We decided to replace our 12-year old system during the winter rather than waiting for it to break down on a hot summer day. We got estimates from three different companies for, essentially, the same amount of work and modification to our existing system. Sunset was not the least expensive, however Ryan presented himself so professionally and friendly that both my wife and I decided to have Sunset do the replacement. Another deciding factor was the complete information that Ryan provided and the number of options that he gave us. On the scheduled day Marshall and Mark showed up a few minutes early and immediately got to work in the garage. Several hours later the indoor work was completed and it was time to replace the compressor. It had been raining profusely the entire day and the ground was soft and muddy. I'm not sure how they did it but they were able to get the compressor moved on their hand truck and set in place. (The hand truck did sink into the ground a couple of times but they, magically, still got it moved.) Once the job was completed, they left the garage spotless. A week later I had Sunset come out to check my pool heater. Once the technician was done, he said he wanted to re-check the A/C to make sure it was operating properly. He made a coupe of adjustments and told us that Ryan had asked him to check the system since he was there anyway. The only charge was the service call for the pool heater. Sunset did a great job at a reasonable price and I would not hesitate to call them in the future.

Kasey called and arrived on time. He listened to our problem, was very knowledgeable, and took appropriate action to correct the problem. He was very courteous , kept the work area clean and completed the work in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the over-all outcome. We would highly recommend Sunset Air & Home Services.

After posting my situation on Angie's List, Sunset Air immediately contacted me to follow-up on the posting. Sunset air proposed to replace the existing coil or discount the cost of the coil on a new system. My system was close to 9 years old, and It made more sense to me to replace the system, and the new installation went very well. The new system has a 12 year parts warranty, and 1 year labor warranty. The installation team explained the importance of yearly maintenance in order to keep the warranty in effect. I am very impressed with Sunset Air's commitment to their reputation, and service, and would recommend them for your work.

Sunset Air installed our new A/C a year ago and I could not be more pleased with the service they provided. Ryan Lane and everyone I have dealt with at Sunset Air has been outstanding. No high pressure sale tactics -- they just provided information and let the customer decide.

The technicians Dave and his partner were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They were explain things as they went alkng. They went a over and beyond what we expected, and left the area clean when done. They wore shoe covers whenever they came in the house. A great company with great employees.

Everything went well, any questions that we had regarding the care of the unit were answered. Asked about filters, flushing of the line any other maintenance information that would help keep the unit running properly. We were advised to make our next appointment as soon as we knew of a date because times can get filled up quickly.

The installation went well but the installers made one mistake which resulted in one pipe connection being loose resulting in the cooling agent leaking out and the system shutting down one day after the installation. The following morning a technician came out and fixed the problem and the system is working fine.

Ryan Lane came to our home and was very professional and thorough with providing good suggestions in installing a new AC system. The company provided a detailed quote with several options of different AC systems that would fit our needs. We will definitely use Sunset Air for our future install.

iMy A/C quit cooling and I looked on Angies List and found a company with a high rating and lots of favorable reviews. Called them and they came the same day. They found that the unit had frozen up and the motor was not working. They didn't have the part in stock but were able to get it and install it the next day. I was very impressed with their work and scheduled a general service. The scheduler told me about a special they had on Angies that would save me money. I purchased it online and when they came to do the service, it was paid in full. Will definitely use them in the future.

They are very courteous wear shoe covers when they enter your house. They have always given good tips as to how to get the most out of your air conditioner. We are very pleased

They have made recommendations for our HVAC system. Others had quoted for us to have our whole system replaced but Sunset gave us a very logical and cost effective solution at much less cost. We have used several other service providers over the years and none of them have made us as happy as Sunset Air. Great company with great people.

I am extremely please with the service. The technician arrived on time. He was very professional and appeared knowledgeable. Unlike providers that we have used in the past, there wasn't any attempt to up-sell. I will definitely use this company again and have already recommended their services to one of my neighbors.

Al was very professional and went right to work. He explained what he was doing and provided analytical data via email as baseline for future comparisons in evaluating our AC system's performance. The service agreement provides for 2 semi- annual cleanings and system checks. I was very pleased with the service and will definitely continue with Sunset Air.

veryOur air conditioner was down completely and they got us worked in as soon as possible. They brought us a portable unit to help cool our condo until they were able to put in the new unit.(it was in the high 80's to around 90). Everyone involved was friendly and very professional. Al at Sunset Air & Home Services, Inc. performed everything involved under the standard maintenance program. This was the second of the semi annual inspection service. He was professional and went over his list with us which included: Checking: Fan and Electrical connections and contacts Clean eval Coil Drain Line Drain pan metering device Suction and head pressure cleaned coil checked fan condition connections and contacts .flushed/treated drain line and added pan tab, cleaned coils, Checked heating, tested A/C I would definitely recommend them.

My AC system was not working due to low refrigerant in a 5 ton AC system. The technician poured 2 buckets of water on the compressor to cool it down. The charge was $107. He then added 10lbs of R22 refrigerant. The charge was $687. 30lbs of R22 sells for $350 at the market. The markup here is more than 6 times of the market cost. My dissatisfaction lies in the fact that I was asked to agree to the unit price of refrigerant and the recharging service without knowing ahead of time how much of the refrigerant will be used and what the ultimate charge will be. Sunset can charge a customer what it deems reasonable but not providing an estimate of total cost is not reasonable. The total charge for the repair came to $889 for adding refrigerant to the system. Had I known the cost ahead of the time, I might have used different vendor or requested different services.

How did it go ? Excellent ! From making the appointment to the serviceman arriving on time. After using them for over eight years, I can tell you to call Sunset. Ask for Al Viera to be your serviceman, and rest assured your service will be done right

Our air conditioner kept shutting down because water kept filling the overflow pan and triggering the auto shut off switch. He cleaned all the slime and gunk out of the water drainage portion of the air handler and cleared the drainage pipes. He also gave me some helpful tips on how to prevent the drainage pipes from clogging up.

It went well. Service personnel described what he was doing. Performed PMA 1 of 2. Checked pressures and amp draw, vacuumed, flushed and treated condensate drain line and pan, applied evaporator coil cleaner, rinsed condenser coil and changed air filter. System operational 20 TD.

Service technician (Casey) was very punctual, courteous and professional. Performed all services. Previous technician (Tom) also was also very courteous and professional. Both were a pleasure to work with.
