Description of Work: Absolutely fantastic work done. I needed to get flooring put in on a new condo. I walked into the store not really having any idea where to start, and Summer took a lot of time to give me a good education on what I needed to know. I ended up deciding on a beautiful acacia with her help. Michael and the work crew were extremely competent and professional - and quick! Once we had the wood delivered, they had the whole job done in two days, including tearing up the old carpeting, cutting the wood, and installation. Impeccable job all around. I have gotten so many compliments on my beautiful floors since then. I highly recommend S&M to anyone looking for wood flooring, and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Description of Work: Michael Layne came out to view the water damage to my wood floor. I had already sent in pictures of the damage. He looked at it and asked me to send him more pictures. He then told me he would get right back to me after he found out if he could get the right wood. I got the feeling he didn't really want the job. He never emailed or called me back, completely unprofessional in my opinion. It has been 3 months. I would not use or recommend them. Stay away.

Description of Work: My wood living room floor buckled due to poor installation by the previous owner. I called many flooring companies but none wanted the responsibility for repairing it. Rather they all wanted to sell me a new floor. Mike came out, took one look at the floor and said it was fixable. We made an appointment and his team appeared exactly on schedule. Polite, professional ,reliable. And he only charged me $250 compared to the$3000 the other companies wanted to replace the entire floor. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Description of Work: They installed engineered hardwood that I bought at Sam's. They did a very good job, but they worked on Saturday and didn't push very hard to get finished on time. Ended up taking longer than their estimated time and worked into the late evening. A very professional job, they certainly know what they are doing. Other than the schedule issue they were very good, easy to work with, have all the latest tools and equipment. I would certainly use them again.

Description of Work: Installed laminate flooring on entire first floor of our house. This included leveling approximately 150 square ft. The leveling was more extensive then we expected. Dust from the grinding covered everything in our house. A better method of dust containment would have helped. We have spent two days vacuuming and dusting including walls and ceilings washing Windows and curtains . Overall the final product looks great and was a quality job. The crew was exceptional.

Description of Work: Leveled floor, installed bamboo, glue down for new addition and whole house. |Overall very satisfied with most of the work and attitude of everyone at S&M. The schedule changed on us and we had to take addt'l time off from work but we were happy to get the work done quickly. |Floor not leveled properly even after multiple attempts floor sounds hollow in spots and creaks in new room, their equipment blew all of our circuit breakers the first day. |We were told our room/ house was crooked and that's why the flooring was not straight but it turns out that the other side of the room was indeed parallel with the first. I guess nobody but me will know??? |I do also realize that cash flow is important to small businesses but please don't ask for full payment until the full service has be rendered, inspected, and approved. Give me a few days to look over ALL the details. Mike was open to this when we were being asked for payment during the last days of installation. | |I have and will recommend this company
