Martin’s returned my call from a voicemail I left on Sunday wining before 8 Am Monday morning. I got scheduled for a 9 Am-12 Pm slot. Richard arrived at 10 Am and was polite, friendly, and explained what he was doing & what he thought the problem was. He got a cost estimate & ok'd it with me before replacing the part. My fridge now works again. Overall, it was a great experience and I would use them again.

They came out within a day. The original service person said he thought the stacked washer and dryer would be a two-man job. The fellow who came with him knew how to install knew from a step stool. Hence, only a one-man job. Haven't discussed the fifty $ up charge for the extra person who wasn't needed, but I shall. Other than this charge everything went very well. I would definitely use them again. If anything negative arises from my questioning of charge call, I will report it here. They went over what the charges would be so carefully by phone, then they were exactly as they said--this company is careful and good at their business--I didn't catch that we should have rethought the charges. I'm not entirely sure what I think about them. They charged what I had already okayed--it's just that the job changed slightly.

He knew exactly what was the cause and quickly repaired it.

They reworked their service schedule so that they could see us the very same day that I sent the request! They were polite, helpful, and extremely responsive!

Tech arrived same day, knew exactly what the problem was and corrected it on the spot.

Martin's Family Appliances is the best in Gainesville--be sure you go to the Main Street Martin's, not the one on the west side. I don't even both with estimates for appliances or service from other appliance stores. When I need repairs or replacements I go straight to Martin's because I know they won't steer me wrong. When something breaks down, as all modern appliances do, they're responsive, helpful, professional and friendly. I've shopped with Martin's Family Appliance for over 30 years and have no complaints.

My dryer had been overheating for a couple months. It would dry the clothes but was always hot, even when not turned on. Was afraid to leave it plugged in when I was not home due to the constant heat. Was afraid of a short or fire hazard. Called Martins and the tech, Richard, came out with in two days. Cost of parts and service was way below the cost of replacing the dryer. Just left now after replacing the heater and fuse kit Was very professional and I was very pleased with the price and the way he did the work. Will use Martin's whenever I have an appliance problem.

He was able to diagnose my problem almost immediately, estimate the cost of a proper repair, and how long such a repair would last, then give us a temporary fix that would keep our food cold while we decide between buying a new one or repairing the faulty one. He also gave us tips for nursing this one along a little longer if we decide to go that route. It cost me more than I'd like, but not so much that I feel cheated. I will probably contact them again for future repairs.

We have used Martin Brother's appliance since we first encountered them. This time, as every time, they were prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and helped me learn how I could fix the problem when it reoccurs. These guys are great!

They did a fine job. They know appliances really well.

I went to several locations and no one could help me but Martins who still could not help me really tried to come up with a make shift plan, called around for parts but in the end I had to get a plumber to change the part out. However, I will use Martins again for DIY work

Found the company on Angie's List. Called and spoke to the owner, Chris Martin. He had a technician out the same day. The tech, Chris was able to diagnose the problem with the refrigerator as a failed heater that cause the unit to freeze up and not cool the refrigerator. I had him check the oven at the same time for temperature control as it was not registering the correct temp. He diagnosed the problem and had to order parts. The parts came in quickly and Chris, the owner, worked with my schedule to have both appliances repaired with one return trip. I found the tech, Chris, to be very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I am once again happy to have used Angie's List for the recommendation. M.A. Harris- Gainesville, FL

Our refrigerator and freezer weren't cooling. I called Martin's at noon. Travis took the model and serial number and said he he'd have someone out ASAP. Chris Martin arrived in a half hour or so, found the problem, put in the new part and was done in approx. 45 minutes having cleaned everything up. He explained clearly what was wrong and that his fix would be temporary--anything from 3 minutes to three years, but likely at least 3-6 months. We also took time to talk about various appliances and he did not try to sell me a new fridge at this time which I appreciated.

I called Martin Family Appliance with a bad knocking sound coming from my Whirlpool Duet washer during the spin cycle. It sounded like someone was inside with a hammer making all kinds of racket. I was afraid a motor or drum mount had broken. I spoke with Tommy who took my model and serial number down and offered to call me back. He called within 10 minutes and suspected my problem was a loose vent coupling in the top/left rear of the unit. He explained that I was outside their service area, but offered to walk me through a simple repair. He explained how to fix this, which I did and Voila', problem solved. Now he certainly didn't have to do this for me, I didn't purchase this washer from them, but I certainly appreciated his helpful and spot-on diagnosis and repair. I would have felt pretty stupid if a repairman had come out and performed this simple ten minute fix for who knows what repair cost. If and when I need new appliances, I will certainly call Martin Family Appliance, Gainesville first! Thanks again, Tommy

I made an appointment to have my fridge & drier looked at. Someone was out later that day, his name was Chris. He was very efficient & explained everything. He helped me pick a new refrigerator & fixed the squeaking drier. In the past they have also come to fix my stove. I will definitely call them first anytime I need appliances looked at.

Professional and smooth. Price was reasonable.

I awoke to my refrigerator not cooling on a Saturday morning. I called Martin Appliance and described the issue and the sound the appliance was making. The associate indicated he'd do some research and call me back. He did as promised very timely and sent a technician with the part. The technician was very prompt, courteous, and repaired the refrigerator while explaining what he was doing. He took time to vaccuum the area as well. I was very pleased with the whole experience.

I called a plumber because i thought the water heater was leaking, but it turned out to be the water dispenser in the refrigerator. I called Martin's and expcted them to take a couple days to come out. Instead, they were here within an hour, replaced the broken part, replaced some copper tubing, and were gone within a couple hours.

They are nice honest people and they do a great job

Arrived promptly and was pleasant. Fixed initial problem, but heard other issues and proceeded to repair and complete job in less than one hour.

My son was home when he came in, but doesn't remeber his name??? (teenagers). He took less than 30 minutes, left me the bill so I called to pay over the phone.

The initial visit diagnosed the problem & the part was ordered. Within 3 days, we were up & running. the tech was great, efficient, polite & friendly.
