Capital Air Conditioning

They broke the capacitor and charged me to replace it. The additional costs were for the capacitor he broke. They could have not broken the capacitor.

Service was scheduled as quickly as needed, the person was on time, and got my AC up and running.

I noticed the previous insulation splitting and peeling off, but I waited until it was cool enough to turn off the air-conditioner before calling for help. I sent a photo to their office, got an immediate response with price and called to schedule the appointment. As promised, I got a call before the technician arrived, and he got to work, using material that seems much more sturdy than what it was replacing. I mentioned the rattle, he promised an easy fix, which was delivered so I don't have to hold my ears or grit my teeth when I'm outside while it's running.

The technician was on time, courteous, knowledgeable (knew his stuff) and told us what we needed to do to keep unit working better. We will definitely hire them again. Very professional company.

I contacted Capital Air Conditioning regarding leak. I spoke to Connie and explained problem she advised that if I purchased coupon from Angie's list and the problem could be fixed in a hour they would do so . I purchased the coupon and the day the technician went out I received an email from Capital: "Mr. Johnson, We did the service check up for your property Monday 11/09/15. Have any questions please call our office @954-792-4942. Connie @ Capital Air Conditioning" A few days later my tenant called me and advised that the unit was still leaking and the Technician never fixed the leak. I immediately called Capital to ask what happened. They said that they would send a technician back out to check it again. One day later I received a call from Dan or Dave(not sure which name) who was extremely rude and very abrasive, suggesting that coils needed cleaning for $380. When I asked why didn't the technician or someone from Capital Air Conditioning contact me and let me know , his response was " it was written on the bottom of your invoice". I responded " what invoice? I never received an invoice" and he said "no you didn't" . I was very confused with his tone and logically it just didn't make sense. I asked "why are you so rude you're acting as if you are angry" . I asked to speak to the owner he said he was the service manager and if I want the work done it would be an additional $380. I had already paid $69 for coupon and absolutely nothing was done. I will never use the company again.

I am extremely pleased with the professionalism of all the staff encountered. The appointment was scheduled promptly and I spoke to the owner who was friendly and assured me that he would stand by the work. The installers were on site early and worked non-stop for the next 6 to 7 hours until the job was complete. I have nothing but positive feedback. The unit comes with a 10 year warranty and 1 year labor. They suggested a few other improvements to the air handler which they provided for better performance and longevity. They answered all questions and were totally and completely competent. I would definitely recommend them and will plan on scheduling annual servicing of both of my units with Capital Air.

A/C not working after I returned from a 3 week holiday. I called a couple of A/C companies and they either were not responsive to messages left on voicemail or did not get back to me after saying they would. Capital A/C was responsive and had a technician out to my place by 12:30PM. Glenn the technician was professional and efficient. After checking the A/C unit he resolved the issue by replacing the thermostat and had me up and running within an hour. I would absolutely use these guys again.

It did not go well. Technician and owner agreed we needed a new central core. We waited a week for the estimate. After 3 weeks of calling asking for the estimate while the unit was out the entire time, we finally got a rushed estimate for a completely new unit. We used another service who not only repaired the existing unit but found the warranty to cover the repair. (See other review) it's worked perfectly ever since.

The technician was professional and efficient. He determined the cause of the malfunction within 20 minutes. They called us before arriving. Good experience

As my previous review stated the first technician was very helpful. However, this new tech came in late, in a hurry and at the end did not find where the leak was. The options that the technician was offering was to pay them around $500 for a "deep inspection" plus the cost of a second charge after this one. Fair to say I had to call someone else to fix it. Btw, the customer service lacks service, the wait on the phone for a 3 minutes conversation was looooong, close to 20 minutes and the icing on the cake: the lady was having a bad day so she vented it out on me. Don't think I can recommend again :(

The technician came on time and had to modify the wiring of the thermostat. My tenant was present, and was satisfied with the repair.

They showed up late. The first appointment was a no show. I had to call them to see what happened. They said they called and miraculous they had the wrong number. eThey showed up the next day did some stuff said that the couldn't do the rerepair because they didn't have the materials, so they would be back on Tuesday. Tuesday never called or showed up. Wed late afternoon I called them. Owner said he would email me a quote never got the email. 4 hours later I get a phone call saying that they are not going to do the work. I don't care that they said no to the work but to leave me hanging for 3 days is not right.

The repairman took my thermostat off of the wall, the fused disconnect at the condenser and the disconnect at the blower unit in the attic. After he made the diagnostic, he told me that there was a bad wire between the blower unit and the condenser. He then said that he couldn't fix it and that I would have to hire an electrician to pull a replacement wire through an existing 10' section of conduit and then call him to come back and hookup the new wire as well as all of the wires that he left dangling. When the repairmen left, every device that had wiring in it was left open, dangling with partial wires disconnected and exposed to the elements. He was hoping that I would have to call him back to reconnect every wire that was left unconnected. Even the wiring and components that tested OK were not put back as the repairman found them. My thermostat in my house was left hanging by wirers in my house. Not only did I have to pay to have the source of the problem fixed, I also had to pay to have everything that was left hanging to be re-installed.

I chose this company as they were highly rated on Angie's List. I could not be happier. They were easy and pleasant to deal with, and did all the legwork with my condo association which requires proof of insurance, workman's comp, etc. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He also took the time to explain and show me what he was doing. I will absolutely use this company again in the future, and will request the same service technician if he is available.

I bought the AC tune-up for $69 as I was making appointment I noticed the AC copper pipe was frozen. I told the them and they sent someone that same day. I have a leak so they put Freon. My AC is still under Warranty so they are coming back to change it.

The guy came over on time as agreed. He did what seemed like a thorough review of my A/C. He fixed a few items at an extra cost. Thank god my A/C has worked well all hot summer long! Definitely will use them again!

The a/c man came as on time. Clearly explained what could be done. Did the work in a professional manner and explained all he did. Very professional and felt comfortable having him in my home. Good job!

This company is terrific. Very easy to deal with and they do great work. They were very responsive to setting up a convenient appointment for me after I purchased their big deal. They arrived on time and the work went seamlessly. This is not the first time we've used them and it won't be the last...Highly recommend!

The original appointment was for 8-13, but the tech was a no show for his 0900 appointment. Around 1:30PM I called to inquire if he was coming. The lady who answered started looking for the month old invoice and estimate for the work to be done, but couldn't find it. She told me to give her time to locate it, and would call me back. By 3:30 PM I hadn't heard anything so called back again. The lady who answered passed me to a man (who I later found out was the owner) who caustically explained that he had a lot of other work, and he couldn't get a guy out to me that day. I had taken off from work, so I wasn't happy; now realizing I had to take another day to meet the tech. Believe me, I was very nice about it... didn't raise my voice or express anger; I just explained, I'd taken the day off, and it was a big inconvenience etc. The owner must have been having a very bad day, because he went off yelling about his workload, and telling me to "get real" about taking the day off claiming for a $185.00 job I should have known it wouldn't be an all day job. I said to him in a very reasonable way "Sir, you need to work on your customer relations". With that he hung up on me. I still had the work done because the tech who had done the estimate was a good guy and was familiar with what needed to get done, but as a result of the owners exceptionally unprofessional and rude manner I wouldn't consider using Capital Air again.
