Aqua Blue Pools is amazing! When I called to inquire about replacing my old pool pump, I spoke with the receptionist Michaela, who called me right back and had arranged for a pool technician to come by my house the very next day! Darryl came by as promised, and explained all of my options for replacing the pool pump with an energy-efficient variable speed one-- which will save money every month! I discovered that I had been given wrong information from my local pool chemical store, and Darryl set the record straight! I have been an Aqua Blue Pools customer for 5 years and I am so happy with their quality work.

Excellent provider. The young man who came to do the service was very polite. He arrived early in the window that was provided. When he arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem and got to work. He fixed the problem in no time and had the pump up and running like new. He was very pleasant and we even had a conversation while he performed the work. I have already saved the number for this company in my phone. These are my permanent pool guys

The job was scheduled to start Nov. 12th 2015. Due to a series of delays on contractor's end, it has not started until the first week of December, with the pool finish applied on Dec. 18th 2015. After the completion it had become obvious, that while tile and deck were done reasonably well, the pool finish had random spots and wasn't even. Michael (the owner) has accepted my comments, and had promised many times to address them. However, as time goes, it doesn't happen, and he becomes harder and harder to get a hold of. To illustrate, he sent one of his experts to assess possible remediation options (mind you, we're in March -- the job was completed before Christmas). The gentleman was here last Saturday. Ever since, my emails and texts to Michael went unanswered. All in all, working with AquaBlue was a tedious experience. Michael gave me his cell # the day he made the sale -- he may have skipped that step. I don't think he picked a call once, and range of time it takes him to return the call went from 5 min (wow!) to never. Absolutely randomly. At this point, I've given up the hope that the problems with the finish will ever be addressed, and will have to hire someone else to complete the job.

Mr. [Removed Member Name]as it is explained at every contract signing we set a start date but explain that your start date maybe moved due to weather or other complications with other jobs. Your project would be a prime example of how delays are created. We had the pool drained and all the tile off and there was no tile selection that had even been made at that time. Once the tile was finally picked and it was all installed there was then another several day delay because you then decided that maybe you wanted deco tiles installed in the raised beam area of your pool. Once it was figured out that the whole back wall of tile would have to come down to properly place any deco tiles on it that you selected we then moved on. Before your project was started we kept in full contact with you explaining our delays and we were able to start sooner but you did not want your pool empty during Thanksgiving which is completely understandable. After experiencing the issues listed above you should have been more than understanding on how our delays are created. At every contract signing I will give out my work cell phone number and also state that if there is anything that my office cannot handle to please call me. After viewing your concerns with the pool finish we determined that it was an exposer issue which we agreed to correct. We attempted to correct the exposure issues but after that you seemed to have a different set of problems including having us remove paint from the screen enclosure that was from 3 deck paint jobs ago. I always want my customers happy but it becomes very difficult when something different is always brought up and not everything all at once. We have made our attempts to correct your problems and I feel there is some miscommunication that you would never let us get to the bottom of. I am very thankful though after speaking with you on the phone that you will allow us to properly address your concerns so that both parties are happy.

Aqua blue was great. I was managing the property from afar and they were patient and courteous and willing to go the extra mile to work around my inability to be on premise. I dealt with Mikayla over the phone on several occasions and she was terrific. Always friendly and helpful. It goes without saying, but the pool looked great under their care.

My previous pool repair company wanted $1200 to install what I found out later was a poorly rated multi-speed pump. I asked if I purchased a pump elsewhere on the Internet what they would charge for installation - they said $350. I found a top rated Hayward multi-speed pump on Amazon for $850. Aqua Blue not only installed it, but even though it technically did not meet their coupon criteria, with it they charged less than $100. Aqua Blue is also a warrantee repair station for Hayward. They are definitely my new pool repair company!

It was an absolute pleasure doing work with Aqua Blue Pools and Michael Harding (owner) Below are a few points that will make me to continue using Aqua Blue Pools service and recommend to my friends: * Lowest price found * Exceptional quality finished product ? Please see the attached before and after photos * Owner is extremely knowledgeable and responsive ? Michael answered questions I had promptly * Work crew was very professional and went above and beyond to produce a high quality finished product My wife and I recently moved into a new house and the pool and concrete patio were in serious need of repairs. I obtained several quotes from different companies to resurface the pool and clean and paint the concrete patio. Aqua Blue Pools came in the lowest by more than $200. And more importantly Aqua Blue Pools was able to get the job completed by deadline we requested. We had a somewhat expeditious deadline we requested due to we wanted our pool ready for our 1-year old baby?s birthday party. The other companies we obtained estimates from said they could not meet this deadline and it would have taken the other companies between one to two months longer. However, Aqua Blue Pools was able to meet the deadline and they completed on time with a few days to spare and our party was a great success. My father owns a pool maintenance company in Miami and has been in business for 40 years. So he is very knowledgeable of anything dealing with pools. Therefore, I asked my father to help me in screening the different companies by asking certain questions and seeing which one he thought was the best. He selected Aqua Blue Pools. My father said it was obvious that Michael (owner of Aqua Blue Pools) truly cares about the finished product. One item that Aqua Blue Pools included for the service they provided us was a free 30 days of pool maintenance after the pool is refinished. This, my father explained to me, is very important, because if the chemicals are not balanced this can wreak havoc on the pool surface finish due to calcium can be leached out of the surface material amongst other things. There are several types of material that can be used on resurfacing a pool. Some pool companies like to stick with certain brands. My father explained to me that Florida Gem is preferred due to it?s been seen to last longer. Therefore, I asked Aqua Blue Pools if they could use Florida Gem for the aggregate to resurface the pool and they were able to. It is my pleasure to highly recommend to Aqua Blue Pools to anyone who is looking to get work done on their pool.

Service and quality of work was fantastic. Pool turned out great. We had a slight upcharge for our pool tile, but this was completely expected and as explained during the consultation with Michael. Michael was flexible and worked around my schedule as I was having some additional work completed at the same time. The crew working on the pool were onsite everyday and had as minimal an impact on my day to day as can be expected. Michael's attention to detail is such that minor issues that I had told his crew were fine (such as paint on a couple plants) did not meet his quality standards and he made his crew return to correct. Michael even found and had his crew repair a crack in the deck that had started to reform without prompting and before I noticed it myself. Michael worked with me on individual pieces of the work to match and/or beat pricing from competitors. I actually received a lower quote, but realized that how it was priced I would not be getting exactly what I wanted or what I needed. In the end I chose Aqua Blue not because they were cheapest, but because after meeting Michael I knew I was getting the best value and the best quality. Overall great experience and fair pricing. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Started service in June 2014 based on their stellar Angie's ratings. We were. advised by company equipment required repair. Authorized repair work and was completed. Throughout August quality of service declined as pool and spa were dirty and had algae. We then complained throughout the month of September about the pool and particularly the spa condition, which was now substantially green with algae. How could this have not been noticed if a technician was servicing the system weekly? Documented a total of four emails and phone correspondence about the poor condition of pool/spa just in the month of September alone. Finally September 26th response received from Scott, General Manager, stating he was going out that day and would have a report later to us that afternoon. Report or phone call was never received. The poor condition of the pool cost us a sales offer on the house. On October 22nd received call that technician was going out to house to determine problem. I found that strange that over three weeks later someone was going to check on the pool/spa. Perhaps they had to document some work on the pool to justify the monthly service fee. Again no further correspondence was received from company. On October 29, 2014 I emailed the company to immediately stop servicing the pool and spa. Had complained via documented emails and phone calls since June 30, 2014. Four months later we still had major problems and a complete lack of customer service from company. Informed company on October 29th that we were not paying for October service. In fact, not only was service not performed in October but service problems that were documented via emails, photos and phone calls were not performed in September as well. I received a past due invoice dated December 1st that I received December 12th for October unpaid service. I cannot believe the audacity of this company. Were they kidding? Exactly what service did they provide in October? For that matter what about the service in September? And the last email that I had sent them on October 29th? No response until November 4th ,which was just full of excuses. I can not believe that their other rating a positive. I would give them less than an 'F' if I could.

It really amazes me the time that certain customers will take to create a story. This case here is pretty simple to summarize. My company was hired to clean this pool and stand alone spa that had equipment that had been homeowner rigged for years. We put the pool on a cleaning route and after a couple of weeks the route guy told us that I needed to come look at the pool cause it had multiple issues. After looking at the pool equipment we reported the issues to the homeowner along with a cost for repair. We were then told that we would have to meet the husband at the house to explain the issues because there was nothing wrong with anything. After meeting we were able to get some of the needed repairs approved but the most important repair which was putting a filter on the spa was never approved. The only complaints that we ever received while having this pool and spa on service were that the spa would turn green. We would explain time and time again that the spa had no filter and we needed to install one to prevent this problem. We were always faced with " we'll let's get it blue and hopefully the house will sell" motto. It simply amazes me that if my company kept the pool and spa in such bad shape and we cost you one possible sale of the house then #1 why where we servicing the house until it sold and #2 why did the new home owner that bought the house keep our services. Once the house sold we brought up all the equipment issues to the new homeowner and they were not very pleased with all the money that they had to spend to make things right with the pool and spa equipment. They follow up with their work and make sure everything is working properly. We live out of state and must trust who we have maintaining our pool. They ended up getting some kind of cement all over the concrete. They said that they can’t get it out and it will never look the same. The only way I would get it out is to paint the concrete deck and they wanted to charge me for that so I protested and told them I would take them to court so they said they painted it for free. They came back and did what they could do to repair the damage and it stills shows on the deck and it is not as perfect as it was before. If I decided the sell my house it might affect the house price. It does not blend in with the rest of the concrete.

It honestly saddens me to read this review. When we gave you an estimate on your project you wanted the cheapest price out there. We by no means reflected the quality of our work in the price that we quoted the job for. Before the job was started and with the tile that you selected to put on the pool we make all our customers fully aware that when you have a non cantilever pool deck that there is always going to be a patch point where the tile and deck meet. Since this job was so about the price that it was going to cost you didn't want to have the deck painted at the time of the pool renovation to ensure the smoothest transition as possible where the tile and deck meet. We had been out to your house several times to discuss a correction that would help the deck transition look better and a matter of fact you had even picked out a paint color and agreed to have the deck painted. Many of times we would receive a call a week or two later that you had changed your mind and that was not going to satisfy you and you wanted it exactly the way it looked before. I am sorry but matching a cool deck stain color on a 20 year old deck is like trying to color match paint on a 20 year old car when you only want to paint half of it. The last time that I met with you at your home before we agreed to pain the deck I explained to you that what was on the deck in about was 5 small spots was grout. Never once did I say that that couldn't be taken off and make the deck look the same. I explained that where the tile and the deck met was never going to look the same simply because more concrete needed to be added where the tile and the deck meet and paint would be the only thing that would hide the concrete color difference. After completing the deck painting you and your wife were very happy with the job and now it seems that like before some time has gone by and you have become unsatisfied again. after the first week it was nothing but one disaster after another. I came home and saw my chloronator was leaking. I had to prchse a new o-ring for the pinched one left by the tech. I asked for another tech because I felt ti would be the responsibilty of the tech to ensure there were no leaks after opening and closing something. The next week another tech came by, introduced himself and seemed very nice and capable. Wrong!! After he left I went out the next morning and my vacuum head was laying loose onthe bottom of the pool and the hose was sucking air and fluttering around. I fixed everyhting and called Aqua Blue to cancel my services. I even told the girl in the office to keep the money I had paid for the month just dont come back. I go outside this morning and guess what? My vacuum is laying on the bottom of the pool and the hose is sucking air again!! After once again correcting the mistakes I called their office to question why. I was told I was removed from the tech's route list last week. I still don't know why he came back. My pump motor could have been ruined with all the air coming through the hose. No offer of a refund just meaningless apologies. I would NEVER recommend this pool service. They made my old service llok so good I have returned to them.

[member name removed], We work very hard for our reputation and it saddens me to see your review. There are several things that you mentioned in your review that just don't seem to add up. Orings don't get pinched unless they are stretched and need replacement, and vac hoses don't just come off of cleaner heads unless they are stretched and need to be replaced. Sometimes with some pieces of pool equipment until it malfunctions we will never know there is a problem and it appears we were never given a chance to correct those problems. I looked back into customer complaint files and neither tech that has been out to your house has never had these kind of complaints in there employment history with me. As a matter of fact both of the files of complaints are very thin and the only complaints they have are a couple pools that have had minor algae due to equipment issues. After looking through the vehicle GPS reports of your current pool cleaning tech it showed the he didn't even show up to your house the week that you are claiming that we weren't suppose to be there and mysteriously the vac hose had came off again. We always offer credits for lack of service for unhappy customers. When we offered you told us to keep the money and not come back which we agreed to but then you want to make my company look bad and say basically that we didn't try to give you any compensation. Last but not least when I personally came you to your house to look at your pool for a service rate cause it is a non screened pool the pool was in bad shape and it baffles me why you would even think about going back to the company that left your pool in that condition Michael Harding President

They were great I really appreciate Mike taking a very long time with me to really get to know what I wanted and making it happen. I interviewed so many Angie's list recomended pool people and these guys were the most knowledgeable about the unique pool that I had and the changes I wanted made to the automation system that I had that was broken. They were very honest in letting me know when they didn't know an answer to some of my very specific and technical questions and didn't make something up. They said I don't know and they will look into and get back with me. I liked that! They guy that came to do the job was very hard working and very knowledgeable. I would have questions about things while he was working here for two days and he was right on with everything. His assistant which was newer and learning about things was a very hard worker and very nice. These are guys I can trust, and they will always be my pool company. I am glad to have found them!

Mike from Aqua Blue Pools came to my house to provide me with quotations for repairing my pool deck after a not-so-handyman messed up a simple caulking job. He also guided me on what kind of new pool motor I should consider buying and how to save money in the process. Aqua Blue Pools has always provided me with fair quotes and excellent customer service. The original estimate was $125.00 with $50 off ($75). The final cost was $309.00. I was told the cost went up because they had never seen my pool pump and was not aware of its configuration, resulting in addional parts and labor. I told them they could have requested pictures and saved me some time. It required two service visits to complete the work, because the necessary parts were not on the truck during the first service call. Scheduling the second service call and getting a committment was extremely difficult and not according to what was convenient to me. No concessions were made in reference to cost although it cost me a half day of vacation to be there for the first service call and another half day of vacation for the second service call. I tried to get them to do the work during the first service call, but I was told that they did not have time to go and get the other required part.

[member name removed], I first want to sincerely apologize for the experience that you had with my company. As I understand we were told that when you called us to install the pump for you that it was just a basic install. Once my tech arrived on site to install your pump we found that your old pump was proped up and all of your pipe fittings were fitting to fitting and your valves could not be saved. Since Aqua-Blue Pools is a factory warranty station for the model of pump that you bought we would not attempt to install the pump without replacing the valves because we would have not been able to get the proper piping specs that the manufacture recommends which would have voided warranty claims on your pump in the future. Being the professional company that we are we always try and do the right thing for the customers investment but we are not always liked at the current time because of the cost increase or go back situation. You had a very rare plumbing situation that we only may have had 5 out of roughly 1000 this year to where we didn't have the parts on the truck and had to come back to complete the job. When we set up service calls we set an allowed amount of time for each repair and your repair was by far way out of the allowed amount of time scheduled. We tryed to reschedule and get out to your house in a timely manner but I will honestly say that out of the roughly 1000 service calls that we have performed this year you were one of the customers that had the toughest schedule to meet. This has taught us a valuable lesson and created a different course of action that we now take to avoid making Aqua-Blue Pools look bad to my customers

When I first called, the technician was scheduled to come out and he arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem as the bearings in the pump motor. He had the motor, but did not have the seal kit for my pump. The part was ordered and as soon as it arrived, I was contacted to schedule the repair visit. The weather was quite stormy so the technician arrived a bit late, but he made the repair in short order.

We found Aqua Blue on Angie's List & were not dissappointed. They gave a reasonable estimate and started the work in a timely manner (considering it was peak pool season). Mike, Scott & their crew were professional and very skilled at pool work. They did a great job refinishing the pool and even provided a few free pool cleanings with our purchase. We are very pleased with their work & plan to use them if we need future pool repairs/maint.

My in-floor pool cleaning system quit working and needed to be repaired. I called Aqua Blue Pools since they were the highest rated contractor on Angie's List. Aqua Blue called and confirmed they would be out on a Friday and I informed them I would be away on business but they had my permission to go into the backyard and look at the system. I did tell them my wife may or may not be home as she had errands to run. I came home later in the evening and found a bill in the mailbox for $39.95 with a note stating 'Diagnose Paramount System'. On the following Monday I received a call from one of Aqua's Staff. She informed me that they did not find a leak on the cartridge filter and that the Paramount in-floor module would need to be rebuilt at a cost of around $440.00. She was very nice and professional and I told her I would think about it. I felt the price estimated was a bit rich. Instead of obtaining other quotes, I started researching online about Paramount In-Floor Systems and took the module housing apart which involved a simple loosening of a bolt and a screwdriver to remove the housing bracket. The part (module) on the inside was corroded and obviously worn out. I found the replacement part online for $165.00 shipped. When received I quickly popped the part in, replaced the housing, the bracket and tightened the bolt. Viola! It fixed the issue and my in-floor cleaning system works great now. All for $165 and 10 minutes of my time. In my opinion the job was not worth the estimated $440.00 and I'm not certain I understand why I was told the module needed to be 'rebuilt' when all that was needed was a replacement part. The fact that I was not there to meet the person representing Aqua Blue Pools was my fault entirely. I should have been there. The reasons? First, I know I have a a very slow leak in my cartridge filter since I have watched it repeatedly when changing out the filter. Second, when I removed the housing on the in-floor system the housing bracket was slightly rusted and looked like it had not been disturbed by someone previously removing it. I had to use a screwdriver and mallet to pop the bracket off. I didn't have to use those tools the second time I removed the housing to install the replacement part. I could be absolutely wrong but it made me think my estimate was a drive-by estimate for $39.95 and no one actually looked at anything since my wife and I weren't there. Overall I give them a "C". They were quick to set up a time to diagnose the issue and I felt the $39.95 was fair for a 'diagnosis'. The young lady on the phone was professional, bubbly and nice. For those they receive "A"s. But the quality of the 'diagnosis' was off and the estimate was way overpriced in my opinion; especially for what little work and time it took for me to fix the system. Disappointing overall.

[member name removed], I really wish you would have expressed your concerns to us over the the phone so that we could have explained things a little better since you were not home at the time of the equipment inspection. It does not surprise me that you were able to find the part on line for cheaper than we quoted. The price we quoted was a parts, tax, and labor quote even though the job doesn't take very long any professional pool person will charge a standard service call rate for labor. One huge problem that the pool industry is facing right now is these on line retailers that sell parts to 10's of thousands of people under suggested retail pricing. You will find that most of the pool equipment manufactures are cracking down on this and they are offering only 30 to 90 day warrantys on items that were purchased on the internet from unregestered dealers. I am sorry but no professional pool company in town can compete with on line pricing. When we explained that the module needed to be rebuilt yes it is the exact same thing that you did to it to fix it, you rebuilt it buy replacing the guts in the module this is just pool lingo per say. When trouble shooting a bad floor system module we do not need to take it apart to determine that it is bad, if the unit isn't switching zones its as simple as saying its a bad module. So you were correct when you suspected that we didn't take the module apart. As for the slow leak in the filter it may have only been leaking when there was high pressure in the system due to the floor system module being bad. I contacted this company for a quote on our pool. They said they would be here on a Thursday between 11-1pm. The next day after not seeing or hearing from them I called them and the young lady answering the phone said the gentleman that does the estimates was not in yet but I would get a call that afternoon-- I never heard from them.
