Alufab USA Hurricane Protection

The scope of the work was too small (under $2000) however they directed me to another supplier who was able to install the requested shutter. Instead of just dismissing the inquiry they went above and beyond to provide me a contractor for the scope of the work.

Fine! Very professional. There were a few mishaps which were quickly corrected and very responsive.

Excellent job, on time and for a good price. The company went out of the way to handle my time constraints. Employees were very courteous and careful and did a superb clean up afterward . Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Mark Hoppe was great. He worked with our HOA, which isn't easy, through the approval process. The company gave us a reasonable timeline and installed our windows and doors close to schedule. Mark was in communication with us throughout the process and inspection. The windows look great and are high quality. This company provides a great product and service. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to replace their windows and doors. They provide great value to the customer!

I received a quote from Alufab for accordion style hurricane shutters. Their price was competitive but $300 more than our lowest quote for exactly the same product. On Angies List, Alufab had a coupon for Angies List Clients for 8% lower than the lowest quote received. When I called and asked about that coupon, the salesman did not know anything about it and said that he's pretty sure that they would not be able to honor that coupon. But to be positive, he would check with the owner. Well, 3 days later he never got back with me.

Great. Design required some creative thinking to give the look we wanted and give good hurricane protection. We had a good honest discussion with the company rep about what was possible and the best way to do the job. He was helping, not selling. Work was done on the time schedule promised. The installers cared that the work was done well with minimal disruption and the way we wanted. A few small adjustments were addressed promptly. The original project was completed in 2011. I have asked the company rep, Jack Lengel, to look at two other projects since then, in 2013 and 2016. He has consistently provided honest advice that was in my best interest. I trust both him and the company

Installation went very good with out an problems. The crew was very good after they were done they explained the operations of the Windows, & warranty. They left our home like they were never their.

Crew was prompt and very professional.They cleaned up the work area and took the time to explain how to use the product.

The installers, under the direction of George, the foreman on the job, were skilled, competent workmen. They arrived on time, worked efficiently and neatly and completed the installation in less than a half day. The electrical contractor E & Sons, also arrived on time and they too were exceptional. In 1-2 hours the shutters were wired and switches installed in the location I chose. I would be remiss if I didn't also commend the front office and in particular, Hugo and Suzanne for their assistance and cooperation in formulating a contract with which I felt comfortable. I will use Alufab again without hesitation in the next phase of the project.

Jack worked with me to come up with an economical solution, using metal panels where light and appearance were not critical. He used clear panels in rooms I used frequently, and shutters on an upstairs balcony where it would not have been possible to get back in after putting up panels - something that didn't occur to me. The 2 man installation crew was quick and neat, and explained in detail how to put the shutters up. They left plenty of extra nuts and plastic covers for the bolts.

I HAD AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE WITH THIS AMAZING COMPANY AND INSTALLERS JUSTIN M. AND LEVI N.!!! FROM THE MOMENT THESE 2 MEN CAME TO THE DOOR THEY WERE FRIENDLY, POSITIVE, POLITE AND HARD WORKING. THE END RESULT IS NOTHING BUT SPECTACULAR. THEY DID EVERYTHING TO MAKE US HAPPY WITH THE RESULT INCLUDING ADDING THE BLACK SHUTTERS AND CHANGING A LIGHT-BULB OUTSIDE! THEY NEVER STOPPED FOR A SECOND, EVEN THROUGH DRIVING RAIN! WONDERFUL EMPLOYEES AND COMPANY! I WILL USE THEM AGAIN , FOR SURE!

Alufab is known more for their hurricane protection shutters, blinds, etc., than impact replacement glass but I wanted to include them in my due diligence because I had previously worked with Mark Hoppe when he was with Storm Smart when I purchased hurricane roller blinds for a different piece of property. Mark is the absolute best salesperson....he is honest as the day is long, professional and willing to take as much time as one needs to have questions answered, estimates redone to work within your budget, etc. He is low-key yet thorough. He won't try to sell you something you can't afford or don't need. He is a really good resource when getting your estimates together for a project of this magnitude. My reason for going with a competitor for this project was simply a matter of quality and price. I felt I ended up with a product that was a bit better quality for about the same price. Buying windows is really confusing....and expensive. Do yourself a favor and include Alufab and Mark Hoppe in your gathering of bids.
