Serviceman was on time, neat and was very professional. In less than 1 hour everything was perfect again.

It went well. Energy bill went down significantly.

Connie from Capital AC contacted me to set up the appointment date. She called me an hour before the schedule time to confirm the maintenance specialist, Casey, was leaving for the 9 am appointment. Casey arrived ontime and proceeded to inspect the inside AC air handler and furnace units. I had the units serviced 2 yrs ago and the AC has been running perfectly. I just replaced the filter a week ago. I mainly wanted to ensure the drain piping and water pump, and coils were clean, and there were no problems with the internal mechanical components. Casey found two elements that needed replacement. The first one was a heating tower element. Casey showed me no current was going through one of the towers while the other 2 towers had current. The other component was the large capacitor in the condenstation unit outside. Casey showed me how the old capacitor unit was bulging and not working. The only way the condensation unit was working was through a second capacitor and relay switch device a previous service company had installed 3 yrs earlier. Casey told me the furnace should now heat properly with all 3 towers working and the outside condensation unit shouldn't have drawn more current to keep the backup capacitor working (i..e., lower electric bill). Casey also told me how to spray Lysol disinfectant into the air handler system with just the blower "on" and no AC to help fight bacteria growth in the AC unit and the air ducts to prevent the "musty" smell old houses develop over the years. That tidbit was an alternative I hadn't heard in lieu of the more expensive options of antibacterial paint for the ducts and use of ultraviolet light systems. I'm impressed with Capital's service and will use them in the future.

After explaining what service I required (per coupon) when they arrived they didn't have a copy of their license and insurance as required by our condo assoc. Was told that the specific work I required would be several hundred dollars more. Serviceman left to keep his schedule while we were waiting for fax copy of license and insurance. 5 minutes later got a call from the company demanding a credit card number as they wanted to bill me for a half-hour of labor.No services were rendered and I refused to pay for their inability to provide proper documentation Consumers should be aware their advertised service is actually for cosmetic cleaning and you will be paying for their service call only.

Service was as promoted - swift and efficient. Appreciated the fact that we were not up-sold on some other service. Everything was checked and we were advised about how to care for our units to get the maximum life out of them.

They looked at my units, assessed them both and advised that we need to get a new unit on the lower level, due to the age of the home and being the original unit.

I had been having trouble with my A/C unit since 11/2013. It would cool but not shut off. Back in November I contacted an A/C company called All Year Cooling (see my comments on All Year Cooling on Angie's List ) to come out to repair my unit, Their tech told me I needed to replace my whole unit, that it could not be repaired and left me an estimate for $3400.00. I couldnt afford to replace my unit to the tune of $3400 so no replacement or repairs were made, With my A/C still cooling but not shutting off I called Capital A/C to get a second opinion. it had now been almost two months since the other company told me i needed to replace my unit. i was so glad i called Capital. I called mid morning and they advised that they could send someone right out. I asked for a later appointment because I was working so I made the appointment between 4-5 Pm. The advised they would call me 20 -30 minutes before the tech was due to arrive. They called me ahead of time as promised and the tech was right on time!. The tech went upon the roof (2 story townhouse with A/C unit on roof) and came back to say the A/C unit was in fair condition but the coils were very dirty, drain line and some other area was filled with sludge but that he could repair it. Total cost was $274.50 which includes the 10% Angies List Discount. A lot better than the All Year Cooling who could not repair it and only wanted to replace it. The better part is that the Capital air tech took time to explain what needed to be done, why it needed to be done and what would result as having the work done. The tech knew his stuff, I asked the tech if he thought i needed to replace the unit and he responded with a "no" just needs a good cleaning,. I was impressed with the tech, very professional and respectful So Capital A/C fixed and cleaned my drain line, cleaned out condensor coil/evap coil. He also cleaned the area and tightened the bolts and screws that held the unit to the roof. The unit is now working great and shutting off when its suppose to! All and all, Capital A/C provided what I feel was a great job done by a very experienced tech at a fair price. I would highly recommend Capital A/C !

Before Capital A/C we interviewed 3 other companies from Angie's list and one from hear-say. All seemed reputable and competent to do the job. But the prices on their estimates were unrealistically high; some would sub-contract for the duct work. When we interviewed Eric with Capital we felt they were the best, for what they offered and for their reasonable price. And I'm so glad I chose them. These guys are a pleasure to work with. As agreed, they arrived punctually 9:30am 11/25/13 and worked fast and efficiently. There was an issue of excessive humidity in the master bedroom; I spoke with Pete in the main office and he promptly agreed to help installing a return in the master bedroom. These are people that are experienced in their business, know the right solutions, are receptive to the customers problems and don't overcharge them. They don't hide when you call, and talk to you in a kind and sympathetic manner. In a day and a half all the work was done! The unit is cooling beautifully; I never had such excellent cooling in the master bedroom before! These guys know what they're doing. I have no doubts about calling them again to do similar work on the other half of my house. Bravo, Pete, Eric and the rest of the crew, you are the best! Thanks for your wonderful job! We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was fine.

I purchased an A/C Inspect, Cleaning & Tune-up for $49 (Angie's List special). Normally, these are around $75-$99 so we are off to a good start. Tech was right on time. Tech was very pleasant and somewhat informative. The deal was 18 items would be checked but I only got 50% done. I was present the whole time so I'm sure of that percentage. I feel if you're going to take the time to make a list you should at least run thru each item(with the customer) and check them all off. One of the items was "Measure Temp difference between Rtn and Supply" which is a good indicator of the efficiency of the unit(and to check for duct leaks). This was not done(tech never entered the house). Now I know my unit runs well but it would've been nice for the tech to run thru the list with me so I could feel confident my system is running at its peak. He did check the pressures which is good indicator that there are no freon leaks. I'm a big believer in the saying, "Do it right the first time!"

He (Gabrial) checked my air handler and added tablets to prohibit mold issues. Blew out the line and checked the heating element.

When I called I asked what would be done on the day of the appointment; they took the time to answer all my questions. They were prompt and called me to tell me when there technician would arrive. He was on time and very help full on how to do regular maintenance on my air conditioner. Any mess he made he cleaned up an was very professional. I had questions about my air conditioner since it is old and will need to be replaced soon he gave how much a new one will be and what was the correct tonnage for my house. When I am ready to buy a new air conditioner I will be calling them.

Capital Air is a well run company that previously had done a great job installing brand new large scale systems at both my Dad's and Aunt's houses, so it was no surprise that Casey was extremely professional, very informative and a great guy to boot!

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was excellent. The person who came out, Gabriel, was very good and was here within 1-1/2 hours. They charged us extra over the Big Deal price because we needed a part. I was very happy with him and he was very efficient. We are going to use him again when the time comes. We have called other companies in the past and they were not as responsive. I was very happy Gabriel had the part we needed on his truck.

Casey came in, checked my unit and thermostat. I told him that the inside unit seemed to be fine but the outside unit fan was not turning. He went outside and inspected the unit. He let me know that my problem may be the capacitor, he gave me an estimate for the job. Casey replaced the capacitor and recommended other services that may help my unit perform better. He was pleasant and very informative, he measured my filter holder for me, because I can never find an air filter that fit. He recommended the correct type of filter I should purchase because the one I have will be unable to block the dust and dirt for any length of time. He stayed around for a while until the unit started to blow cool air, then re-inspected my outside unit to ensure the motor was running smoothly. I will certainly call this company again, hopefully not too soon. :)

The technician arrived on time as requested and performed a maintenance check and replaced the filter. He showed me where the coils were heavily clogged, so I scheduled that work to be done another day. I have used Capital Air many times in the past. They installed 2 central units in the house we used to own back in 2005 (I think), and installed the central air unit in the house we are currently living in, which we were renting out to tenants at the time of the installation back in 2003. They are a very professional company and are honest and their prices are reasonable. I continue to use them whenever I have an air conditioning problem.
