Joe The Handyman

Joe did odd jobs for me for over a year and I was generally happy with his service, except that he didn't track hours/expenses and would every half year or so send a large non-itemized bill, so beware of that. My biggest complaint is that he disappeared after promising to fix a botched deck painting job. The color he selected was far too light -- not at all what we'd discussed -- and started looking perennially dirty almost right away. He also failed to prime the nailheads as discussed so rust starting showing through too soon after. He assured me he'd use a durable "cement paint", but the stairs peeled within a few months. I haven't been able to get a return call for more than a year now, and now I have to pay someone else to fix it. I can not recommend him.

It went great, one project lead to a few more. I highly recommend Joe "The Handyman" because he worked with my schedule, he was fair in price and did a fantastic job. If your looking for a dependable handyman with a fair price coupled with great workmanship, I highly recommend Joe the handyman.

Joe was able to troubleshoot and figure out what was causing my garbage disposal from not working. My pot holder was a little defective, but he figured it out and put it together! Amazing!

Excellent. He answered on my first call. Competitive price. Was on time for the appointment. He did a good job and left the place clean. He was very professional. The final amount was exactly as the estimate.

Looked at several handymen services and went with Joe as he had good reviews and was close to wear we live. I am so happy with decision as he gets an A+++ in my book. I can't remember if he answered the phone or returned call but whatever it was he was very prompted. He came out to house explained what was needed and gave cost. He came out the following week and calked bathroom and also put some type of sealant on kitchen ceiling. Very happy with purchase.

Same day service (came within an hour of the call) Joe was able to handle a complicated dishwasher removal situation where previous owners had put in new hardwood floor after dishwasher. He was professional and pleasant, diligent and hard working. Would highly recommend!

Joe was very thoughtful and diligent on every project, offering "least-harmful" solutions throughout and good attention to detail. Among other things, he had to hunt down a replacement part for a shower fixture of unknown make and age. When none could be found, he proposed a creative - and ultimately satisfactory solution. We now have doors that close, towel bars that hold, etc., and wonder why it took us so long!

I called Joe to help clean up a bad job from a previous contractor. What a difference. Joe promptly returned my calls, showed up on time and ready to work. He did a great job including building me a beautiful custom rustic wood door. I designed it and he created it exactly as I wanted it. I couldn't be more please. Joe is also very easy to work with. He listens and is willing to work with the customer to get the job exactly right. Joe is my absolute go-to guy from now on!

I called Joe on a Sunday afternoon after a carpenter left in the middle of replacing my window, leaving me with a giant hole in the side of my house. He came right over and did a great job building a frame and installing the new window. He could have charged me an arm and a leg because I was so desperate, but he did it all for a very reasonable price. I'm indebted to Joe and highly recommend him!

Joe is professional, courteous and always on time. He always does quality work, and will do very small jobs as well. Highly recommended.

We have had Joe do work in our condo two times. The first time was to fix an under-mount sink that our roommate had somehow "dismounted". We were desperate to find someone to come out quickly, and were having no luck even getting anyone to respond. Joe responded fast, and showed up the next morning (early!). He did a great job on the sink, and the fee was extremely reasonable, especially since he arrived 12 hours after our call. The second time we used his services, he fixed a fan in the bathroom, and took several windows to be re-screened. He calls you back, shows up when he says he will, and finishes work in the time frame promised! We are very happy, and will be using him for future projects.

It went really well. He came out Saturday, gave us a price which included materials. He then came out Monday and installed the two new railings in about 3 hours. The stairs are much safer now with railings on both sides. Bottom line; he showed up time, completed the project in an efficient manner, cleaned up and stuck to his quote.

It didn't go , I never got the estimate

He was very courteous and did an extremely nice job. He said if anything breaks or comes loose to give him a call and he will fix it at no charge. He stand behind his work and i would recommend him to anyone.

For the small jobs he did, he did well and was fine. However, I had another important thing on my list that I wanted him to do. I have called him many times to ask him about completing this last job (installing two doors) but he has been entirely non-responsive. He doesn't respond to emails. I have had to call him and every time I do (which has been about 5 times), he apologizes and says he will get to it. But he hasn't. I have given up on him. He is a very nice guy and the work he did was done satisfactorily, but I found him unreliable.

Joe removed the rusted heating vent covers and took them back to his workshop to remove the rust and repaint them. He matched the new paint to the color of the existing vents perfectly, then brought them back to my house, reinstalled them, and finished up the painting in place. He also recaulked around the floor of the walk-in shower. Both repairs look wonderful. Joe was easy to reach, very responsive (he came to my house within an hour the first time I contacted him), is easy to work with, and his pricing is reasonable. I'm very happy to have found someone whom I can trust to do handyman-type jobs for a fair price and will definitely contact him for future jobs.

He's just a smart, calm and reliable person. Love Joe. He even patched a little grout that was missing without asking.
