The job went very well. The office manager kept me in the loop every step of the way. Once they start a job they will work diligently until the work is complete. After the permit was obtained the whole job took about two weeks to complete. The roof was torn off and dried-in in 1 day. I was impressed by the quality of the job and the companies willingness keep the customer happy. The county inspector was impressed with the quality of the work as well! Though they did not quote the lowest price, they included many items in their price that other companies would add as an extra cost, such as tile uplift tests, gas vent inspections, and permits.

Professionalism was very evident when we had our first meeting and Mike presented his proposal. He explained to the last detail how the new roof would be built. Besides this, the office staff was very pleasant and helpful with phone calls to set up dates, etc. Whenever I called, the call was returned in a timely manner and my questions fully answered. I am extremely pleased at how smoothly and pleasant the whole process was. Our house looks really lovely! It was a wonderful experience and we couldn't be happier! Great company!

First of , ask for Mike Wild. He is straight up & will work with you. He always responded to our phone calls quickly. We picked out the type of tile & color & they did the rest. The roof work was done in a timely manner, they were neat & picked up & hauled away the debris.Trust me , we got 6 estimates, Earl Johnston Roofing was the entire package !!

Even though it was not included in the estimate they applied rubber paint to the top of the chimney on metal pan that was starting to rust no charge. Their estimate was the lowest of three. Showed up the morning after I accepted the bid and finished the job in one day. Very satisfied.

It didn't "go" anywhere. I felt like the vendor was uninterested in providing an estimate, because the geography of my project was inconvenient. Told them I didn't want to do business with them. Maybe I'll call them back, maybe not...

Earl Johnston is very loyal to his customers. We have used him before and were extremely pleased with his services. He responded to our call promptly and scheduled an appointment within several days. After evaluating the roof leak he gave us a price for repair and a date to perform the repair. He coordinated with the screening company to remove the attachments to the roof so that he could repair the area of the roof with the leak. His team came at the exact time as scheduled, evaluated the leak area, took pictures to show me the problem, made the repairs and replaced the roof tiles. They actually did not crack any tiles. The work was done in a very professional manner. It is a pleasure to deal with a reliable and professional company.

Everything was great, from the estimate to the work being completed. Mike came out to give us an estimate, he was on time & courteous, took him time to explain the repairs needed to us. After we got some other estimates, which were all around the same price as Earl Johnston Roofing, we decided on this company because of their professionalism. We signed our contract on a Thursday 3/6/14, the roofers were at our house the following Wednesday 3/12/14 and repairs completed on Friday 3/14/14. When the roofers came out on Wednesday, they realized that we had more broken tile than what was initially thought so they had to come back out to finish the repairs. Every step of the way, from Jamie in their office to the roofers who did the repairs, everyone kept us informed as to what was going on. The roofers were on time and courteous and Jamie in the office was always pleasant & friendly. I would definitely use them again & recommend them to anyone need roof repairs.

Work was done professionally. Clean up done daily. There was a day that they were a little late, and one day I thought they had disappeared, but I was told they were waiting for the building inspector to show up. In any case the results were outstanding. My neighoors commented on how great it looked and more important to me it is within code so I recouped a little of the cost on my home insurance. This was not the cheapest company I looked at, but they provided a professional estimate and answered my calls. They gave me numerous options on the choice of shingles and didn't seem to mind when I changed my mind at the last minute. Additionally, the company representative explained what choices I had on the type of roof and gave me a schedule that they followed. The company also had good reviews in Angies List. The only thing I wish they would have done was paint the facia, and the wood they replaced around the chimney, but this seems to be a service that none of the contractors provide. That being said, I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Sixteen months later I notice the problem has not gone away. I called the business and a representative came to check it out. He confirmed the leak and said it would cost $500 to repair, as the one year warranty for their work had expired. While from a contractual legal perspective, he was right. It had been indeed 4 months since their warranty expired. But wait, was that morally right? Shouldn't the job have been done right the first time? Shouldn't I have the reasonable expectation that the repair should last more than a year? Barrel tile roofs are reasoned to have a 20 to 25 year life. But roof repairs - 12 months? I offered $200 for the repair. The representative said that he would discuss it with Mr. Johnson and that Mr. Johnson would get back to me. Four weeks have passed. No call from Mr. Johnson. My assessment - Avoid Earl Johnson Roofing.

Earl and his team did an excellent job of re-roofing my home in Fort Lauderdale. I had three estimates, Earl was the highest price but was the most professional and informed on the latest modern materials. They teamed up with the guttertite co, and they also did an excellent job. Meg and the office team are also very friendly.

They showed up on time and did a very thorough job. They even repaired some cracked tiles on my roof.

Mike Was our technician. He was very professional and explained what was going on and what was needed to repair it. He actually did the repair and didn't charge us..We are very thankful that we found a trustworthy company and honest technician who didn't rip us off! Thank you again mike!!

We pretty much maxed out the cost of the roof by ordering the thickest underlayment, additional work around the chimney, and other options. Everybody, without exception, that we dealt with has been friendly, professional, and exceedingly competent. I'd recommend them to anybody.

They were prompt, quick and efficient. they showed me pictures of what they saw and what they did to fix the leak. Overall a very professional experience.

The repair crew came out on the day scheduled and completed in the time frame Earl had stated. They were very through and the repairs came out great.

I called this company after I had very bad experiences with other roofers. They provided me with a quote which seemed fair. The price later changed upwards because they said that they had to replace much more rotted wood than expected. I trust that based on the fact that the roof was left in a very bad shape by poor and non-existent repairs by other dishonest companies. Earl Johnston did the job well, and even returned to complete a very minor detail that was previously overlooked. As of today, we have had no problems with the roof, no leaks and we are happy with the work. I have recommended this company to friends and neighbors because they have done quality work, at a fair price (I wish was a bit lower) and they were responsive and professional.

Mike was wonderful. We had a leak in the ceiling of our family room and our wall. We had other companies come out to repair the leak. We had our ceiling repaired which is knock-down, not an easy task, and also the knock-down on the wall was sagging. We had not repaired the wall yet. The problem was the leak only showed up after a long steady rain and not all the time. Mike found the problem in less than five minutes. The leak was from a screw in the wall. The rain had to be coming from the north. A little caulk, and everything was fine and dry. Mike also found a small leak coming through a little space in our French Door. It too just needed a little sealant and as good as new. Mike charged us nothing. When we replace our roof in a few years, this is the company we will use.

We were discussing color and they pointed out to me if I went with a white roof that was worth a tax credit. They were punctual, they were here and they were back every day until they were finished. They did a good job with cleaning up. There was a tree that was getting in their way and they were trying to be very gentle with it and I said take the saw and take that branch off. I recommended them to a couple of neighbors.

I've been dreading replacing the roof for a while - given the terrible experiences I've heard about - but Earl Johnston Roofing made my experience just wonderful. All of the employees were a pleasure to deal with, beginning with the sales rep - Alex, the office staff - Meg, and the all of the installers - they treated my concerns and questions with respect and professionalism. They showed up when they said they would, called me if plans changed, let me know what was happening next AND cleaned up the work site at the end of every work day - so you could hardly notice that work was ongoing. All inspections passed on the first go, and the Coral Gables inspector even commented on the great attention to detail and workmanship. But the most amazing part was the time it took from start to finish - 15 days! I've watched roof replacements in my neighborhood that lasted MONTHS! It was a really great experience and my house looks amazing with the new, white Entegra tile. I've recommended Earl Johnston Roofing to all my neighbors - even if they don't need a roof yet because these guys are GREAT!

He doesn't do a whole roof he only repairs. He was so kind and professional and extremely informative.

This is the second time in the last year I had to have a leak fixed as my roof is about 20 years old now. Both times I made an appointment and the estimator arrived as promised and on time. They are very professional. I was told I would receive and appointment for the repair, I got a call the same day and the repair was made the following day. On both occassions the repair men also arrived on time, completed the repair and did a good clean up. There were no surprises and all work was performed as promised. They were all very nice and friendly, from the office secretary, the estimator, and the repair men. Very good company, they should branch out to other home repair, I would hire them for anything.

We had a leak in out laundry room. Earl W Johnston came the next day to diagnose the problem. A few days later, two roofers were here to make the repair. We have not had any problems since then. I was impressed with their responsiveness, attention to detail, accurate list of materials needed and their competitive pricing. We will rely on them for future work.
