Description of Work: DJ got my AC going and was able to fix an existing problem that could have had major consequences. He was knowledgeable and explained everything to me; he did more than I expected, and I won't use any other service, from no on. I will recommend Northwood to friends and neighbors.

Description of Work: If you need help with your heating/cooling system, call Dave LaVangie of Northwoods. They come quickly, diagnose and explain any problems they find, and tell you the truth if what you need is a simple repair. They are good at complicated repairs, too!

Description of Work: Pleasant and professional man. I had an A/C /furnace check up and repair done. A month later tried to turn on the furnace to show a tenant and the furnace does not work. So I have called them to return. I haven't received a bill for repair so don't know how happy I am with that.

Description of Work: We were experiencing problems with small plastic particles being discharged during the heating cycle if our new HVAC unit. Dave responded promptly and got a rep from the manufactuer confirm the problem was a manufacturing defect and to order a replacement immediately. we were pleased with theprompt warranty service at no charge.

They did a good job and the air conditioner is working so far. I was not here most of the time they were doing the work. They came during the day when I was at work. The results are good so far. I have nothing to complain about at all.

+ -1 moreThey are great. They are very honest and they do great work. The company is run by a father and son and they are as honest as the day is long. They don?t try to sell you anything that you don?t need. They carry excellent equipment and they will give you a straight answer to your questions. They will sit down with you and tell you what you really need, what your options are, and what they recommend. Even if they could make more money by doing what you initially asked for, they make sure that you are making and educated decision and that you aren?t spending money foolishly. Because I have allergic reactions, they installed a high efficiency system that reduces allergens and uses a UV light to kill mold in the duct work. I got all of that because my rheumatologist suggested it and when I am here I don?t have any problems; it is like a safe zone. It is nice to have good and honest people to call. They used to do appliance repair and they don?t anymore, but they are quick to refer people who can help you. I am definitely going to use them in the future.
Description of Work: Northwood Cooling & Appliance last came out to replace my thermostat and to check my system and ducts.
