My experience was good with this company.

Capital air was great. They called and came out the very next day after I placed my order. Very professional and fair company. They changed the faulty part at no cost to me as it was still under warranty. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend them. Will continue to use them going forward.

Bad. A waste of money and time.

They fixed my central A/C on a very hot day. They were punctual, on time and very thorough.

Provider called from the car saying that he didn't have ANYWHERE to park. If he didn't find parking soon, he will leave. He said that it was the customer responsibility to provide parking. I went downstairs and found the provider discussing with the Security of my building, since the provided wanted to leave his van at the loading dock, which is only for Move ins/outs. I found plenty of parking in the street (parkmeter) very close to the building, same distance than the building's loading dock. Provided said he couldn't park his work van in outside parking like that because something could happen, that he needed to get authorization from his office. Then provider called and the office approved. After getting the approval, the provider parked the van in one of the available spots and waited for me to pay for the parkmeter. I had to pay and I did. I simply really needed to get my A/C unit checked and cleaned, I had already stayed home just for this appointment. After all of that, provider and I finally come upstairs to my apartment. He said that if the appointment lasted more than 60 minutes, it would cost an extra hour. Important factor to consider here is that he counted the time since the initial appointment time; he didnt take out the time that we spent solving his parking issue. Certainly, he took around 60 minutes in the apartment, plus the 30 minutes parking; I ended up paying the extra time. Now, I'm submitting this review 10 months after the service... and I'm in Angie's list ONLY to find another A/C service provider because my unit is showing the same decrease of performance than 10 months ago; which means that the cleaning the provided did not last even a full year.

I did my homework and got 5 different estimates before engaging in any business with Capital Air. Capital Air was in fact the first company that came out to provide an estimate. The company sent Eric to give the estimate. He was on time and he was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Four additional companies came in (including a Home Depot contractor), and as far as price goes, the price difference ranged from $400 - $600 over Capital's estimate. Installation day - On the installation day, Carlos and his partner showed right at the scheduled time. Carlos explained the process, and got right into work. He even provided an estimated completion time, so that I can plan my day accordingly. Carlos and his partner worked non-stop until the completion of the project, and left everything clean. Capital and the crew met all my expectations, and I certainly recommend this company for any A/C job. Great service, excellent price.

I called Capital Air prior to booking on Angie's list to schedule an appointment because my A/C stopped cooling. When I spoke with Connie and told her that I found her thru Angie's list, she recommended to buy the $49 diagnostic call to save some $$$ and call her back to schedule the appt. On the day of the appt,, we did have some issues coordinating when the technician would come out, but Connie was able to sort it out and get a technician to arrive within a reasonable amount of time. Casey showed up and was very knowledgeable on the A/C I had and was able to diagnose the issue to a valve on the compressor outside causing the system to shut down. Since a valve needed to be ordered, He was able to temporarily fix the issue until the valve came in. Casey came back 2 days later and installed the new valve. A/C has been cool ever since.

Tech showed up on time. Asked what was happening then started to test my A/C. He was the forth tech to look at my unit in 3 weeks and without knowing what the others had done figured out what was wrong in about 30 minutes. Others tried to sell me a new unit before even looking at my AC. Great service!

The technician and owner were very professional and curteous. They did not charge me another service fee for coming out again to finish repairing the leak and I would gladly use them again. The A/C is now cooling like it used to.

The service rep was 30 minutes late but, it was a rainy day. THe rep was pleasant and completed his work in a timely fashion. The attention to detail was impressive. I would definitely use them again.

Arrived on time, professional, prepared, and cleaned up when they were done. Very respectful- answered by questions. I'd had estimates that were thousands apart, but the price I paid was reasonable. They changed out the condenser and air handler. Would recommend. There's a reason they have such good reviews on Angies List= they earn it.

I noticed some back-up of water, and was draining about 2-3 cups of water every couple of hours, starting late afternoon. After the second draining, I called Capital Air, though it was after-hours. I gave my information to the person who answered the phone. Less than 10 minutes later, I had an appointment for between 12 and 2 this afternoon. Scott arrived a little before 1 PM and immediately got to work, cleaning out the sludge with nitrogen and wet-vac, checked the rest of the system and had it up and cooling very quickly and efficiently.

Capital Air did a fantastic job at diagnosing and fixing my cooling problem. The techs are very polite and explained everything as he went. I will continue to use Cap;ital Air for all my HVAC needs.

Jeff was awesome. He explained how to keep the a/c in tiptop shape. Showed how to keep our cooling bills low. He cleaned the drain line, changed the filters, checked the freon, changed the batteries in the thermostat, and found the the inside panel was coming undone, so he fixed it to keep it from destroying the a/c fan. Can't say enough good things about this company. Will use again. Thank you Jeff.

The folks at Capital Air Conditioning offer a great deal for an annual A/C system tune up. My tenants appreciate how easy it is to schedule the service and the professional service rendered by the employees. I appreciate the great price! I highly recommend them.

Great. The repairman identified the problem and wanted to replace the part. He only had a used part in his repair truck, so he used that as a temporary fix. He'll be back out to replace with a new part, but the used one is working fine for now.

Completed promised work. Also, adjusted system to make it operate more efficiently and quieter.

So I had purchased the Angie's Deal with Capital Air for $49. I had purchased the new AC unit about 2 or so years ago. Lately I had noticed that the house felt slightly colder then what was listed on the thermostat. I'm sure there were various reason that could be, but I noticed on the cool cycle (which is set at 75F the temp showed 73F and I could hear the handler still running). So I decided to take advantage of the deal and have someone come out to inspect that unit and thermostat. Very shortly after purchasing the deal I was contacted by Capital Air to set up the appointment. They were very prompt and very courteous. They even had an availability of my first choice, which was convenient (two days after purchasing the deal). Approximately 30 min from the appointment time they contacted me to confirm that I would be home and stated that the technician would be there between 0900 and 0915 depending on traffic. which was the scheduled time. The technician arrived on time and I showed him where the outdoor AC unit was and the handler with thermostat. I proceeded to describe the issue as I mentioned above and even showed a pic I had taken of the display of the thermostat showing the temp of 73F with the cool function set at 75F. He proceed to explain that my humidity being set at 50% could be the issue. That being in South Florida, with high humidity, the handler would keep working to remove the humidity and thus keep cooling the area. Since all this stuff fascinates me, I asked if I could watch to see what is done. He was kind enough to allow me to watch the inspection. He went outside and checked the unit hooking it up to his pressure gauges. The caps that I had on the AC unit I believe weren't the "universal" ones (was the ones installed by the AC company who installed the unit) He easily was able to remove it and stated that he would apply the "pink" universal caps, but then stated, after checking in his truck, that he didn't have any more with him. So my initial caps were reinstalled. He also went to the handler and using compressed air blew out the tubing to ensure the drainage pipe was clear. He also dialed through the handler (which is a communicating handler) to, I assume, confirm that all was in working order. At the time of him checking the handler, I asked how would he check the calibration of the thermostat, he stated that to thermometers would should be used near the thermostat and compare the temps read and the one displayed on the thermostat. But the frustrating part for me was the he never took a thermostat and checked that, which was my initial and need to call for the inspection. He did show me a way to go through my thermostat to make adjustments with the thermostat (offset) once I would check to see if the thermostat and a outside source thermostat. But I felt that that should have been part of the calibration of the thermostat which should have been part of the inspection as stated on the Angie's List deal. Also it stated that one of the things done in the inspection would be to measure the temperature difference for the supply and return air. At no time did I see him use a device to measure any temperature of air. I was with him the whole time so there was no possibility of me missing that step. Over all I felt the office was very prompt and professional and responded in a very timely manner. The technician was very nice and allowed me to observe. He did also discuss options for me and possible solutions. I felt that there were some key parts of the inspection that were missed and which I felt was the main reason I had called. It did ease my mind to know that the unit was functioning well. And that I was shown how I could check the calibration of my thermostat and how to offset the temp if there was a discrepancy, but I felt that should have been part of the inspection and should have been handled by the technician. In regards to if I would use them again, I would like to say maybe, but there was no option for maybe on the choices. But I may lean more to no since I felt that the main issue I had discussed and which was part of the listed inspection points were not completed. I hope this was as factual as possible and as helpful as possible.

I had been referred to Capital Air by a friend but as usual I checked Angies List first. Well the "A" rating was exactly what I received. The woman who took my call was helpful and I was very easily able to schedule an appointment for a day later. I was called to let me know the tech was on his way and he showed exactly when he said he would. I was amazed. I will definitely use Capital Air again if and when I need repair/replacement.
