Renovations By Darren

It went extremely well overall. Darren and his son were able to tell me exactly what was causing the problem and gave me the most cost efficient solution. The work was done in a timely manner and they were always prompt.

Was very good. Went slightly over budget because he had to lay down three coats on many walls, but was overall about right. Finished early and worked over the holidays even though he had a month to finish.

His price was very fair. He came out everyday, stuck with the job from the beginning to the end and was very punctual. Unfortunately, he doesn't do knock down work, but I knew this going in. He did, however, do everything he said he would. He was very good, very earnest and very reliable. I would use him again.

I chose Darren's name from Angie's List because I was impressed with the number of great reviews received. I had designed, researched and planned this renovation for a long time and wanted someone with a variety of skills, integrity and the ability to deliver the vision. I couldn't be happier with the job or the experience! It is a beautiful job. Darren works with his son and brother, and all are very skilled, punctual and clean up each day. Darren is great about returning calls and talking through the day-to-day decisions or problems. I knew what to expect and he did what he said he would do. I made all the choices and purchases of fixtures and materials, and had to step-up, to keep the pace with Darren - happy to say. He is easy to work with and communicates well. I will contact him for all future work - he's that good. As his reputation grows, so will his schedule, but I know it will be worth the wait. So anyone reading this, hire him. You won't be disappointed.

Overall a very good experience, he did what he said and in no time flat.

I am very pleased with the outcome of the work done by this contractor. My whole kitchen seems brighter and larger now. The work done was done well. I did have a problem with plaster dust everywhere when he had finished, but that is hard for anyone to contain. I would recommend him as being reliable and very fairly priced.

Came on time to give me an estimate, was clean and presentable and very courteous. He and his assistant arrived the next day exactly on time, did the entire job within 1.5 hours and left everything perfectly neat and clean. Could not be happier.....excellent work done just as I wanted. I recommend his service most highly.

I emailed Darren regarding a job and never heard back so I decided to call him. We made an appointment for the following week over the phone to do the work. Darren gave me an estimate over the phone of $300-$350 which seemed like a fair price. I did not hear from him about our appointment so I called to confirm the day before and he could not make our appointment due to being behind on some jobs because his helper was unavailable and he was doing all the work by himself. Good thing I called. We made a new appointment for the next week, again I called the day prior to confirm and he showed up promptly. He installed the stainless steel tiles nicely with what he had to work with; the walls were a bit uneven. We made an appointment for the following week to grout the tile. I called the day before to confirm and he showed up promptly as planned with his helper this time. I wasn't too thrilled with the grout work. They did a fairly decent job of cleaning up after themselves.

Excellent, work done well, on time and for agreed price even though there was a little extra that needed to be done.

Bedroom floor collapsed on Saturday.... I checked Angies list on Sunday morning, expecting to leave lots of messages....first call was answered by Darren himself and within the hour (on a Sunday morning!!!) he was at my house, checking out the damage and estimating the work that would need to be done! Although he offered a date to start work ( at a very fair price), I waited to deal with insurance, structural engineers and lots of other complicated situations.... but I'll sure be calling upon Darren to work in my home and have already referred him to others. I never met a more responsive, professional workman....

Never called back, I must assume, he did not want the job.

I was very pleased with the services I received from Darren. He arrived when he said he would, thus was very dependable. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of my house as he work on all the various projects. Everything was cleaned up and left practically spotless. The re-tiled bathroom came out great! He was very co-operative and helpful as to how things could be done and paid attention to details. I would highly recommend using Darren for your home projects.

They also did some other stuff for me, but, I cannot remember at this time. Everything turned out terrifically and I am very happy. They knew exactly what they were doing and they did it with no hassles. They always came on time and they were just great. I am sorry, but, I am not going to give a price because I do not know what it was.

Darren came every day and finished on time.

Because the lines were old, it was a tougher job and he didn't charge any extra, even though it took him longer. He had to get some parts and come back. He was terrific and I would use him again.

I called Darren in a panic. He was calm and reassuring. After having such bad luck with previous contractors, I was relieved to find someone who not only arrived on time, but stayed true to his word and even called me to "check in" and schedule the follow up. His professional demeanor and cleanliness are a rarity. Darren had to redo the drywall and plumbing in 2 baths. He also discovered that my tub drain was not connected prior to the marble being layed. I would have had a flood!! I am still using him for the remaining multiple jobs in my renovation. I feel confidant that will do all he can to be helpful and fair.

No work was performed because Darren did not show up for the estimate. The first time I called Darren, he said he was busy and would call me back. He did not call. I decided to call him again because he had such positive reviews on Angie's List. We made an appointment for him to come to my home for an estimate on a bathroom renovation. He did not show for the estimate. I think that is extremely unprofessional.

I scheduled the appointment. He set the appointment for 9AM. He did not show up. I called him, and he said that he couldn't make it and he would have to reschedule. The appointment was set for a few days after the call, and I was upset that he could not remember the appointment. He admitted that he'd totally forgotten the appointment.

First, Darren is VERY professional, CARES about his workproduct, and is extremely trustworthy. We called Darren for an estimate, and he showed up ON TIME and provided a fair price. Based upon our meeting w/ Darren and his estimate we decided to move forward with the project. Darren said that he could start on Thursday and be completed by the weekend. We were scheduled to go out of town. We felt so comfortable w/ Darren that we gave him a key and left for the weekend. We came home on Sunday with Darren wrapping up the project. Everything turned out better than we expected. Despite the fact that we constantly made changes on the project, Darren remained professional. We have already recommended him to friends and family, and will continue to do so. He is a rare find in this business, Professional, Fair price, and High quality work. We plan on using him in the future.

I called Darren to do the above work after finding out about him on Angie's List and having him do some kitchen tile work for me (that was also an excellent job!)Once again I was not disappointed!

Darren and Wayne did a fantastic job. They repainted the entire interior of my home on time and on budget. They were extremely polite, professional, and completely trustworthy and I recommend them without hesitation.

Can't pin him down since initial unwritten off the cuff estimate. They did come out around when they said they would to look at the proposed job. If I want to use them it appears as if I will have to repeatedly call back and try to work out the final details and costs. He seems to be too busy all the time.

The project was a huge success and I would definitely recommend this company for the work that they do. They were always on time and extremely pleasant and professional.

Darren was very prompt in responding to my call. He looked at the job, gave me a price, and we agreed on a start date. I proceeded to get the model and style numbers of the tub, toilet, plumbing fixtures, tile, etc. needed for the job which Darren picked up and delivered. (The cost of all these items, and other material, such as wallboard, studs, and other miscellaneous plumbing and hardware, was not included in the contract price.) The work went well until he ran out of tile. It took a month after the job was almost completed to get the few pieces needed. He returned to finish the tile work and make some minor repairs. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Excellent. In the 25 years I've lived here, this is the best work I've had done. They came when they said, got the job done a day ahead of schedule, were able to do it all, and the finished project is great. Darren was especially helpful about products we needed to get and what to look out for. I couldn't be happier.
