Aqua Blue Pools

We recently bought a house and were having problems keeping chlorine in the pool. A technician came out and went over our pool pump set up. He tested our water for quite a few different chemicals. He fixed the pump and also explained what I needed to do to keep the pool chemicals balanced. He was very friendly and professional. We will use them again.

We were happy using this company. Michael, the owner, came out for the estimate and was very helpful pointing out different things we could do. The tech who came to install the salt cell was on time and did a great job.

These guys are great, professional and honest. Obviously our pool motor quit on us, so I called the guy who installed it last time and he said he was eating lunch and would call me back. He never did. So I went on Angie's list again to find someone new. She helped me find a Veterinarian, a carpet cleaner, and a Locksmith, all with fantastic results. I contacted Mike Harding with Aqua Blue Pools and told him that I had a new motor coming from my son in Virginia, he's in the pool business up there and he wanted to send us this motor with the seals but I would have to find someone to put it in. Mike said no problem, and for me to call him when the motor came in. I did they came out the next day and everything went off without a hitch. Darryl came out exactly when he said he would and did a great job. I had called a couple of other companies but one of them wanted to charge me a flat rate to come out and the other was too expensive. These guys who are brothers by the way, completely understood about my son wanting to help us out.. I highly recommend them.

Every contact I have had with Aqua Blue has been professional. The owner Mike gave me exact instructions on how to clean my filter without charging me. When I decided it needed to be replaced they were prompt at providing a quote. Darryl did the installation. He did a great job of explaining how to take care of the filter. Scott was great about answering all of my questions, before and after installation. I highly recommend Aqua Blue for pool care and maintenance.

The installer did an excellent job. My time window was 9-10 and he was here exactly at 9. Took about 2 hours total. Everything was done neatly and was left clean when he was done. Also took time out to answer all my questions and better educate me on my setup as I inherited this pool when I purchased the house several years ago. The owner was very friendly when getting my estimate and also provided estimates on some future work that I want done i.e. replace pool light unit and pool resurfacing. Will be contacting them in the future!

wonderful. I now use them for my pool service. I had gotten an earlier estimate that was much higher. they did what they were supposed to do. I hired them to maintain my pool and they are very good. Any concerns are addressed immediately.

We are pool newbies (having recently moved down from Washington State) and the plunge pool at our condo was in really bad shape (broken filter, broken heater, dirty and grungy). Before we moved down, I contacted Scott and they came out and replaced the broken filter, emptied and cleaned the pool and added the chemicals. When we arrived it was sparkling and ready to use. After we were settled, Darryl came out and gave us a pool school, explaining how everything worked and what we needed to do to take care of it. He was great and answered all of our questions and explained everything clearly. In the fall, we had them replace the broken heat pump. The poor guys did all the work in the pouring rain and yet remained good-natured and professional throughout. Their work is always top notch, the prices are good and they are absolutely super guys to work with. It?s tough moving to a new community and it?s great to find people you can trust! I trust these guys and feel very glad to have found them!

The estimate they provided was fair and everything was fine until they said they would not be able to get the longer hoses that were necessary to drain the pool, despite giving the impression that they would. If they proceeded to drain the pool with the hoses they had, it would cause flooding in the neighbors' yards, which I wanted to avoid. I asked them for the estimate to be emailed to me and when I got it, I had some questions because there was a discrepancy from what in writing versus what was verbally quoted. (Although my name and address were on the email, it was and invoice for a someone else's past job, so I didn't notice it right away.) When I called with a question to see if he would honor the written quote (which was lower than the verbal quote and his mistake), Michael responded in a fairly disrespectful manner. Even though I did not insist that he honor it, I thought it would be fair to lower the price in some degree because of the hassle and misunderstanding that came about with this whole experience, but he was totally unwilling to negotiate the price. I I decided to look for someone else to do the job.

They arrived on time and did a really good job acid washing the pool and replaced the whole pump. Their price and service are excellent.They also came a couple of times after that to clean the pool at no extra charge.

We called Aqua-Blue Pools to remove our heater that was leaking copper into our pool causing staining. Scott was very nice, professional, and honest . The price to remove the heater, the cement base, and to change the pool light bulb and gasket was very good and included a $50.00 Angie's list coupon. I asked what it would cost to resurface the pool and he was very honest in telling me that it really didn't need to be done yet. I still wanted the estimate and it was also very reasonable. The workers that came to take away the heater and change the pool light & gasket were very nice and professional. I will definitely call Aqua-Blue when we're ready to resurface our pool!

Hard to get a hold of by phone (I guess they're busy) but were able to promptly respond to my request for repair and did a great job. Would have liked to have been notified the servicer was going to replace the sand filter seal; I was not aware of an issue.

They gave it a couple of treatments but it really didn't help that much. They came twice. He said he would change the filter and he didn't do that. They sent us a bill and I wrote on the invoice that they didn't change the filter and they never even called so we'll never use them again. The price was high for what we got. They never followed up on their mistake.

Excellent! The pool is beautiful, just beautiful. The work was done in a timely way. The workers were delightful. They knew what they were doing, were gracious, and came when they said they would come. They were professional in their behavior and when they were done, the place looked great. It was obvious that they enjoyed working together and that is always pleasant to be around. We found Michael on Angie's list. We called him because the company who had the most positive Angie's List referrals was too busy to do our pool in a timely way. We had company coming by August 1st and wanted the pool finished by then. While Aqua-Blue Pools has lots of positive comments on Angie's list, there was almost nothing from people who had had their pools resurfaced the way we needed to have done, so I was afraid to hire them to do that job. Michael said they actually did quite a bit of pool resurfacing too. When I asked for the names of some of his customers who had had similar work done, he gave me a list of six. Some had had their pool done recently, others last year. I called them all and everyone I talked to spoke so highly of the Aqua-Blue Pools Company that we decided to give them the job. We are glad we did. By the way, they also give a month of free pool service as part of the deal - just to make sure there are no problems. As you can see from other reviews, they do a great job at servicing pools. I'm here to say they are pleasant to deal with and do great at resurfacing pools too. Thanks Michael and Scott!

Called for quote on repairs to pool pump on 4/11/13. Price was competitive with other pool companies. Scheduled/replaced pool pump and inspected pool system. We would use them again...

Aqua Blue Pools transformed our old swimming pool into a wonderful oasis! When we bought our house on a short sale last summer, we did not know the condition of the pool equipment. After the swimming pool had been resurfaced, it turned out that this old pool equipment was leaking and not working well. I contacted Angie?s list and decided to go with Aqua Blue Pools. They installed a new filtration and salt system, and replaced the old pipes as well. I was very impressed at how they patiently persevered until they were able to able to unclog the skimmer pipe, which was full of leaves. They have been very helpful in helping me learn how to use the new equipment. Their prices are quite good and the quality of the work is second to none. That is one reason why I choose Angie?s list for referrals to providers who I can trust.

I am pleased and will continue to use their weekly pool service.

After seeing Aqua Blue Pools on Angie's List, I called them for and estimate to drain and clean up the pool. After describing the pool and telling them the scope of work that I needed done, they gave me an estimate over the phone and told me of available times they could do the work. They arrived on the job as agreed and completed the entire job in one day and started the water running to refill the pool. The work was done in a competent, friendly and professional manner and with all my questions answered as well. They called me 2 days later to check to see if the pool was full and then came and added the needed chemicals and checked to see that my pump and filter was operating properly (the filter needed assembly which they did for no extra charge) .The total bill was the exact amount of the estimate. I would definitely use this company again should the need arise.

Initial call to Michael to setup an appointment was excellent. They spent at least 20 minutes exploring my options and ensuring my needs were met. My last motor (Blue Horizons) was a rebuilt motor unbenownst to me and lasted only 14 months and of course out of waranty. Darryl arrived today and replaced the motor with a NEW out of the box motor. He was very professional and appears to have done a solid job. Looking to get my chemical/cleaning service handled by Aqua-Blue now as well.

Not completely repaired, however it was not due to lack of effort.

They have been great! They are punctual and preform the service so we don't have to worry about the pool. We just enjoy the sparkling water. Our prior service showed up sporadically and several times the pool turned green. When we started to see green staining on the walls, we changed to Aqua and all is BLUE again!

I have been using Aqua Blue Pools for over a year for their weekly pool service. While there have been minor hiccups in service as there are with most any regular service plans, the owners correct the issues promptly and are very courteous and it has always taken one phone call to be corrected..
