointment to complete the work within a couple of days. They were able the repair in one day. They were prompt and provided great quality.

The quote. Earl and Al walked us through every step they quoted. We got three estimates and gave all three the opportunity to elaborate on the benefit of there services. All had good reputations. They answered hundreds of likely anoying questions with patience. They were not the least expensive of the three quotes. We felt their answers to questions about warranty and guarantee issues were the most straight forward and provided the ability to make apples to apples comparisons in our assessment of the three contractors The work. They were punctual. In general they were very carefull. They set up the site as they had told us they would, with no suprises. They were as careful as I would be. They cleaned up exceptionally well. The tear down and three installations were carried out quickly and effeciently. They were very no nonsense. We had a couple of communications issues with the office however they were addressed. We also had an issue with one of the cleaners blowing debris into the pool. They addressed that immediately with no excuses. I would recomend them without qualification. Having done many renovations and projects, they were a breath of fresh air.

I found them on Angie's List and everything was fine. I did not have any problems.

We had several leaks in the roof and thought we might need major repair or even a new roof. Mike came out to check on it and found that the roof was still in excellent shape and actually only minor repair was needed. He pointed out exactly where water had entry points and advised how to fix it ourselves with little money. Thanks for being so honest!

I got five estimates from contractors on Angie's List. The other bids ranged from $8000 to $2800. The other contractors wanted to replace all or part of the valley flashings. Earl W Johnston Roofing was the last bid I received because they were so busy (with good reason). The estimator they sent out completely explained what was causing my leak and showed me the evidence. He has convinced that there was no need to take up the valleys. We have had a heavy rain (1.5 inches in one hour) since the repair without a leak. He was absolutely correct and saved me nearly $1000. Earl W Johnston Roofing is more interested in doing the job that is needed with the best quality as inexpensively as is reasonable. Earl W Johnston Roofing has earned my highest possible recommendation for a job well done. And I highly recommend them to anyone on Angie's List.

Everything went very smoothly from beginning to end. The roof is beautiful and I was especially impressed at the complete clean up job at the end. I don't think they're the cheapest, but they certainly know what they're doing! They handled the whole job from permits to painting and always answered any questions we had. One thing everyone should know when looking at a new roof - the lumber costs can be high and could add another 10 -15% to the contracted cost.

Estimate was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Surveyed the existing damage and explained what needed to be done and why.. He saved me some money by helping me avoid an unnecessary repair. The crew showed up and accomplished their work while I was at work. The site was left clean, the repair seems sound and they applied paint to repaired fascia at no additional cost. Very satisfied.

I had a roof leak in my garage that I didn't notice that turned my garage ceiling to mold and mildew. I called Earl Johnston Roofing and Mike came to assess the problem. He climbed up onto my roof looked into my roof crawl space and immediately assessed the problem and fixed it on the spot. I asked Mike what I owed him for fixing my leak, he told me nothing it was no big deal. I then asked him to power wash, repair loose tiles, and totally inspect and a**** my roof's condition. I was told that they would send some one in a week, when I told Mike that I needed it done sooner because of my own scheduling problems, he told me that he would do his best. His best was great, someone called me the next day and the day after it was done. I also had Roof-A-Cide used as a Algaecide and fungicide for my roof. The men that came worked very hard all day to complete the job. Did a great job, cleaned everything that had to be cleaned and more. They even cleaned the street two houses down. They were professional, a pleasure to deal with and accommodating. I know that I could have found someone with a power washer to do the job for less money, but I wouldn't have the same level of comfort that the job was done well and done right. The coating was guaranteed for two years.

Overall everything was great. There was a bit of a delay when I asked for an update on my project quote but eventually it came through. There was a delay on permit. I assisted be visiting permit office but felt that was something roofer should have done. On the positive side: Excellent quality of work. No surprises in cost. Earl Johnston applied for FPL rebates on their own and expedited rebate payment when they came through. I will definitely recommend Earl Johnston roofing to friends and family.

We ordered a roof inspection because it was a 3-story townhouse that was not covered in my basic home inspection when I purchased the property. The inspector, Mike, arrived on time, very friendly, and got to work immediately, and soon realized that there was no way that he can get onto the roof (no attic access, no balcony access, very steep roof to climb up, etc). He did his best and still helped us glued some loose tiles on the 2nd floor, WITH NO CHARGE. It was a hot, humid day, and he still climbed up and down and did help us fix some loose tiles. I was ready to pay for his service. He simply said he won't charge me because he did not get to inspect the top roof. He also gave me advice on what type of special equipment I need to have if I need roof work in the future. Very nice guy, will definitely hire him and his company if we ever get a roof problem.

This company is highly rated for a reason. I made an appointment and they came out. They inspected my roof and gave me my options. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Once we signed the agreement, work started a week later due to the arrival of the permit. In one day 8 guys tore the old shingles and wood off and a new base for the roof was put on. At that point we were supposed to wait for the inspector to come within a week, but they came the next day. Work resumed that same day with the placement of new shingles. All together it took about 3 and half days for the entire roof to be done and it looks beautiful. The workers came early, did their job and left. Professional!

I had 2 major areas that were leaking. The estimator, Mike found another, even more serious leak - something the other repair companies I contacted did not find. His estimate was not the lowest, but I had a lot of confidence in the company due to Angie's List, and in Mike himself.The repair crew was punctual, polite and performed the work in one day as promised. I have had no issues since, and we had had many torrential rains since.
