I contracted them back in June 2012 to run piping, but we were waiting on permits and for kitchen to be demo'd. They came back and ran stive piping when the walls were open in kitchen and then waited a few months and finished job on November 1 when Teco came and finally placed my gas meter on the property. They always showed up on time, were very professioanal and went out of their way to clean up aftger themselves and they explained everything they were doing, as they were doing it so I would know, as I am a new homeowner.

It was good. I didn't have any complaints. Their rates were pretty competitive.

Everything was very good - from the estimate and quotation to full installation. I cannot think of anything to complain about!

I was very happy with E H Witson Plumbing. They were Johnny on the spot and did the job really well. When I called the county and the state, they had good references for E H Witson Plumbing.

We checked with several Angie's list providers and chose E. H. Whitson based on Angies list and recomendations from several condo owners in our complex. Whitson gave one of the highest quotes of all but, with the exception of the salesman, was the most professional and offered the most service of all. The technicians were prompt on arrival, were very polite and personable, and explained what they were doing and why they were doing it as they went about their work. The two installers spent the full day installing the units in the attic and outdoors on the catwalk. They took great care to do the job correctly and called my attention to changes in the attic support structure they needed to make. The lead installer came back the next day to finish the painting of the inside wall and the unit outdoors to meet the condo association requirements. Before he left, the lead installer gave complete instructions on how to use and care for the units installed. We are very satisfied that we have received our money's worth and that the units installed will preform as promised for many years to come.

I've had EH Whitson technicians out to repair our A/C unit twice. In both cases, the service was terrific. The first time, our AC compressor "died" and I called around mid-day. The technician arrived an hour later and fixed the problem in 15 minutes. He didn't try to sell me additional services, a new compressor or a whole new AC unit (as has been my experience with other companies); he just fixed the immediate problem, took time to ensure the system was working properly and left. The charge was a typical labor hour and the cost of the parts. Unfortunately, two weeks later, the compress again "died." This time the trouble started after hours and I simply left a voice mail (opting not to call my situation "an emergency"). The following morning, 30 minutes before the start of their business hours, a representative called and asked me to describe the problem. He promised to get someone to us first thing and, true to his word, a technician arrived at my home by 8:45 a.m. As with the previous service call, the problem was solved in under 30 minutes, though the second technician took the time to test other components on the unit, explained why and pointed out areas of concern in the future. As with the first technician, there was no sales pitch. Further, the company didn't charge a labor fee for the second visit (considering it "warranty" from the first visit) and only charged me for the part he actually replaced. I would highly recommend EH Whitson; they've earned my future business!

The water heater had started to leak, not much but enough for me to know it was not going to get better. I called about 5:00 pm but I told them it could wait until morning. Next morning the technician arrived right on time and quickly concluded I needed a new water heater (I agreed because the water heater looked very old. It was time to go). Later that day he came back with a new water heater. He removed the old one and installed the new one in about 90 minutes. He took away the old one and cleaned up. My opinion is that it went perfect. I should add that the office people I spoke with on the phone were very nice to work with. I need to also mention that the water heater is natural gas. The gas provider is TECO Peoples Gas. TECO offered a deal that allowed me to get the heater without paying anything at the time. I will have $10 added to my bill each month for 5 years. (That includes the heater, the installation, removing the old one, and financing). Frankly, it feels as if I got it for free.

The worker's card said he was the company president. That did not stop him from disconnecting the gas control valve before turning off the gas at the meter. He had asked before getting to work if the gas was off, and I said NO! Water heater is right next to intake vents for air conditioner, so it was a very stinky several weeks each time the air conditioner kicked on (in July in South Florida).

TECO natural gas recommended this company as a contractor. The company was prompt in inspecting the site and planning the installation process. At the last moment the company said an error had occurred on their contract submitted to us. After some discussion the company agreed to abide by the terms of the contract. The work performed in a single day was excellent, however those workers left a trench open for a specific person to come and close up. That person did not arrive for 4 days and after several phone calls to the company. The trench was finally closed on a Friday night without notice.

I have used EH Whitson not only for replacing my water heater to a Tankless but for all other plumbing and gas issues related to my home. They are honest, dependable and professional. I would not use anyone else for my home repair needs that they cover. All of their employees make you feel as though your emergency is the only emergency. Fantastic Customer service which is hard to come by in Miami these days.

I live on the third floor of a condo. Occassionally the air duct unit gets clogged. Whitson made me the last call of the day. This way, I could go to my office and not take too much time. They called when they were on the way. Fixed the problem. The problem resumed a day or too later. They returned at no additional charge.

They are an excellent company and provide excellent service. They are extemely prompt, professional, and courteous. They are clean and neat, too. I certinaly will continue to use them.

They were not able to fix the leak because it was the dishwasher, but I was glad that they were able to determine the problem. Their price was better than other plumbers that I have used in the past. They were on time and I think that their service people were very good.

Install of AC unit went OK. It took a lot of people to install it. Finished work was pretty ugly on the outside with large home-made sheet metal duck work covering piping and wiring. Mitsubishi mini split AC itself is very nice. It is quiet both inside and outside. Each indoor unit is controlled individually and works from a common outdoor unit. After about one year, one of the indoor units would start up and then stop after about 5 minutes and its control light would blink. I called EH Whitson and asked for someone to come and fix it. I told them it was a mini-split implying that they should send someone that was familiar with this type of AC unit. They sent someone over who was young and took a look at it and send it was beyond him. The next day they sent someone older who fiddled with it for a while and then said it was beyond him. Finally they sent the guy who was in charge when they installed it. He looked at it for quite some time, measuring and interchanging wiring to isolate the problem. He declared that the valve was not working that controlled coolant to the indoor unit. He charged me for his service. None of the previous service techs charged for their service. Later, EH Whitson called back and said that they would have to order the valve, it would take three weeks to get it and it would cost $500 for the repair. Meanwhile I looked up the repair manuals on the internet. From my examination of them, I found that no one had followed the procedures for troubleshooting the unit. The error code was blinking at everyone, but no-one knew enough to read it. It was the code for serial communication error between indoor and outdoor unit. I called Whitson back and suggested that they send someone back and follow the trouble shooting procedures published. John Whitson declared that his technician had found the problem. If I wanted someone to come out again I could have that. When I suggested that should refund my money for the previous visit, he got agitated. Without raising his voice he basically told me to find someone else to fix my AC and he would not refund my money. To his credit he did send me the phone number of the Mitsubishi technical support and my installation records. I called Mitsubishi and it seemed like the secretary there knew more about my problem than the technicians at Whitson. She recommended to me a "four diamond" dealer nearby (B & B air conditioning) to do my repair. I also talked to a Mitsubishi technician and he said that what Whitson had done would not have found the problem. I called the recommended dealer and made an appointment. Later that afternoon we had a power failure for a minute or so in the neighborhood. When the power came back on, the AC was working again! The tech from B & B came to check over the now working unit. He was very knowledgeable and it was very familiar with the unit. Apparently, the system had needed a reset, like rebooting your PC. Whitson had not done that in the recommended way. I also found out that if I had had the AC installed by a "four diamond" dealer I would have had a five year warranty instead of a one year warranty.

Very well, except Coil wash needed to be done on another day with another appointment. Also, the unit, purchased from this contractor, needs to be "centered" in the closet on next vist.

Had several estimates and this company gave me the most thorough estimate related to ac unit to electrical to setup. No other company had given me such a detail inspection.

This company uses deceptive business practices. I was estimated and invoiced for a 3 ton A/C compressor & air handler and they secretly installed a 2.5 ton air handler and tried to conceal this fact until I realized it.

MY AIR CONDITIONER WORKS NOW. THEY FINALLY FIXED IT AFTER RETURNING SEVERAL TIMES TO GET IT RIGHT. I THINK THEY OVER CHARGED ME AND I AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK.
