Renovations By Darren

He is just outrageous and I use him all the time. I think that he should have a gold rating. He is absolutely wonderful and very reasonably prices. He is very conscientious and if he is even 5 minutes late, he would call. He follows up to make sure everything is fine.

I am very happy with the work. However I did not get a written estimate and I am still waiting for the itemized paperwork. I did not get any other estimates so I can not say if I overpaid. I feel it was a bit expensive. I would have liked an estimate for the second day's work but I did approve the work. I wound up spending more than I could afford at that time. I did pay for the supplies and have some of the receipts. I do not know how much I paid for the labor. I still am very happy with the work. I have had some very bad experiences with handymen. I would call Darren again.

They installed it with a few hours. They were very friendly and courteous. They told me I had bought the wrong air conditioner so I went to Home Depot and bought a new one. I called them up and they were able to install it fast. They were also very neat and cleaned up after themselves.

Darren and "Nick" arrived on time. They had no identification on their vehicle, or on their person, no businsess cards, no estimate forms - in fact no tape measure or writing implement of any kind. They said they would do "everything" but supply nothing for a flat $2,300. The word "permit" never came up. I did not get a professional impression from this meeting at all and would not consider entrusting a my first renovation ever to these guys. They just appeared to be 2 nice guys and brought nothing to the table professionally. I guess they might have been over their heads or just didn't want the job.

Refer to the above for specific details. But suffice it to say was I red faced and obviously mortified that the fix was so simple. Especially since Darren had quizzed me in our initial phone conversation about the existence of any GFIs. Darren and his son were very professional throughout and Darren took the time to explain why he had been convinced it was probably a GFI switch that was the culprit. He declined payment at first but relented at last to my insistence that I pay for his trouble and travel. Still, he insisted on letting me decide on a fair price. We discussed some projects he might be asked to do in the near future and he left.

They were excellent. Darren was the best I've ever dealt with. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and immaculate. They were terrific.

Darren has always been my go to guy for repairs on all three of my homes. His professionalism,courtesy, and reasonable pricing cannot be beat!

It all went very well. The first visit was delayed for a day because of another client's emergency but in the end all went well. Darren was very punctual and responsive.

Darren and his assistant came to the property and tore out all the old carpeting and laid the new laminate flooring in two days. The work was professional and efficient. They originally hadn't installed quarter round mouldings in the walk in closet, which I later called about and requested that they be installed there as well. Darren came out and did the additional work, which was much appreciated. Overall, I would definitely use Darren again for future jobs, as he was very responsive, professional and did good work.

He came when he said he was going to come and always answsered his phone calls. He would call about an hour ahead of time before arriving. We had one small issue with the spackling but we were able to work it out with him.

I called and asked if it could be done within the next three days. I was told someone would be out to my house within the next two days. I never heard from them again.

Darren was very responsive, came on time, and gave an estimate. We made an appointment for the following week. He and his son arrived on time and the work was completed in a prompt and professional manner. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

This is our 2nd time using Darren for a renovation at our town home. After phoning Darren, we scheduled him to come out to review what we wanted done. Darren and his son showed up on time, took measurements and provided us with suggestions on where to pick out granite, tile, and cabinets and provided us with our exact measurements and requirements. We ordered the material, some of which was delivered and some of which Darren picked up. We gave Darren a key to our home and left for a week. They tore out the old floor, kitchen, and breakfast nook. Installed the new cabinets and approx 1000 sq ft of new 20x20 tile. When we came back the debris was gone and the area cleaned up, and the kitchen painted with the color we had picked out. While our granite was being fabricated, Darren created a temp, sink and faucet for us to use while we waited. Once the granite was installed, Darren installed the new under mount sink, faucet and new disposal. Additionally, we had some electrical work done, a new outdoor outlet installed and he repaired a problem with our electrical in the laundry room. We highly recommend Darren and his son, they are professional, on time, and truly care about their work and their clients. Our kitchen and floors turned out better than we had expected and look awesome. Throughout the entire process, Darren would update us on his progress and give his advice when asked. We will use Darren again on future projects. They do high quality work at a fair price.

First they said they were too busy to talk, call later for appointment. When they did show the project was clearly a lot more then they could handle. They said "we don't get permits, the owner needs to do that". They did not present in a professional manner and did not seem capable of major construction/remodeling work. Given the positive responses I read, I expected something very different. They might be fine for small repair jobs that do not involve permits or major remodeling, but at a minimum they should change their description to handyman only.

He came on time and gave me an estimate. We made an appointment for a Saturday and he called to confirm the night before, arrived at the appointed time. Work was completed in a professional and timely manner. There was a problem with the fan light and Darren replaced it at his expense. They were both professional and personable. I highly recommend them, and hire would hire them in the future.

They were excellent, as rated by Angie's list. Did everything as painlessly as possible, with very little disruption, punctual, neat, and a great paint job. Even finished a day early.

We were very pleased with the work, service and dependability of Darren and his son. The bookshelf wall unit looks fantastic and the foldup table was very innovative (and a difficult assignment). If you need some creativity, dependability & fair pricing - these are your men!

I was pleased with the good job that this man did. They came when they were scheduled to come. They are nice people to work with and cleaned up after themselves. He obtained all the materials that were needed for the project.

I called him on a Friday and told him what I needed done and he said that he would come on Monday morning and he did! He came out and he repaired my closet. He said that he would come out and see if he needed to rebuilt or just reattach it. All he had to do was reattach it. He also put up a mirror in my bathroom.

Quite positive. Darren was consistently punctual, behaved professionally and provided good service. The end product as beautiful -- a smooth, seamless wall, with no rough edges, nails or tape showing.

Our experience from the initial consultation to the final walk through as been phenomenal. Darren and his co-workers (which includes his son) were professional, polite, honest and accommodating to our requests. Communication and meeting expectations are two very important ingredients needed when you hire a contractor and this company accomplished that! Darren took our phone calls any time of the day. It was great that he called us nightly to get our feedback on the quality and progress of the job. Since we both work, we entrusted him with our house key. They kept the place clean and organized throughout the entire process. In all it took about 10 days to complete the job. They accomplished everything that was requested of them, on time and on budget. There were no last minute surprises. They also guarantee their work, which is comforting to know. We've had a bad experience with another company that didn't respond to our requests. Darren offered to complete those remaining open items for us and we're thankful that he did. The bottom line is that I would strongly recommend this company to anyone who has some small to medium size home projects that they want completed. I intend to use them again in the future.

Called when he said he would, showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, polite, well mannered, suggested alternative to my original plan which saved us thousands of dollars.

He did not do any work for us. We hired Webb Fencing, & they were very professional & did a great job.
