IT WENT GREAT. THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD. I ADDED AN EXTRA SHUTTER AS THEY WERE OFFERING BUY ONE GET ONE FREE ON THE MOTORS. ANOTHER SUPPLIER WANTED TO CHARGE THE SAME PRICE BUT ONLY HALF THE SHUTTERS WERE ELECTRIC AND THE OTHER HALF WERE ACCORDION STYLE

this CO WAS THE BEST PRICED AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB. my nieghbor AND MOTHER WENT TO THEM BY MY RECOMMENDATION AND ARE VERY PLEASED. tHE OTHER COMPANIES WERE AT LAST 1,500 TO 2,000 MORE ON QUOTES.

Alufab USA had already installed accordian shutters at nine villas in our subdivision. Three of us (3 villas in a row) decided to also go with Alufab USA. Alufab USA has a local showroom and factory. My wife and I visited the showroom, and requested a salesman. Salesman Jack Lengel called me, set up times to come out to provide quotes for each of the 3 villas, and made initial measurements. A day or so later another person came out to make more precise measurements. Then we had to wait several weeks because our subdivision requires approval from the builder's architecture review board before any exterior work can be don. Finally we got the OK from the builder/management group, and from that point forward the work proceeded quickly. A two-man work crew arrived 1 PM, installed 5 accordian shutters and two electric roll-up shutters (without electrical work), and finished by 4 PM - including vacuuming the areas involved. Both installers were very polite and worked efficiently. Electrical work was scheduled 2 days later (to accommodate my schedule). Two electricians snaked the wires, made connections, cut a hole for the two wall switches, wired the switches, exercised the roll-ups to see that they rolled down and up correctly, and noted in the circuit breaker box which breaker controlled the electric roll-ups. They also put a lock on the breaker as required for the electrical inspection. Alufab USA arranged for the inspections (mechanical and electrical), and the inspections were completed the following day. All in all, this was a very smooth operation. Ashley from the store called me several times to let me know when the installers were coming and when the electricians were coming. I recommend the Fort Myers Florida Alufab USA team for a job well-done.

The entire project was handled in a highly professional manner. We worked with Jack Lengel and would highly recommend the opportunity to work with him. He clearly explained the most cost effective options and solutions for our condo. The installation was timely and went very smooth.

Wanted to install 3 hurricane shutters. Was advised that the layout of my house was such as this protection was not necessary. What a refreshing experience to have an honest appraisal.

The company asked but didn't push for full payment before the municipal inspection. They did wait until the day before the approvals were obtained. The very disturbing problem wasn't discovered until everything was complete. The shutter is wide so an electric motor is required, but there is no manual way to lower it if the power is off. We had another company here for a quote before Alumufab, who stated there would be a crank also. We never thought to specifically ask Alumufab and they didn't make it clear that it is USELESS in an emergency! We have a Sunsetter Awning which is large on another house and it came standard with a manual crank. The shutter is nice and the color matches the house well. They came when promised and got all permits as needed. 4/2/13 I received several calls from the company after my review here. They offered to try to make the situation better by installing a battery back up system for a low price and they would provide all labor for free. Obviously they are trying to make us happy (and have us remove the bad review)! I do think they were responsive before the problem and maybe there was only a miscommunication. Their shutter looks good and matches the house well. They were prompt and cooperative. So I have raised their rating to"B" from "C". I chose not to have the backup battery system installed.

We interviewed about 8 hurricane shutter providers. Suggestions, options and prices were many and varied; from panels to fabrics to electric rolldowns. Prices ranged from a low of about $3500 to a high over $15K. Throughout the process Bill Curly at Alufab maintained regular but non-intrusive contact with us and never pressured us at any time. He wrote and re-wrote estimates as our concept for this project morphed to what we thought we wanted, always with a pleasant and professional attitude. Bill (Alufab) was competitive throughout. When we finally decided to use Alufab, Bill was prompt and professional. We always thought that we had made the right choice. We signed the contract and then something unexpected happened. Bill called the next day to say that Alufab had another project near our home and if it was alright with us they could schedule installation at the same time in about 10 days. We said fine; we were happy to have it completed promptly. Then a day or so later we got a call from David, at the office, asking if he could schedule installation the next day as they had some excess material from another job and our shutters were already manufactured. We were a little suspicious but agreed. The crew of two arrived promptly the next morning and began the installation. Part way through there was a problem with one window (this window in our house had a problem from the start because the roofline intersected the decorative window surround; this was a problem issue with every other provider as well). Bill and I had devised a solution for this window, but the material had been cut incorrectly. The crew called in to Alufab who immediately manufactured a replacement (to meet our specification) and had it delivered to the site hours later. When the replacement arrived it was noticeably longer than the other shutters. The installation crew disassembled the shutter assembly on the spot and cut it to the correct size, re-assembled and installed the shutter. Because of the configuration of our home there were two other openings that needed special attention. They were dealt with directly and without compaint or hesitation by the crew. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the entire staff at Alufab and the quality of the product and installation. Also, Alufab came in with the most competitive bid (over a thousand dollars below their closest competitior). The installation passed code inspection without a hitch the next morning. So from signing to code inspection, the whole process took less than 4 days. Really amazing! If you're serious about getting a quality job at a very good price, make sure you call Bill Curley at Alufab and get a quote from this terrific company.

. I had interviewed other companies then found Alufab USA on Angies list. Gary was professional, answered all of my questions and even invited me to their place of business where they make the shutters They came out, gave me their price and we then had the shutters installed.

We were so happy with the job that they did on our roll down shutters on the lanai that we got an estimate for the windows and sliders. They had the best price by far. We were pressed for time as we were leaving the area for a month and wanted the impact windows installed before we left. Due to the short time they worked with the window manufacturer to get the impact windows as soon as possible. There were a few scheduling hiccups because of the short lead time but they kept us informed. The windows were installed before the season started and we were able to relax on our trip. The sliders were installed after our return. There was no rush as the sliders were already protected by the roll down shutters that were already installed by ALUFab earlier. Everything looks great and even the inspector commented on what a nice job they had done with the caulking. The installers were vey nice and polite. We are extremely happy with both jobs that they did for us and would highly recommend them.

Job was done on time, for the estimate price which was the lowest we found and was professionally done. We were so happy we had them install impact windows. We highly recommend them.

The original estimator took care to answer all of our questions and concerns. The installation was done on time and they did an excellent job. They left a clean job site and a happy customer. We were happy with the price, the quality and the workmanship of their employees. We would use them again, and would recommend them to others.

The shutters we had no problem with. The windows became a mjaor issue. A two day job become a 3 week job. The employees are nice and tried but this job was just out of there league. Employees did not take care to protect our property from damage. They just needed to be more careful around the property. Had to bring in another group to finish the job who did a great job.

They are a good company, the shutters are really good ones, their workers were really good and their prices were good.

Overall--owner has ignored my requests for a proposal to replace windows in my house. Needless to say, this experience has been puzzling.

They did a great job. I wasn t present for the actual installation, but I did pick the shutters up at the store, and they were great there. They took care of the permitting and everything. They had them ready to go exactly when they said they would. I was told that they were very helpful with the instructions during the installation.
