Description of Work: i live in a wood frame house and needed repair to front facing around 2 sets of windows and repair/replacement to my fromt porch railings due to wood rot.

Description of Work: Exchange entire light fixture in bathroom ceiling in an awkward area. Installed chain lock and peephole on front door and secured hardware on front and back lanai doors.

Description of Work: Removed large plate glass mirror in Master Bath and repaired defect in drywall. Applied knockdown finish and painted room. Excellent work. Repaired area is invisible. Installed new sinks in vanity and reconnected all plumbing. Pressure washed and painted front porch. Installed gate partition on lanai. This involved drilling in concrete floor.

Fastened to wall (had to drill into cement) Caulked drywall seams in skylights and painted same Painted waterstain in bathroom Removed old and installed new toilet Adjusted leaking toilet flapper in 2nd bathroom. Repaired cracks in shower grout. Arranged for disposal of fans and toilet. Matt charged by the hour and his price was fair.

Description of Work: Over the last couple of years, I have had Matt do several jobs for me with great satisfaction.: The first time was when my wife decided that she wanted the livingroom and dining room freshing up with new paint I have done a lot of painting in the past, but I simply hate doing this job. I contacted Matt, he came over and looked the job over, quoted me a price and understood that this was goiing to be a two tone paint color job. The main color over the lafrge portion of the room and a secondary color 2 tones darker as an accent for the indentures of the door openings. I provided the paint, and he provided everything else. The second job, was one complete window replacement. Our home was built in 2004 of masonary construction, which had the normal single strenght window pane, double hung, in a steel frame. This window that was giving us a problem was in our bedroom, right next to the bed. Needles to say, a lot of exterior noise from the street traffic and neighbors A/C unit woke quite often. Finally we decided to replace the window with one that was thermo paned and would provide more sound proofing or quieting. Matt again came over to the house and explained what had to be done and provided a price that was very reasonable. I ordered the window and when it came in, he made himself avaiable and did the installation one day. This was stucko and had to dry over night and completed the painting the next day. This window has gotten us many a restfull night. The most recent job was a ceramic floor tile job that I had started and need some expertise with. I had removed the previous florring and had already purchase the new ceramic tile. I was prepared to install the tile, as I had done some tiling previouly. However, on this job we wanted to have a border of one inch (three wide) glass tiles around the whole room. As the tiles were of different thickness, I did not want to screw this job up. I called Matt, and he was agreeable to assisting me with this job on an hourly basis. I worked right along side of Matt, and eventually learned a lot more than I thought I knew about tiling. Matt had some great ideas and made suggestions that really made the job turn out very nice.

Description of Work: Matthew, did an exempleary job on procurring the materials and installing 7 & 1/2 inch Crown Molding in our living/dining room area. It is just gorgeous and we are receiving many compliments on the appearance. He is the most precise and conscientous home improvement person we have ever utilized. He attacks the project and works diligently practically non-stop until the project is completed to our satisfaction. His work ethic is above reproach. We are very pleased and would hire him again should another project need develop. He has a wide lattitude of home improvement projects he can accomodate. Another factor, very important to us, is the advance project review and the complete clean-up following completion of the project. His pricing schedules are also very fair particularly for the quality of the job performance. We have also used Matt to paint these same rooms where he installed the Crown Molding and there again he did a superior job. We would highly recommend him for any and all of your home improvement needs.

Description of Work: We bought a new house and wanted deep, impressive crown molding installed throughout the house. We also wanted the interior of the house painted throughout. The house is aproximately 1,900 square feet with 9.5 foot ceilings. There are many corners and unusual angles. Matt showed us some molding samples and suggested the deepest molding. Glad he did, because we wouldn't have thought of the ones that he suggested. Matt ordered the moldings, then painted and installed them in a little over 3 days. I'm sitting here admiring them right now. I've had many things done to the house and in my experience have never seen anyone work so hard and so carefully. Next will be baseboards and Matt will definately be the man to do the work. Some of the paint colors we chose were dark which meant that Matt had to apply more coats. He also had to make sure that the darker paint met the lighter paint with a sharp line at the corners.The painting was done in about a week. Matt went over the job with us to make sure that we were happy. The following week we did find a small spot that we wanted repainted. We called Matt and he did it immediately. This guy is God's gift to homeowners.

Description of Work: completely gutted bathroom, put up wood needed for wall reinforcement; put up wallboard/cement board, sealed shower area. Inastalled a new tub, toilet and sink. Put up travatine 16" sq tile on walls, but also routered edges(rounded-his doing, his detailed oriented, - I never expected this) He worked with two other companies (cabinet co. & granite co) coordinating instillation of their components very well. Window area in shower, he went well beyond expectations in finishing and sealing the window that was already there, again with routered travatine tiles. I did not finish the window off half as well as he did when I first put the window in. He installed a border of glass tile horizontally within the travatine tile. Because of tile difference in thickness, he first put up the travatine tile and then mounted the glass tile on 1/4" cement board and then put up the glass tile resulting in an exact flat finished surface. He finished the job by sealing all of the tile and conecting all bathroom bowl/sink with waterfall faucet, 10 jet shower tower in the tub shower area. Finally, the floor was to be a stone floor which came in mats. He did not like the consistency of the stone sizes and spaces, so he took each stone off the matt, sized them, and put each stone down on the floor by hand one stone at a time! Talk about attention to detail. When pricing his service, he does not talk about his attention to detail which means you can probably find someone less expensive, but there is no way you will find someone who will do a better job at any price! I had him also gutt and redo my master shower area, again the detailed, his ideas (which he told us about during both jobs were spot on) made the final job perfect. The time he put in was unbelievable - quick-no, (stone by stone how could he be) detailed-you can't even imagine! I paid for all materials, his fee was the 6k, you have no idea how well spent that money was. In the past I have remolded my own bathrooms. You know how you say it's yours and you'll do better than an outsider would, well in this case he out did me with his ideas, details and abilities.
