Project went very well! Supervisor came out within 2 days to assess the job and recommended another intake return in the farthest bedroom to regulate full house temperatures. Crew of Jon and Tyler came out on time and did an excellent job. They were professional, nice and knowledgeable. In the middle of the project, we realized we needed to have the A/C unit serviced and that was scheduled immediately so Jon and Tyler could finish the job. Would recommend and will use again.

It went so, so. I used the big deal the next day. I used it right a way. I had to pay extra because, I had a leak. According to them, the leak came from the drip pan being cracked. I had to have that repaired and it ended up costing me an additional $300. I really annoyed at the results. The guy came out, ordered the parts, that took two days. Then he came back. He did a thorough job of whatever he had to do. I shouldn't have had to have that done. The pricing was good. They did come right away and get the parts right away. They called before they came out, that was good. I wouldn't recommend them.

My A/C system, a 3 ton water source heat pump, would not turn on to cool, and kept tripping the circuit breakers. Capital Air has great reviews on Angie's List, so enlisted their services for a diagnostic. The tech, Patrick, was very professional. He went through and eliminated the simplest causes of the problem first, such as a bad capacitor. However, he determined that the compressor was at fault. This matched the diagnosis of a diagnostic I paid for from a separate company. Was impressed with how quickly the tech was able to piece together the issue. Since replacing a compressor in this type of unit costs over $1,500, I asked them for a quote on a new A/C system. They offered me a new Florida Heat Pump (FHP) 13 SEER 3 ton water source heat pump for $3500+permit, or a 2.5 ton unit for $3400+permit. Though these prices were good, I went with another provider who offered a more efficient 2.5 ton 15 SEER unit for $3550 including cost of permit.

I started explaining that I needed a mini split installation with two inside terminals in a condo unit. He very rudely said, I am not interested and was about to hung up. I was very surprised at his attitude and asked him why he was doing that. He said: I am not interested in an ugly job. I was shocked again by such an attitude and told him I would write a review about this after which he hunted up.

Excellent service, technician very knowledgeable explained to me how to keep my unit in top shape and how to do maintence on it to save on electricity bill.

Dave was wonderful. After completing the checkup, he spoke with me about what I could do to keep this older air conditioner going. He told me NOT to use Clorox to clean the drain. Vinegar was better; algaecide was best. He is now my go to A/C person.

I received professional and prompt service from the start. Called late afternoon on Monday, Scheduled w/Connie for the next day. Connie was courteous and professional. Appt was made with a 3 hr time block, so Connie mentioned they would call 30 min prior to arrival. On day of service, the Tech did come during the scheduled time block and I did receive a call 30 min prior to arrival. Their Tech, Jeff H was very professional and quickly diagnosed the problem. I'm the type that asked many questions and he is probably one of most knowledgeable techs I've had work at my house. He made all necessary repairs, checked all other functions, and thoroughly explained repair/service. Would highly recommend.

I bought the $69.00 deal on Angie's List for the technician to come by to take a look at my a/c unit. It was not blowing to the desire temperature. This was last Friday the 10th. I called in the morning and the technician came out the same afternoon. The technician "Scott" was very articulate and gave me and my wife an a/c lesson. Told us what our unit can and can not do. It's a 15yr unit and it was on it's last leg. After tweeking the system, it became cooler and blowing fine. On Sun the 12th, the system shut down completely. It was not blowing at all. I called the owner Pete on Monday morning and asked him if he can give me an estimate on a new unit. He said he got all the paperwork from Scott and it was not necessary for him to come out to take a look. He quoted me the price via phone and sent me a written estimate via email. At the same time, I also called 2 other companies to come out to take a look and give me an estimate. After comparing the 3 estimates, we decided to go with Pete. I called Pete and he said he will have the installers come out at 9am the next day. At 9am this morning, the installers showed up. They were efficient, knowledgeable and answered my questions. After the installation, the installer gave me a run down of what he did and what is needed to maintain the unit. This unit should last me for another 10 years. Glad to know that Capital Air Conditioning has professionals from service to sales to installation. Truly a one stop shop for ac.

very easy and competently done

It was fine. I got the service from Angie's List and when they came out, I have a room air conditioner I needed service and they said we only service central air conditioners but they did service the room air conditioner. Besides that, they were fine. They were nice enough and they came out on time. Even though they don't service that, they serviced it anyway.

I bought a $49 big deal for a central air conditioner inspection and tune up. It was fine. Each of the companies I called told me I needed a new air conditioning unit. They put Freon in and I have not had a problem since. It was $49, but then I had to pay for the Freon. The technician who came out was fine. They showed up on time, answered my questions and were fine. I don't think what he was telling me was necessarily wrong, I just don't think they can predict when an air conditioning unit is going to go out. So they tell me it needs to be replaced.

Oh my gosh...what didn't he do!! My technician's name was Jeff and he did such a professional job that I had to call the company when he left to tell them that I never expected this level of professionalism. He walked me through each step of what he did and, in fact, wanted me to stay with him so that I knew what he was doing and why he did it. Then he gave me the steps I needed to take to take care of my AC unit, both inside and outside. He gave me information that I have passed on to family members and friends in order to more properly care for our units. If this kind of service is what this company provides to every customer, I have found THE company for good!! I love this company and recommend it to anyone.

Our 2T Rheem HVAC unit is 35 years old and has a slow freon leak. Although the A/C system keeps running like the Ever Ready Rabbit, the unit on the roof is almost completely rusted out and the unit's end is undoubtedly coming. Yesterday we shut off the A/C when the room temperature reached 79 and the setting was at 74. Checked Angie's list and called Capital and got an immediate service call appointment. The service man, Jeff H, arrived promptly and was professional. We feel grateful for Jeff's experience and honesty which reflects on the team at Capital Air Conditioning. Jeff added freon, and the A/C is cooling again. Jeff said their goal is to repair and maintain systems to the extent possible and financially practical before replacing them, and that's what we believe they do fairly without over charging or any pressured up-selling. Jeff also provided much helpful information. Already aware our system is due to be replaced with an energy efficient unit, we asked for and received a very fair quote for a future Carrier brand replacement. We received other quotes last year but I expect we will proceed and contract with Capital after the first of the year based on their product, price, and the confidence we have in Capital A/C. We purchased the $69 service call coupon and paid $76 more for the freon. The coupon was honored as advertised.

Repairman was punctual and explained the problem with the AC unit. Unit drainline was cleaned and AC functioning well. Fair price and good work. Have used this company before and have recommended to one of our neighbors.

They arrived on time, our service tech Jeff was very knowledgable and honest. They diagnosed our system and had great advice. I highly recommend this company.

The a/c was not blowing out cold air. It was working but just not cold. I called them out to diagnose the problem and they were amazing! They did not try to up-sell anything, just fixed what needed to be fixed. Would use them again in the future.

great company, they cleaned the AC unit and noticed the air flow was off balance, they corrected it at no extra charge, very happy, will be using them again!

The technician (Jeff something or other) came. He was about an hour late. I called the office when nobody showed in the window we had for the appointment and they apologized, said he'd be there within the hour because he was delayed at another call. He showed up less than an hour later. He discovered my problem (dead batteries in the thermostat) almost immediately. So with egg on my face I let him check the coils and drains (coils needed cleaning; he cleaned them) and do a quick check on a second unit that we have (all ok). He was super polite, didn't try to play me for the fool I was, and the call was worth every dime. And the main unit is blowing colder because he cleaned the coils. All in all, I'd call them again in a heartbeat. I hope I don't need to, but they were professional and honest. I can't ask for more.
