They are very good. They are on time, and they are very efficient.

Tech was very professional. The AC unit is old and he confirmed what we expected. It needed to be replaced. He provided a quote for a new AC unit that was very competitive. Would use them again.

The contractor came to our home and spent about half an hour looking at the air conditioning. He never went up into the attic to look at duct work or for possible leaks. He said he could not find anything wrong with the air conditioner, but he was going to change the fan just in case that was the problem. He said the fan was under warranty, so the expense would be minimal. He told us that because our house is shaped like an L, we would never get good ventilation in the master bedroom/bath area. ADDITIONALLY, WE WERE TOLD THAT FREON LEVEL WAS FINE. The following day, Capital Air called to tell us the new fan was in. We were given a time when they were to report to install it. One hour after the estimated time, I called Capital Air and was told that it was raining and he would be by as when he could get here. Two hours later, I called again and was told the same thing. The contractor showed up three hours late without a word of apology. When he came into the house, he just looked at me and told me he was from Capital Air. Finally, I asked, do you know why you are here and he said he did not. I explained he was supposed to be replacing a fan in the air conditioner. He asked me which fan and I told him I did not know, I was not the Air Conditioning Tech. The guy spent one half hour at our house and then left. For that labor, with a fan under warranty, we had to pay $295, which is ludicrous. Additionally, the fan did nothing to assist us in our problem and nobody ever called to see how things were going after the fact. I would never ever call Capital Air again. We finally called Kelly Air Conditioning (on Angie's list) and their tech, John, walked through the attic and inspected the duct work and inspected both inside and outside air conditioning units. He said the duct work needed to be replaced. This was done within two days. When the tech said he would be there, he was. If he had to leave, which happened once, he told me where he was going and when he would be back. He got air moving in all the ducts in the house, including the master bedroom/bath which we were told by Capital Air's tech would never happen. Additionally, the Freon was very low. We have since called Kelly Air Conditioning for work on our rental home. I would never recommend Capital Air.

air conditioner condenser leaking--- Jeff from Capital Air came out and did a wonderful job of repairing and solving the problems that I was having. I called ARCO Temp Air since the problem started in May 2014 (they installed compressor, condenser and air ducts in 2010). They came out three times, charging labor charges each time, but was unable to correct the problem. Since the problem continued and ARCO Temp Air was unable to correct this situation that I was having with the air conditioner, I decided to seek out other services and went to Angie's List and found Capital Air Conditioning. Thanks to Angie's List and triple thanks to Capital Air and Jeff who is a true professional.

Capital Air was the sixth AC company I contacted for an estimate, and boy did they ever come through. I wanted a specific Carrier system and they came in with the best price and pretty good service to boot. Additionally, instead of looking for ways to up-sell me like most AC companies would, they looked for the best ways to save me money. As a matter of fact, they came in around $200.00 less than their quote! They were neat and cleaned up after themselves after installation. They even cleaned up the botched job of the previous home owners -- the previous AC installation did not include any ductwork in the intake area, but Capital made sure to install it. They even saved us money by reusing some of our copper piping. One of our neighbors who also got a new AC installed, went with another company and paid approx. $300.00 more than we did for a smaller unit. What's interesting is that they had recommended their AC guys to us, but this company tried to sell us discontinued merchandise ( found this out on the internet after googling the model #'s of the units they quoted us.

The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped ensure that our three year old units were running properly, cleaned out drain lines and even washed interior dirt off of the external unit. He also gave me an assessment of the installer's work, complimenting them on a job well done. It was a very pleasant experience, and since I plan on installing a new air conditioning unit at the home we are purchasing, I plan to Capital Air come back to bid on the job.

When we scheduled the tune up we knew that the unit was having a problem cooling. The technician performed the tune up and put some Freon in and tested for a coolant leak, but couldn't locate a leak. He let us know he suspected there was a slow leak and that the coolant would probably leak out, and recommended a 24-hour leak test be performed. We declined, and a week later the Freon had leaked out. After the 24-hour test was performed the leak was located and we had a new coil installed We learned to have service performed annually to avoid this type of expense again. The technician was professional and pleasant, and gave good advice. Highly recommend

I had my AC installed 3 years ago and I wanted to have it checked. Capital AC came as scheduled and they checked it. It turns out the AC unit was fine and they didn't have to do anything. I liked their honest approach and that they didn't feel compelled to find something wrong.The next day, the AC at my rental property broke down. I called Capital AC again and they responded right away. Again, they only changed what needed fixing ($15 part) and did not overcharge me for anything. I recommend Capital AC.

They responded earlier than scheduled which was great. They called to confirm before showing up. The Technician Explained some things to me about my a/c filter. He found some blockage in my a/c drain pipe and explained to me how to prevent this from happening in the future.

My experience with them went pretty well. The response was prompt. He came out later the same day or early the following day. I actually had someone else do the repair that was needed on it, because they were cheaper. His service was right on though. I have no complaints about what he did. I think he could have offered me an alternative to what he proposed, but he didn't. I don't want to give him a bad grade, because he did a good job. I'd use him again. I'd recommend him to somebody else.

We purchased a new house and knew our air conditioning would need replacing or fixing, but we weren't sure which. I got the information for Capital from Angieslist, from their high rating and gave them a call. First of all I was not expecting them to come same day, so when they offered a 2 hour time window yesterday afternoon we were very happy. We were told we would also have a 30 minute warning someone was on their way. An excellent practice in my opinion, giving everyone fair warning to get where they need to be. I had a phone call when an appointment finished early, and was offered an earlier time, again very pleased. As half expected, our unit was OLD and needed replacing. The old owners were cheap and it was so poorly maintained, it never had a chance. In fact, it looked like a relic. We were given a quote and told to call the office to schedule an appointment to have it installed and discuss what other more efficient options might be available. I called the office and spoke to Pete, the owner of the business. To say I was impressed is an understatement. He did not try to up sell, in fact he told me not to pick the higher seer unit as it would absolutely not make it's money back given the house size and the extra cost, for how long it would last. He explained everything to me, how long it would take, the brand, the potential saving and he even gave me warning over thieves who steal them for the copper and to be careful with replacing it if we weren't going to be around. He could not have been nicer, more helpful or less pushy. This was at 4pm. He told me he would have someone there the next morning at 9am to do the install if we wanted or to discuss and call him back. We didn't want to wait and the price was great so we said yes. The 3 techs showed up at 9am this morning with all their equipment and the new unit. They were so incredibly nice and thoughtful, organizing an emergency permit (as we had an inspector coming) with their office. The guys weren't phased or concerned and said they would work around the inspector and what he wanted. After getting the permit sorted out they started to work. They worked quickly (we didn't get in their way, or keep badgering them) and got the job done at 5pm. They left us absolutely zero mess. They coordinated for me to pay over the phone and my husband to sign the invoice, as we were in different places. The office took payment and gave me my authorization number, and my FPL account number to apply the $600 rebate (which was instant). I couldn't be happier. It took 24 hours from the service tech to check the system for the new unit to be installed. We are 100% satisfied we got a great deal with little mark up and the guys who came couldn't have been nicer. Pete has some great people working for him. Overall it was one of the more pleasant experiences we have had dealing with our new house.

Great service. They had to call and reschedule once for some reason (I don't know what it was), but that was fine. They did the checkup/tuneup and didn't find anything wrong. As we wouldn't have known if something was broken or malfunctioning, it was refreshing to know that we weren't being taken advantage of. Will definitely call them in the future if I have more A/C repair needs.

The service was ordered but I never got the service since they would have had to use a key to get into the A/C and they never requested the key.

Purchased $49 tune up from Angies with this company.It ended up costing me extra $192. They went ahead and put some freon in the ac unit. They failed to inform me they were going to do this work and it was going to cost me additional $192. After they left had to bring someone else in who sealed my a/c unit. I wish they had diagnosed the problem first, inform me before putting the freon in. I thought tune up meant diagnosing if there was any problem.

This was my very first service through Angie's List, which I just joined a few weeks ago. The Capital AC office called in advance to alert me to Scott the technicians arrival, within the scheduled window of time. Scott was courteous, knowledgeable, and informative. He worked efficiently and gave me a clean bill of health on both units, explaining all the details of the service and the condition of my ac units. Even though he had to put a little extra freon in each unit, there was no extra charge. Previous service providers have done the same and charged me an extra $50, when I know they only used about $15 worth of freon. I was so impressed with the service (after trying about 6 other providers outside of Angie's List over the past several years) that I asked to sign up for a service contract with Capital AC. Totally recommend them!

Capital Air installed my AC system, as well as that of a few neighbors, and we are all happy with the great job they did.

Purchased coupon for routine cleaning & maintenance, but AC developed a problem before they arrived. Service guy arrived on time & was very knowledgable & professional. The repair estimate was really expensive. I sought out an estimate from another company & was able to save significant $. In fairness to Capital, their estimate was for factory name brand part & the cheaper company was after market part. I just couldn't afford the $ for the more expensive part. I only got 1/2 the service for the coupon I bought since I didn't have them back to perform the repair job. I got the impression they weren't too happy with me.
