SUNSET AIR AND HOME SERVICES INC

I am a remote landlord and my tenant reported that the home was not cooling. I called Sunset Air to diagnose the issue. They charged me $115 to come out and perform a check on the machine, after which they declared nothing wrong. 25 days later, my tenant vacated and we had a new tenant occupy the home. I was sent a picture of the filter condition, which is seen here. It is very obvious that the previous tenant hadn't changed the filters in month on months. The filters were in atrocious shape. I called to ask why the service personnel hadn't done the bare minimum diagnostic of verifying air flow inside, and was given a whole host of excuses such as "it was raining" and the representative literally laughed at me several times. After pointing out that he was repeatedly trying to change the subject, the rep got noticeably upset with me, and began raising his tone. He declared angrily that he was going to refund the service charge (I didn't ask for that, instead just seeking acknowledgement that the filter check should have been done) and that he was going to note the account to prevent Sunset from ever servicing the property again. The unprofessional behavior from this "service" company is completely appalling. I would rather seek service from people who have respect for their customers.

They showed up on-time, were neat, did a good job and it only took them five hours.

Called Sunset Air on a weekend, and they came right out and fixed our unit. Very quick and professional. We were so impressed that we signed up for the two year maintenance plan with them. They showed up in their scheduled time slot, and charged a reasonable rate. They also finished the maintenance in a reasonable time period. Very impressed. We are very happy with them, and their quick and efficient service. Thank you!

They were incredibly nice, prompt, and surprisingly inexpensive.

We had them service our unit, they had recommended to replace the unit and at that time we were not in a position to spend the money. My mother for our Christmas gift of that year had the company she uses install one as a surprise for us. When we needed servicing we were going back to them as we've used them in the past and were told because she didn't get it through them they were not interested in servicing.

Tyler E. show up at my home at the designated time. He quickly diagnosed my issue and quoted me a fair price to repair the problem and 30 minutes after I agreed to the price my air conditioner was up and running once again. I have used this company once before and what I like about them is they are there to FIX your problem. They never try to sell you a new unit if you don't need it.. Granted if you did need a new one they are there to give you a fair price and quality work if needed.

Got to the point of needing to replace my old A/C unit. Lucky enough to get an additional 2 years thanks to these guys' service/maintenance since 2017, but the time for a new unit was finally here. That said, they installed a Trane unit and ran three new ducts/vents to provide air into my enclosed lanai/sun room w/ 28 feet of windows. They increased from the current 3 ton unit to 3.5 ton/16 SEER one and it works fantastic! Was able to remove the window unit used in the sun room and it, along with the rest of the house stays so much cooler with significantly less humidity than before. All this with no increase in the electric bill. As always, these guys do a fantastic job! Single day install. Highly recommended!

The crew showed up on time and were very professional. This was a huge job they had to relocate both the compressor and the air handler. The old system was replaced with a Trane hi efficiency unit. They also replaced the ductwork and all the grills. The system is quiet and the humidity and FPL Bill dropped dramatically. We are very pleased with their service. Another great contractor that we found on Angie's List.

Superior service from estimate to installation. High efficiency Trane installed. Compressor and air handler relocated, new duct and grills included. Crew was friendly and professional and cleaned as they worked. We are very pleased with the system, quiet inside and out. We cannot hear it running. The humidity dropped immediately and our allergies improved. Our FPL bill dropped dramatically. We highly recommend them as another great contractor we found with Angies List.

Ryan came out and spent over an hour gathering requirements and thoughts on installing a new AC unit and ducting in our house. That was Tuesday and he said he would work on it that afternoon. I sent an email follow up on Thursday and called the office on Friday. No response. Two weeks later, no response. We called again today and Ryan "just picked up another call" when we called. I'm not sure what happened since our initial conversations seemed great and Ryan said he enjoyed working on challenging projects. But I won't use or recommend this company in the future based on this very unprofessional behavior.

Great. The prices were excellent, as was the selection of units appropriate for our needs. Installation was efficient and the workmen were courteous and neat. We had an issue 2 months after installation that should not have come up if the work had been performed correctly at installation, but the company handled it with no additional cost to us and performed the work over the weekend to correct it.

These guys are fantastic! Around 7:15 PM I noticed the house was getting warm and went outside to find the condenser unit not running. Called Sunset Air and Home Services and got an immediate response. Technician was dispatched and arrived within the hour. He identified the problem was due to a minor wiring issue. The 24 volt wire burned out at the condenser. It was replaced and unit was up and running by 8:30 PM. I now have cool air again thanks to these guys! Prompt, professional, and did not cost a lot. A+ service!

Absolutely the very best experience I've ever had with an air conditioning company. They were very professional, honest, and did not use any high-pressure tricks like many other companies do. I've always been worried about AC companies, due to experiences in the past, but now I am very pleased to know that I will definitely be using Sunset Air from now on. They replaced our entire 3.5-ton air conditioning unit and the installation crew were extremely professional and were a pleasure to deal with. The price was great, and they were finished in less than six hours! Just perfect in every way. Steven was just fantastic in assisting us througout the entire process. I cannot possibly be more pleased.

Outstanding work, very professional. They installed all new everything, including new white grills inside. We couldn’t be happier with their work. The price was in the middle of the half dozen estimates we got. Superior company!

Very impressed with this company. I've had other companies do this service and there always seem to be an up-sell pitch. This company did NOT do that. Which was refreshing... no BS. They did a thourgh job and explained everything. Will use them again.

Very professional manner, responsive from first call to KayLynn to inquire about service agreement, follow up email with contract, follow up email confirming date/time, call from Adam that he was 15 minutes away, thorough inspection of system and discussion of our concerns.

They were there on time, put in the units and cleaned as they went. Rain forstaled the completion of the job but they finished it the same day!

Great, had a return call within 15 minutes and a tradesman dispatched within an hour. Casey, was professional, courteous and well prepared. He identified the problem within 5 mins and had the system checked, problem rectified and up and running again within an hour. Great work and would definitely use again.
