The torsion spring on our garage door snapped during the night and the door was no longer functional. We called and they came out the same day. The tech that came out went over all the details of the job and gave me a full quote with several options. He had the repair done quickly and had us back up and running without any issues.

I contacted Discount Garage Doors through a special deal on Angie's list advertising garage door maintenance. The same day, I was contacted about scheduling the maintenance appointment. They came on the first day of my suggested dates. Brian was courteous and explained how the special deal works. He was efficient and informed me about the parts that needed replacing--2 end bearing plates and 10 neoprene rollers and the special rate I was charged. Both carry warranties. It was a pleasure hearing how much quieter and smoothly the door lifted after the repairs.

I purchased the deal on Sunday and they called me the same day to schedule an appointment. They came out the next day and the technician arrived early. He was very efficient and fast on the job.

The company responded quickly in setting up appointment and completing work. I purchased a $39 tune up and was not pressured to purchase any more. I was aware that I needed the weatherstrip replaced at the bottom of the door, so I did purchase that upon asking the tech if he had the part and could do it then. He was happy to do the repair at that time. The tech, Brian, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in educating about the door. I would absolutely use this company again and, in fact, have already recommended them to someone else. Thanks DGD!!!

Technician arrived on time, and promoted the upgrade to the existing rollers to make the door operate more smoothly. I agreed to the upgrade (approximately $100, I believe), and the new rollers were installed. Door still was sticking, so he adjusted the chain tension, but problem remained. Identified problem as failing bearings in the chain pulley at the garage wall, but did not have replacement available. Door sounded noisy and was still sticking when he left. Ordered a replacement pulley from Amazon and replaced it myself - door now works flawlessly.

They weren't able to do anything, because the garage door is too old.

has been a while- and I am not sure who gave us service for our blown out garage door mechanism- so not sure who it was- but how many garage door folks say they did work for you. I do remember that they got the job done well, seemed like a decent price which included some after the fact advice on why I shouldn't have tried fixing it myself.

Well, the guy was pleasant and personable. Offered to install "upgraded" package of rollers for additional money, which I declined. IT's now 9 month later, and the rollers are as loud as they were previously, if not more so. So, the intended fix did not occur. The door is extremely loud in opening or closing. It seems that the "deal" price was wasted.

Scheduling an appointment was easy and response was quick. The installer was professional and experienced. From time of call to installation was 2 days. The installer was very helpful helping me get my in car garage door opener programmed too. Would call them again with no hesitation.

They did a great job for us. Our garage doors have worked perfectly since they made the repairs. No sign of wear on the wheels and the doors are now very quiet. Very happy with them.

They spent an hour and found out that there was a problem with the electric eye. In the morning, it was facing the sun directly, which made it cloudy. The eye saw this as an obstruction and made the door go up and down. They took a piece of cardboard and wrapped it around the side of the eye, which solved the problem. They didn’t even charge me anything.

They were not able to work on the system I had, but they were fine to deal with over the phone. Their customer service was good and I was able to get to a person who could answer my questions.

They were fine. They were thorough, professional, and did a nice job. I have used them again since then, and I had a good experience with them.

The office was confused about the apt time and they called to confirm it 3 times! The worker was excellent and was on time and did a great job,

DVD will charge you $ 220 for a service call to reset the cable on your garage door. $ 35 for a service call and $ 185 for reseting the cable. DVD's competitors will charge between $ 75 and $ 85 for the very same service.

Very nice installer. Very knowlegable and professional. The office called multiple times however, because they didn't seem to communicate with the installer about the appointment time.
