I searched Angies list for pool service, as i was shopping for a new pump. I found several companies with good reviews, and sent out emails a number of them. One company didnt respond at all, another one responded with an email asking for additional information and my address to come out and take a look. What impressed me was that i received a call the very next morning from Scott at Aqua Blue Pools. He was extremely knowledgeable about the equipment and listed to what i wanted. He quoted me a price over the phone of what the equipment would cost. I informed him that i had quote requests out to a few other places, and wanted to wait to hear back from them. He was cool with that. While i was waiting for the other companies, i went online and price-checked myself. Surprisingly, I did not find any better deals that what Scott quoted me. I went ahead and just called him back and scheduled the install, but also added a new filter as well. On the day the tech arrived, he had everything he needed with him, and first explained to me what he would be doing. Once he was complete, he showed me how to operate the new pump, how the programming works, and asked if i had any questions. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the service.

It went great. They came when they said they were going to come and did a great job. They are always very responsive and great to work with.

Aqua Blue was very prompt, professional and reasonably priced. They even offered free advice later. I was very satisfied.

It was a one step at a time problem solving activity. Took a few tries but the air in the line problem was resolved. Very please with how they stayed with it and tracked the problem down.

We had always been fairly unhappy with our prior pool service (were the same people that resurfaced our pool), but having never owned a pool before we stuck with them for almost a year. Finally we decided to investigate pool services on Angies list. Aqua Blue has been extremely responsive. They do all the work needed each week (as opposed to just showing up). They gave us the name of the pebble tech installing company to ask if it would invalidate our warranty if they clean a spot on the bottom of the pool which shows a good knowledge of the pool industry. They also told us how we could winterize our solar system which was useful advice! We have only been with them for three weeks, but thus far we are very impressed with their service.

These folks are extremely courteous and do exactly what they tell you they will do. Their prices are reasonable. I would recommend them to my friends.

Overall I'm pleased. The initial cleaning was not thorough. I had to scrub the deposits from the sides. Since then, it's been clean.

Do Not Use This Company! Aquablue gave me a beating that left me BLACK and BLUE. Aquablue was hired by my home maintenance insurance company, Old Republic, to fix my pool's chlorine generator and pump motor (separate orders). It took the company numerous visits and nearly 5 months total time to complete the repairs, and a second company is now finishing the work they botched. It is a long story. Initially Aquablue replaced a circuit board, which took about 3 months to complete. The same board went bad a month or so laterand Old Republic replaced the same board a second time (for approx. $400 ea, although I don't know exactly what the insur co paid). After they ordered the second board, I called them to find out when they were coming back to make the repair and to ask them whether the warped housing cover on the unit might be letting water in and the cause of the shorted-out circuit boards. The repairman replied... "yeah I saw that, it probably is why the boards fried" and added "you might want to fix it." YOU THINK?? It sure would have been nice if he had shared his observation with me and Old Republic the 1st time around, so they wouldn't have to pay for a second circuit board and I wouldn't have to buy the next one when it fried again. In any case, I informed him that I had covered the gap with a piece of metallic duct tape, and asked him to please be sure to replace the tape whenever he came back to put the second board in. He said... "I can't do that. I don't carry that kind of tape around in my truck and it's not part of the job" i.e. I'm just going leave it as-is, so it can fry again and you can buy a third board for $400. Within the 4 month time frame that Aquablue was fixing the chlorinator, the pool pump motor started to make grinding noises. The day after my family left town for a week, Aquablue came out and replaced the the pool pump motor. When I got home 6 days after the pump was installed, I noticed a burning smell coming from the pool equipment area and went over to have a look. I found the new pump running burning hot with no water in the system (it obviously hadn't been primed), a piece of the old pump lying nearby in the yard, and a 1/4" gap where the electrical power cable enters the motor that could let water in and cause a short. To add insult to injury, the rubber gasket that is supposed to seal this electrical connection lay in plain right under the gaping cable connection. Amazing. So I call Aquablue for the 20th time (at least) to tell them about this latest issue. The owner, Michael, acts concerned and makes an appointment to come out and look at it with me a couple of days later. Surprise-surprise, he doesn't shows up for our appointment and doesn't bother to call. So I called him. When he picks up the phone he says to me "I was too busy on a commercial job to make the appointment. I wouldn't have answered the phone if I had known it was you. Call Scott in the office and he can handle it." Wow, that's some great customer service. I did call Scott. He was very polite and I made another appointment, to meet Scott at the house. He didn't bother to show up either. About two days later the pool pump that Aquablue had "repaired" seized up and stopped running altogether. The good news is that the breaker tripped so the house didn't burn down. At this point, yesterday, I went back to Old Republic and said enough is enough. They called Dale's Gas, who came out today (as promised) and looked over the pump. They found that Aquablue had left some of the parts in the pump loose, which had caused them to jam and seize-up. In addition, Dales Gas immediately told me the chlorinator cover needed to be replaced and identified a few other things they could do to make the system run better. So far-so good with Dales Gas.

I moved into a home with a pool and I've never owned one. It was during the heavy rains in June and July and the pool was almost overflowing; then it became green and cloudy and gross. I had called another company and this one. This one called me back within the day and scheduled someone to come out in two days on Monday. After many visits (for a flat rate) they cleaned, replaced piping, tested and made chemical corrections, the pool is now blue, clean and enjoyable. I had been in the house six weeks and had not once been in the pool because it was such a mess. One company had come out and reworked some pipes and added a valve but it didn't fix the problem long term. I am using Aqua Blue Pools monthly service right now. Please note, there is another company with a similar name and it was confusing at first when I tried to look up the number again.

We did not use them. I liked his candor. He told me that my pool will be fine for more than a year and I need to call him only after that.

I was satisfied with their service. They were very responsive. Originally they said that could come out by the end of the week, I explained my issue and they came out the next day.

We like Aqua Blue's monthly maintainance services ($77.50), as they are reliable, efficient, responsive, and provide comprehensive services. Regarding occasional pool-related repairs, they are honest and competitively priced. We used them to replace our salt water pool system, although we did not use them to repair and repaint our pool deck.

They helped diagnosis the problem on the phone. They then set an appointment and explained that if the diagnosis was correct the price would be around $200 for a pump similar to what I had now. They showed up and replaced the pump as promised. Their service was great.

They went above and beyond what we paid for. They were fabulous. If you need any type of pool service, this is the company that you want to go with. You just can't say enough good things about this company from the owner to the manager to all of the workers. They are all professional and they go out of there way to satisfy the customer.

Spoke with Scotty and received a competitive quote for a high efficiency pool pump. We agreed quickly on price and fast service date and the work was completed at the time promised without any issue. With my old system finally dying for good, I contacted Scotty (Mike did the install and Austin performs my weekly service), who works for Aqua Blue (AB), my weekly pool care service provider. He quoted me the lowest price (of five vendors) for the exact system for which I was looking. AB knows my pool, so I went with them. I gave them the go ahead and two days later, a job well done. He and the other guys at AB are very knowledgeable and professional and they always go above and beyond what I ask the to do. I would recommend them to anyone for all jobs, great and small. In addition, I have only good things to say about the weekly pool service. At some point in the near future, I will transition to doing my own service. However, the prices and the services that AB provides are excellent and I would recommend AB to anyone who just doesn't want to be bothered with performing their own pool service.

I spent around $130 on that job. They had replaced the pool pump earlier on as well. They were very personable and knowledgeable. Their customer service is very good. They are very reasonable priced and were pretty responsive and conscientious.
