+ -1 moreThis Angie's Special didn't save me any money since now I will have to get another company to come in and adjust/clean the other heads and rotors that were missed. Update on 11/30/11: This company contacted me after reading my review and wanted to know what they could do to correct the problem. I give them a thumbs up for that. I declined to have them come back out.
Description of Work: Took advantage of the sprinkler "tune-up" with Angie's List. Called the receptionist to set up an appointment. She was very friendly and told me they had a big response to the Angies' List coupon & they were going to try and group all the ones in the same area on the same day. That was fine with me. I was told it would probably be the next day or the following day but that someone would contact me to let me know. Around one day later, approx. mid-afternoon a van pulls up and it's from the sprinkler company. I was surprised since no one had called me but he said he just finished a job and was in the area. I didn't mind at all and he started working. The ad said the cleaning of ALL nozzles and adjusting of ALL heads. The technician told me before he left he cleaned out a couple heads. I was amazed since a lot of them needed cleaning and adjusting. It's been over two years since our last "update." One section (of my five) is on now and I can see where two of the heads are still only performing by half. Not like the others. I haven't watched all the zones as of yet to notice if there's more not working up to par. I also asked the technician to set the water controller (part of the package deal) since I'm not sure how to set it (it's an old one) and even with my glasses I can't see where to put the pins. We discussed what days and for how long. He got most of that right. The next watering day the sprinklers never came on. It would have been great for him to have checked his work before he left. The technician was here about 20 minutes. I have an acre of property. It's hard to believe you can clean and adjust all nozzles and set controller/timer in that amount of time for property that size.

Bob made suggestions, pointed out a couple of deficiencies that needed attention, and modified my system to work correctly.The work was done quickly, cleanly, and the system performs 100% better than before. I highly recommend his work. The price was correct, the work performed professionally.

+ -1 moreThey came out first and just kept it off for no charge and then came back. The whole thing came to $600 with the 10% discount. It was well worth it. They were as impressive as the fence people. Overall, they were outstanding. A guy was here in 15 minutes when I had a problem. The guys who were doing the fence told that the sprinklers were in their way. I called Best of Broward Sprinklers, and I went into the shower. I assumed it was going to take half a day. They were already here and cut the line quickly.
Description of Work: I used the services of Best of Broward Sprinklers Inc 2 months ago. The owner is Bob Sanford. They moved the rear sprinkler line which was in the way of the fencing people. They then came back when the fence was done and put in a water filter so that the yellow doesn’t stain the fence in the house. They also put in a new valve. They installed the 5 sprinkler lines in the back where the fence was.

+ -1 moreI called them on 9/14 to see how soon I could have someone come out to the house. They sent Larry and his crew over that afternoon. Unfortunately, they were unable to fix the valve because they couldnt find the leak due to the homeowner's association turning the main water source on our house. The next day, Larry came back in the morning and fixed the problem. He was very professional and courteous.
Description of Work: They replaced our sprinkler value located inside our valve box. It was previously leaking water.

+ -1 moreThey gave me a quote and stuck to it. The workers were friendly and they all worked their butts off in 95 degree heat.
Description of Work: I not only needed the replacement of multiple sprinkler heads but also the complete reconfiguration of all 4 zones, controller replacement along with the replacement of the filter or what ever it's called that is at the end of the inlet pipe that sits in the lake. The existing system was installed by a previous owner who really had no clue. It was a mess.

I am pretty sure they came out to the house ,and did something, but I have not seen the sprinklers work yet. We have been calling them daily but no response. PLEASE, please, communicate with us! We picked you because of this Angie's List rating!
Description of Work: I am writing this review in a desperate attempt to get Best of Broward to finish the job that they started. I would be delighted to improve my review, if they ever return our calls and fix our sprinklers.

Description of Work: They fine tuned my sprnkler system so that it worked more efficently and provided adequate coverage. Cleaned out system due to rust and installed filter so that heads would not get clogged in future by rust and sediment. Highly professional. WOuld recommend and use in future.

+ -1 morePoorly, This firm has a Angies List rating of A. Must be from family members because I cannot understand why they earned such a rating. Called others for quotes and they showed up as promissed.
Description of Work: Called these guys for an estimate. 3 seperate days I waited for the representative to show up to give an estimate. Don't even have the courtesy of calling to cancel. I would not recommend even considering this company if they gave away the systems.

+ 0 moreThe worst experience I have ever had with anyone on Angies list. I have to believe that the reviews were false and completed by friends of the company in order for the service and professionalism to be this bad.
Description of Work: Had to call 2 times before was able to schedule a visit for an estimation. Then they didn't show up. Called again, they apologized and scheduled another appointment. They showed up late, but were able to give an immediate quote. Person appeared to have a good amount of experience and knew what he was talking about, so decided to go with them although the rate was much higher than others. Called back to schedule the work, and they didn't return our call. Called again, was able to schedule appointment to have the sprinkler system fixed. Again, no show. Scheduled another appointment. Again, no show. Scheduled one more as I just wanted the work done and out of the way at this point. Again, no show. Called to find out when the heck they would be able to come out for sure, and was told "well we thought we would have time this week, but really have no idea when we'll be able to come out." Needless to say, we have completely wasted our time trying to work with this company and will never try again.

The technician was pleasant, efficient, patient in answering my questions. I like this company. I will use it again and will recommend it. + -1 moreThe repairman explained all that was wrong and what he needed to do to make the system run correctly and how long it was going to take. The owner called us and indicated what the cost would be and we agreed with the price. It was painless and the job was done right. The only thing he should have done is give us the 10% discount for being an Angies List member which he did not do.
Description of Work: Installed new check valve and canal screen with floating goose, replaced Krain index valve, removed hose bib from suction line, repaired broken .75" line in front, replaced 5 spray nozzles and checked entire system for coverage which took about 4 hrs.

Description of Work: Two sprinkler heads were broken by carpenters doing some roofing work. Best of Broward was called in the evening, arrived the next morning and did the repairs, and adjusted the other heads, calibrated the timer, etc. Great service. Thorough. They will definitely be regaulars on my list!.

I told them I specifically needed the charges itemized with equipment and labor charges because the city required it for the rebate. One of the office girls emailed the original information to me so when I sent her that email she still sent me back something similar that was not itemized the way I needed. I'll either email her back or have them separate it out in the bill. He's the only one I can find who actually drills the well.

Since that time I have made several changes in my landscape and on occasion I have damaged sprinkler heads. Every time I need an adjustment or repair Best of Broward Sprinklers has been prompt, courtesy, and have performed their job well. There has never been a need for a call-back and they have always done work at a fair price. I would never consider using any other company; I wish all contractors were this professional.

Bob came out to my home the same day and sent me an estimate. I was so confident in his assesment of the problems I gave him the job. It was completed exactly as promised and I would definitely recommend this company. Linda in the office and Larry in the field also went above and beyound.
Description of Work: Replaced mechanical timer with digital timer and electronic valves. Moved, replaced or serviced all sprinkler heads in my six zone system.

I have an attached container for rust inhibitor that mixes with the well water so that my lawn sprinkler does not stain the walls and sidewalk of my home. They came, they saw, they fixed the problem. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!! I will use them always.
Description of Work: What wonderful service! I called early in the morning and a REAL PERSON answered the phone and sent a technician right over. They diagnosed my problem immediately, told me how much and when they could do it. They called that evening to verify that I understood everything and if I haad any questions. I can't say enough for their professionalism and care to detail. This is a fine company and I will be calling them in Oct. to work on my yard lighting before the holidays.

Arrived on time for work and located some additional problems underground (broken line) which raised the cost to $185 which I thought was fair considering the condition of the sprinkler system. All in all a professional job at a reasonable price.
Description of Work: Replaced broken sprinkler heads. Corrected leaky valve. Fixed broken line.

Very happy with this company, their level of professionalism was very high.

+ -1 moreBob gave us an estimate on the work that needed to be done. He made suggestions about the different sprinkler heads and placement of sprinklers. Also, made suggestions about being able to water from different zones around the house. He and his employees were very curtious and neat when digging up the existing sprinklers and putting in the new equipment. We were having a deck and walkways installed and Bob worked with the paver installer (even when it wasn't convenient and the paver guy did not show up when expected) and made sure placement of new sprinklers were correctly placed. Bob is true to his word when it came for us to pay him for the completed work. He gave us the price of his estimate even though the job ran $300.00 more than was estimated. That doesn't happen often. Best of Broward Sprinklers, Inc. integrity is top notch. Call Bob if you are looking for an outstanding sprinkler company. I recommend this company and would not hesitate to call them if I need any other work done.
