Joe The Handyman

He installed the air conditioner quickly. He had to buy some hardware for the cabinets. He fixed the cabinet within a reasonable amount of time. He fixed the ledge in the bathroom. He was not able to fix the smoke detectors and suggested that I talk to the other people in my condo association to discover if they had problems or call an electrician.

Joe was great. Build a simple stud wall in our basement to create a utility room. Very nice and professional. Worked quickly and left the space clean when he left. Would use him again in the future.

Excellent attention to detail. Very satisfied with the work. We did have to wait awhile for the work to be started, but once started, he finished quickly and it was perfect!

Joe is one of the best handymen in the area. We had two unusual sized closets (42 inches) that had never been finished off. Joe actually figured out how to make 4, 21 inch sliding doors. He installed them along with moldings and casements and now they look great. Joe is a master problem solver. He is prompt, polite, a real gentleman and cleans up after the job is done. We would not hesitate to use him again.

I called and spoke with Joe and I let him know that I needed my front porch to be re-stained. When he called me back, he said he would swing by my house and take a look at it. He never showed up or called me back. What was a little strange "for me" he remembered who I was and asked "Did I ever get my windows replaced" and I told him yes I did. Then I said " I knew you sounded familiar." Anyhow, Shame on me for not realizing that I called the same guy that never got back to me. To make a long story short, after a second time around yet again, he did not call nor did he show. Not sure why???

He's very reliable, polite, and tells you the truth. It's not always about the cost, it's about the service and the professionalism of the individual.

Joe responded the same day as I requested his services. We arranged a meet two days later so he could evaluate the job. It was an outside job so we waited for non-inclement weather five days later. That day he arrived exactly on time and worked the gate for over an hour. Many areas needed reinforcement. Others needed complete reattachment. He completed the job leaving the gate whole and stable as it hadn't been for years. Throughout he was friendly as well as professional, asking permission as needed and leaving no debris.

I had a broken window casing and a few other minor repairs. I put him in touch with the tenant, and he took it from there. The work was completed professionally and competently.

Joe was very professional, after I called him, he called me back and told me he will drop by today. He called me again today morning and came in. He had given me an estimate before and then he came in took a look at the exact work to be done and provided me a final amount. He was very knowledgeable, very patient and did a great job. One of the door locks was very tight after he did a initial installation, he was not satisfied with it, so he finished all other work and then came back to that door and made it smooth (without me raising it). That shows the level of professionalism he had, he wanted to do everything right (even if I was ok) !!! I will definitely hire Joe again and also I am planning to use his services for our condo association also. Also the price was decent for the work he did. 5 stars for Joe !!!! And thanks to Angie's list for allowing me to find him !!!

I had a few small jobs around the house that needed to be done. After seeing such great reviews on Angie's List and seeing his website stated "no job too small," I called Joe the Handyman on Friday November 14th. Even though it was still within the business hours, I got the voicemail. I left a detailed message of the work that needed to be done. Its been 10 days and I never got a response.

He was very polite, timely and willing to answer any questions I had for him. Very flexible and gave suggestions along the way. Will use again, and highly recommend him.

He was great. He worked efficiently, he knew exactly where to put the alarms. He was experienced in putting them up, as well. Overall, it went very well.

Fixed a leaking window and sealed another before it started to leak. Added a threshold to rear entrance.

Joe is a very talented "handyman". I would say he is more of a craftsman. He has a knowledge of how to work in many areas and has such attention to details. Although these were nagging small jobs he approached them with professionalism and perfection. He actually saved the window sill for the parts that were still intact and created the piece that was rotted since the size and special type of wood is no longer available. He took the rotted piece home and on his equipment at home crafted the sill with a special wood and angle cut it so it had the correct angle of slope and it matched the other window exactly. He also painted it. The basement platform was designed with a better than the previous one that rotted away. It was fascinating to see how quickly he approached each job. He has a van full of equipment and special tools. He also educates you with what how and why he is doing things the way he does. Keep this guy in your speed dial. I am. Amazing to find a rare individual like him. He rocks the handyman world!

It went great. Joe was punctual. He took care of the door straight off and the next day he showed up with the materials and installed the railings. Joe did a professional job. He was meticulous about cleaning up afterward. It is nice to have someone to call to do small jobs like this for those of us that are not mechanically inclined.

Joe is a very personable, responsive and competent handyman. The threshold sweep on one of our outside doors rotted out do to the high snow getting underneath. We also had some other miscellaneous repairs that we have needed but no contractor would do because of the limited scope of work. We were so glad that we found Joe and have referred him to our friends already. We look forward to working with him again.

Everything went great. I called Joe after a bad experience with another handyman. I needed six window air conditioners installed in my brand new vinyl windows. The first handyman set the air conditioners directly on the lip of the window with no additional support. This in spite of the fact I specifically and repeatedly expressed my concern. When I noticed that at least one of the windows was damaged, I called Joe. He arrived within 90 minutes of my call, and listened to my concerns and came up with a simple solution. He did the job on the spot, in no time flat. I feel confident in his work. He was pleasant and courteous. Joe is my new favorite handyman.

Joe was great. Very happy with the tile work and railing he built. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and it came out great. I'll definitely be calling him in the future.

The door on my unit had to be broken into so the fire brigade could attend to an emergency while I was out of town. This meant that the door frame and deadlock were badly smashed. I needed to get it repaired quickly, and most contractors that I contacted were either too busy, or were not interested in such a small job. Joe responded immediately and fitted me in between two jobs he was doing. He listened to what I wanted, and was very conscientious about doing a good job, he had even picked up a new lock from the hardware on his way over to my place anticipating that we might need it... He was able to sort it out and have the door secure and functioning again in just over an hour. Will definitely be putting him on my speed dial for future handyman needs!

I called Joe and we discussed a good time when he could come over to look at the job. He offered to come over then since he lived very close by. Joe showed up shortly after speaking with him, looked at the hardware, and said he had what he needed to do the job. He did a great job and completed it quickly. Joe is professional and personable. I will be calling him again for sure!
