About us

Discount Garage Doors has been serving 18 counties in Central Florida since 1998. We have 14 office employees and 29 technicians and installers. Our company was founded upon the principle of repairing garage doors properly for a fair price. Our reputation is well known in the areas we service, and more than 70% of our jobs are from referrals or repeat customers. We are family owned and operated, not a franchise or national company, which allows us to monitor closely the quality of our work. We use the absolute highest quality doors, operators, and repair parts, each one undergoing a strict quality assurance program. Our standard residential service call charge is $35.00, but we waive this for Angie's List members. In addition, we offer a 10% discount for jobs over $100.00 to members. We do not charge extra for after hours calls. Award winning service.

Description of Work: Workman was polite and knowledgeable. Was late for scheduled appointment but that was due to difficulty finding my home. Did the job and recommended additional work but did not pressure so I'll probably have that work done.

Description of Work: Very good. Brian was very personable and quite knowledgeable and honest. The techs that installed the garage door were punctual and efficient. Description of Work: The service technician arrived on time, performed the work, lubricated and inspected the garage door operation in a professional manner. The primary reason for the service call was the garage door counter spring had broken. We had this spring replaced by another provider less than two years prior to this contractor. | |As soon as I saw the new spring, I realized that this was a much better replacement. It has been two and a half years and the door is working perfectly. If we have any future garage door service requirements we will certainly call on Discount Garage Doors Inc. for that service.

Description of Work: Brian came and explained what he would be checking. He found 2 problems--End Bearing Plates and Neoprene Rollers. Each of them were installed with warranties. He also gave it a lube job. It runs much smoother with less noise than previously.

Description of Work: They are very good at everything. They have done work for me a couple of times. They have replaced springs and replaced the cables. I would probably use them again, but I may shop around for a lower price. Or I may forget shopping and go with the great guys at DGD. You pay for quality.
