Excellent. Done in 3 days, literally left place immaculate, no debris in pool which is right next to house. New roof with beautiful Hickory GAF shingles, new vents, etc. All permits/approvals done.

They did an good job. I had issues with the scheduling but what matters is that the job was done right.They completed the job in a day and a few hours, they repaired two major leaks. They replaced fascia boards that were completed rotten. They did such a good job that you cannot tell where the repairs were completed. They cleaned up all of there mess completely before they left for the day. You did not even know they were there. After the job was completed, I had a few questions and concerns. Mario came out to inspect and fix minor items. Very professional and knowledgable.

The repair crew showed up on time,very nice to talk to,went into attic and found leak quickly,explained everything well,worked very hard. Repaired floating nail leak. Also they were only hired to replace 1 dryer roof vent but they noticed the other bathroom exhaust vent was rusted out too and replaced it also for a reasonable amount. Cleaned everything up. I would definitely use them again if needed in the future.

Alvaro showed up the following day and took his time to look over the roof and the attic to assess the damage. Gave me a complete estimate of cost and what the job would entail. The following week Tony and Jose showed up at the time they said and completed the job the same day. Afterwards they explained all their work which coincided with what Alvaro had said before. It has not rained since they completed the job so I hope everything went well. They do guarantee their work and I plan to call them in the future if I ever need additional work done. I had a leak in my roof during some recent heavy rainfall. The roof is 11 years old so I bought the Big Deal roof "tune up" and credit of the deal towards any repair. They showed up the same day I contacted them, and inspected the roof. i was told i had some worn shingles and a previous patch (from after Hurricane Wilma) that was causing the leak. They quoted me a price of $1,080.00. They said they could do it the next day, and being in a tight spot, agreed. They showed up right on time the next morning, and went to work. It was 2 guys, and they finished in 2 hours. They were very pleasant and courteous. But here's where I have an issue. Two guys for two hours for a total of 4 hours of labor. One brick of shingles and some caulk. That's less then $50 worth of materials. $1,080?? I know companies need to make a profit, but I'll let you be the judge of if they took advantage of me with that price. I will need a new roof in another 5 years, i won't be using them.

I called to get an estimate for some cracked roof tiles and other issues. They came out and saw it was a relatively simple fix and repaired it on the spot. And the best part...it was free! The repairman said it was such an easy fix that he didn't want to charge me. They definitely earned a customer for life! I will be calling them for any future roofing needs.

The work completed by Earl W Johnston Roofing was done perfectly and efficiently. It took three days from start to finish and we were very happy with the final product. We did have a bit of a hiccup with the company which was handled in a very professional manner. The original salesman arrived and sat down with us for at least an hour, going over options and styles. After we made our choices, he told us the work would begin in two weeks, but it actually started almost a month later. He also said new mesh covers were included, but upon completion of the work, we were informed that they were not. We were a bit upset because of this, but the owner was extremely professional and went above and beyond what we expected in order to make it right. The salesman was fired because of this incident and the company provided the mesh, despite it not being in the contract and, as an apology, they replaced our gutters, which we had not expected at all. At first, we were upset. However, the owner became involved immediately. He called us regularly to follow up on the job and personally visited us twice to apologize. He said he would do whatever he could to make things right and he definitely did that. He went above and beyond what we would have expected from the company and because of his professionalism and dedication to his clients, we would recommend Earl W Johnston Roofing to anyone who needs a high quality roof with a true guarantee from an honest company.

He is the best in south Florida. I have used him on two houses, my daughters house, my other daughters house, and my sisters house.

Earl Johnston Roofing provided a very fast estimate service and were ready at my convenience to start work. When team arrived (a few days later - per my request) the workers reexamined the leak and determined it was actually caused by something else and re-adjusted their work accordingly. I liked the professionalism and initiative of that. Roofers even put preventative tarring on a couple of areas that were starting to look worn (or whatever). A great job and good people. I'd use them again.

The service was prompt, professional and very courteous. Mike came to the house at our request, he walked us through the procedure. We liked what he said and signed on the dotted line. The crew arrived on the appointed day to remove the old roof, replaced damaged wood, tarred and put new tar paper down. The 2nd day the City inspected the work and the 3rd day they installed the title. Beautiful job, they cleaned as they went and finished the job in record time, 3 days from start to finish has to be a record. Neighbors stopped by to say how nice it looked. A couple even told "horror stories" of the work they had done by other roofers. Thank you EWJ Roofers for a job well done.

The staff is very eager to please their customers beginning with Chelsy who went out of her way to accomodate my last minute request for an estimate. Chris came on time , went up to the roof and came down to tell me what he found. He said the leak I had was not due to the roof but becaus the top cap of my chimney was badly rusted and the metal flue coming down is also rusted....He took pictures to substantiate what he found. He told me this was not a roofing problem but a chimney problem. He suggested I call chimney repair people to fix the problem. I was very surprised at the honesty and helpfulness of Chris. There was no charge. I will sing their praises to others and use them for my roofing needs when the time comes. I had other estimates but no one suggested it was due to the rust corrosion allowing water seepage. Not everyday one finds a business like this. Excellent.

They came the same day I called to give an estimate, were very professional with copies of license, insurance, etc. They did the installation the following day while I was at work, cleaned up after themselves spotlessly, and left an invoice in my door. Although the price was slightly higher than other estimates, I believe I got my money's worth in terms of hassle-free professionalism and a job well done.

We first hired them to repair a "leak" in our roof. When they came for the repair, they told us that we didn't have anything wrong and it was a problem with the AC. We were very impressed by their honesty. We also used them to replace a flat roof over our patio. They were punctual and did a fabulous job. They cleaned up everything and left our back yard the same as when they arrived. Great service. I would definitely use them again!

I'd several estimates, then called Johnston, whom I have recommended to friends and have used for about fifteen years. But, my rule to "get estimates" . Michael Wilde arrived on time, and inspected the roof. Fifteen minutes later he handed me two rusted roofing nails that he had removed. He said he had patched the holes where the nails hand been, and put in new nails nearby. He explained why the nails had rusted (copper placed over the galvanized nail). He said if the leak was not fixed, call him. He stated the roof was fine, there was no reason to replace it, though I had asked for estimates for both the repair and of replacing the roof. The other estimators had not mentioned that fact! Their repair prices were $800 and $240. I then said I'd get my checkbook, as I should at least pay for a service call. Mike firmly declined any payment, then asked how I had heard of Earl W. Johnston Roofing. I told him the company had replaced the roof on a prior home, and on a rental property. He said "Oh, the office did not tell me that." That shows they make that extra effort, not just for repeat customers, or customers, but even potential customers! I told Mike that I had recommended their company to a neighbor, who did get an estimate. But the neighbor went with another company, as "Johnston's price was a bit high...though they were going to do more work". The other company has been back twice to correct problems, and the neighbor is now having another company replace some exposed wood that should have been replaced during the roof replacement. My rule to always research, and get at least three estimates on major expenditures, now has an exception...Earl W. JOHNSTON ROOFING, LLC. No, I am not related, employed by, or the owner of that company - just a very, very impressed customer.

I should preface this report with the fact that Earl Johnston Roofing put a new roof on our house when we purchased it in 1993. Twenty-two years later, we had our first leak and checked Angie's List for roofers. We were pleased to see that Johnston Roofing was still around after all this time and promptly called them to make the repairs. On April 6, a very personable young man by the name of Matt came out and did a thorough inspection of the roof, both inside and out and laid out a comprehensive scope of work to address the leak for a very reasonable price considering the work involved. On April 9th, an equally personable work team, headed up by Jose, showed up and after re-inspecting and water-testing the suspected area of the roof involved, went to work, going above and beyond repairing the area in question, taking pictures of the entire job from beginning to end. The roof was put to the test a week or so later with our first major rain storm of the season and much to our dismay, the roof began leaking again in about the same area. After calling Johnston Roofing to report the problem on a Friday, Jose and Earl Johnston's son Casey showed up promptly on Monday to fix the problem. As is often the case, despite spraying water at the roof to replicate the leak, there appeared to be no water intrusion at all. While anyone else would have probably dismissed our complaint and left, Jose and Casey kept on trying and were eventually successful in figuring out where the water was in fact still coming in - not through the area they had fixed, but through a rain gutter attachment screw that was angled up into edge of the roof line. Although this leak repair was not part of the original repair warranty, Jose and Casey performed the work at no additional cost. Great workmanship from professional and caring people - a rarity by today's standards. Thank you.

From beginning to end Earl W Johnston Roofing was the clear choice for this job. Their estimates (they provided us with 3) were the most thorough and detailed. They were not the cheapest but we felt they were they would be best for the job and we were right. As first time home woners buying a 30 yr old home, we were nervous about some of the repairs and need. Earl W. Johnston Roofing even asisted us in selecting a roof color. We felt they went above and beyond to complete the job and assist with our many questions. We are extremely happy we selected them and not only recommend them but will use them in the future should there ever be a need.

And I finally got to sit down and write my review. I just want to say how please I am with the new roof, how beautiful turned out and it completely transform the look of the house. I am ecstatic turning the corner every time I come home and see the new, clean and modern look of the house. I had been putting off reroofing my home as I was concerned with price, hassle, and most crucial: QUALITY!! Yes!! Unfortunately is not an easy task to find good customer service and quality work in South Florida. But once I learned about Earl W. Johnston roofing, I ended up having nothing to worry about; it was exceptional to work with in every detail. Starting with Mike (sales manager), coming to the house to estimate the job. He was on time and very professional. He provided me with all your company's in formation, insurances, and selection of options. Now, being the first time on a big home project like this one, I had few questions and called few times for clarifications, Mike and the exceptional ladies at the customer service was patient, professional with my questions and really seem passionate about roofing. They kept me informed every step of the process with updates via phone, emails, or text messages. All of the workers were friendly, efficient, skillful and hardworking. They were very responsive when I called for service and came out the very next day. Matt reviewed the job with me thoroughly and left an estimate. They were in the middle between two companies on price, each one with a different approach. When I called them to award the job, they scheduled the work for the following day. The job consisted of a leaking flat roof garage, and water damage to a wooden eve on the main house. They showed up on time the day of the job and worked about 8 hours. They just left and it looks like they did a good job, time will tell of course. The guys that worked on our roofs were very pleasant, especially Jose. I would use them again.

Two men came and arrived on time. They inspected the entire roof. They cleared away the leaves and debris that caused the leak. They caulked the roof where the leak was and two other places where it needed caulking. They were done in less than 45 minutes. To my amazement, there was NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE1 You guys are fantastic! I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am. I would never let anyone else near my roof. Thank you all so very much......

It was terrific! The gentlemen were professional, they never stopped. They took pictures of the repair to verify that the repair was completely done. They took the time to answer my questions as well. They worked with me when I was initially trying to get the work scheduled. Their appearance was also great as well. I am happy about my decision in choosing them. They also looked for additional repairs and confirmed that the roof looks good. They made me comfortable I did not feel scammed.

RECOMMENDATION Wow! What an experience. We contacted Earl W. Johnston Roofing, Inc., because they were listed in Angie's List for our second estimate for roof replacement. Right from the beginning we were impressed. The Sales Representative, Al Hernandez, arrived promptly at the agreed time. He did his job of taking measurement, etc., and gave us a thoroughly prepared booklet showing the complete stages of roof replacement. While we reviewed the booklet, Al prepared a type written three page estimate of the work involved along with the total cost. He also gave us a brochure showing the tiles that could be selected for installation. This was an extremely complete and thorough presentation with no stone unturned. Even though we were extremely impressed with the presentation, we had previously agreed to obtain at least three complete estimates before making a final decision. So, we made arrangements for another company to come. The third company we called handled their review, assessment, and estimate just like the first one we had contacted. There was minimal conversation with the representative and both companies sent an e-mail the following day with their cost estimate. Even though the two estimates were above and below that of Earl W. Johnston, there were also certain clauses and conditions in their estimates that were not to our liking. (How can a company not be responsible for damages caused by their trucks?) So, we called Al Hernandez and he returned to complete the contract to have our roof replaced. Activity began on a Wednesday of week 1 with the removal of all the tiles. Additional work also took place such as replacement of damaged fascia, soffit, etc. All of this was completes in one day and the premises were immaculate when the workers left. On Wednesday of week 2 the new tiles were delivered and stacked on the roof. Friday the actual installation of the tiles began with the job being completed the following Monday. It should be noted that Al Hernandez, Sales Representative, visited the site several times to be sure everything was progressing as planned. Needless to say, we are extremely please with our contract with Earl W. Johnston Roofing, Inc., and would not hesitate to recommend this company at any time. Hats off to a great company!

Just bought a house; the dryer ventilation was completely clogged by previous owner, and it had been venting into attic. A/C repairmen cleaned and advised replacing the short original J-vent on the roof, which did no give enough leeway for ventilation and lint to escape. I had 3 different roofing companies give me quotes; one company came out late and gave me a large quote and sort of dismissed the whole concept; one company gave me an excessively large quote over the phone. E. W. Johnston roofing scheduled, came out EARLIER than the time (which was fine!) and their technician explained that it wouldn't be worth replacing until the time that I would replace the entire roof. He reviewed it and stated that what I had would be sufficient going forward and explained that if I kept it cleaned with the a/c company, I'd be fine. They didn't accept the job, explaining that it wasn't necessary at this time, but they fully explained why and were very straightforward and confident in their explanation. That's something I really appreciate, and I'm keeping their contact info in my business card portfolio, so when I do eventually replace the roof, they are the ones I'll call.

The inspection and estimate was absolutely professional, thorough and presented in a clearly understood document. The bid for the job was very fair and listed precisely what I wanted done. The actual work seemed a little sloppy for my taste, but the guys doing the work took direction well and patiently explained what they could do within the limits of what was possible since my exact color tile was not available.
