They diagnosed why the air conditioner wasn't running and replaced a 1/2 HP motor module, which fixed the problem.

They did a great job. It was very hot( in the 90's) when the air conditioning stopped working. It wa a week-end. Sunset Air immediately came to our home and installed a temporary system for the week-end until Monday when they were there early in the morning to install the new system. We highly recommend Sunset Air.

The guy was really, really helpful and referred me to a company that makes custom filters. I haven’t had a single issue since their service and getting the custom filters. He was here for a good hour and he went above and beyond for me. He did an inspection on my other unit to give me extra pointers. It was a very pleasant experience.

They are absolutely super! Nothing has ever gone wrong under their care. They are timely and answer all my questions. I have never used another company. When I had the county inspect, they said I had a great piece of equipment for a great price. I did shop around and had other companies undercut them, but none with the same quality of service. I feel that I am getting a really good deal for the quality of service and product and the company’s responsiveness. I am very satisfied.

CALLED TO CONFIRM APPOINTMENT TIME, CALLED AGAIN AS HE NEARED OUR HOME(ARRIVED ON TIME) PERFORMED MAINTENANCE, WROTE RECORD OF WHAT WAS DONE , AMOUNT OWED, AND MARKED INVOICE PAID, AND GAVE ME A COPY FOR MY RECORDS. THEIR SERVICE PERSONS ARE ALWAYS VERY PROFESSIONAL. WE HAVE USED SUNSET AIR INC. FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND PLAN TO CONTINUE USING THEIR SERVICE.

I like their technician Tom. He is best guy! He is the most experienced. He is very good about telling me the true condition of my compressor and air handler. He is very accurate and honest.

They are a really good company! They are very friendly and efficient. The service people are easy to work with.

It is okay. At this point, they have done everything to rectify the situation. Most of the service representatives are not very good. I did find one that I like and I request him.

Two year old house and AC system which had been installed by Sunset Air. The house had not been lived in for two years when we purchased it. We called Sunset Air because the humidity in the house was over 60% (kitchen doors were sticking, some furniture drawers/cabinets were sticking, tile floors felt tacky/damp, and in two places brand new engineered hardwood floors which we recently had installed were bumping up). Problems were solved with two visits. Sunset Air tech, Brian, at the first visit, installed a new digital thermometer (per our request) so we can easily check humidity. We purchased the service contract at this visit (so there was no specific 'visit' charge). This 2 year old air conditioning system needed some tweaking. Brian put in a tad of refrigerant, installed the new thermostat and cleaned filter and serviced the system. When Brian was cleaning the system I wanted to see what the 'inside' black filter looked like, Brian, showed me the internal black filter with built up green stuff.. and I asked if that was something I should be cleaning. Brian said it takes special cleaning and mentioned that if at some point we wanted to install a UV light cleaner that this would prevent this build up. After Brian left, the humidity was better but still not under 60%. I called Sunset and they sent out Ryan. Ryan did a bit of sealing around the system in the garage and advised me that I needed to keep the AC Fan on 'AUTO' not 'ON' all the time. My leaving the AC on 'ON' and with the system located in the garage.. meant the system was pulling hot damp air into to the AC system all the time... hence contributing to high humidity. Now keeping the AC FAN on 'AUTO' did the trick and has seriously reduced humidity in our home. At the second visit, Ryan, also installed the UV light cleaner. Humidity now in the house is 47 to 52%. Wonderful. The tile floors felt dry within a day and after about three weeks the wood floors are back to normal, cabinets and doors are not sticking. YEA!

Sunset Air sent a technician out and proceeded to diagnose the problem. After checking the amperage draw on the compressor (I will get to this in a minute), he quickly told my wife that the compressor was going bad and we needed it replaced. He then proceeded to recommend we consider just replacing the entire system as it was ALREADY 7 years old! Something smelled fishy so I had my wife call an "A" rated A/C company I found on Angie's List. They promptly discovered that the hard start and the start capacitor were bad and promptly replaced them. A/C has been working great ever since. Cost to repair from the "A" rated company $350. Cost to replace the compressor if we had listened to Sunset Air....$2000 plus! Now about that amperage draw. It pays to watch the technicians who are doing work at your house. My wife, who used to be married to a master electrician, watched the technician from Sunset Air test the compressor amperage draw, he quickly pointed out to her on his test meter how it was drawing way more amps then it should be, indicating it was going bad (the other company stated that compressors either work or they don't, there is no in between). Well this would have been the case if the technician was checking JUST the compressor amp draw. When the "A" rated companies technician arrived my wife pointed out to the technician the wire that the Sunset Air technician used to check the amp draw on the compressor; he laughed and stated "Of course you will get a high amp draw using that wire, that is for both the compressor AND the fan!" Needless to say, I have a new A/C company and I will no longer be using Sunset Air.

Technician was punctual courteous and explained everything he was doing and why..He went above and beyond in his service. I have used Sunset Air ever since I moved in my house seven years ago and would highly reccomend them for all your service needs. The price I paid is for a one year service agreement...they will be back in 6 months do service it again!! You will be glad you choose Sunset Air !!!

Everything went perfectly. They tuned the AC/Heating system and changed the filters where needed. Love these guys!

Robert Johnson came to our house to give an estimate for replacing our heating and air conditioning system. He attempted to get into our attic, but it has poor access and he was unable to do so. Based on my knowledge of our ductwork, he made recommendations for changes. He also recommended increasing our system to 4 tons from it's current 3.5 ton. He was 1 of 2 out of 4 interviewed that did a load calculation and made that recommendation. He was very personable and knowledgeable. I believe his company would have done a fine job, but ultimately chose another contractor. His pricing, along with another contractor, was in the middle of the range of costs I received.

This technician did nothing wrong as far as I am concerned. I have lived in Florida for 35 years, so I am very familiar with A/C and different problems that occur. I have used this company before and that experience was "Perfect" as well. I would like to share this with others in the area because I have read about SCAM artists in A/C. HERE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW !!! They just offer a Low Price, which attacts some customers, but their work is SUBSTANDARD or JUST HORRIBLE AT BEST!! Sunset Air also has a very efficient and friendly office staff. Scheduling and Billing are always handled with "no probelm". Thank you for this opportunity. Susan McGrain

Technician arrived on time, was courteous and professional. Gave us several options and prices for thermostats. New high tech thermostat was installed (we love it!), tech also serviced our A/C unit.

They have very nice servicemen. I had a problem after the new AC was installed and they came and fixed it.

I was most pleased. They were there on time and did a nice job for a reasonable price.

Got quotes from Robert for replacement systems, as well as quotes for replacement ductwork, added cold air return, and attic insulation. We are proceeding with ductwork, cold air return, and insulation to improve airflow and system efficiency in home. Their approach to HVAC is very holistic, not just sell you a new compressor/air handler

They did a good job with their service. They were okay but we did not like the idea of them installing an air conditioner that would go after five or six years. We used another service provider in the year 2009 and then we went back to Sunset Air Conditioning And Heating because we had a three years generator service coming but we would be going back to our previous service provider as they were very reasonably priced and they would service your generator twice a year if you have an in-ground generator. Also because they do a good job in checking your filters and checking everything in your generator. However, for heating and air conditioning, we have not yet decided if we would continue with Sunset Air Conditioning And Heating or not. It depends on the air conditioner that they have put in. They have put in an air cleaner in our home which we are very satisfied with. We have a contract with them with two service calls a year where in they would come in and virtually check everything that we have. We are extremely satisfied with them for the most part but we are a little dissatisfied with them because our air conditioner is going after five or six years but in Florida, you can expect something like that. They are very reasonably priced.

Solid service from Sunset both before and after the call. Sunset was able to get the warranty Evaporator Coil that my original A/C company couldn't. They were able to fit the service call during my Christmas/ New Years break as I requested. They arrived on time. They tried to verify the evaporator coil leak that another A/C company said existed but they found no leak existed in the attic as the original company claimed. I appreciate the honesty when they couldn't verify the attic leak of the evaporator coil They proceeded to look eleswhere and found a small leak outside at the condensor coil king valve cap. They repaired the leak and charged me only for the service call and leak test for 190 instead of the quoted 500 to change the coil. I wish I had called them the first time so I could have gotten the job done right the first time in one service call.. They were flexible and focused on solving the problem at the true leak location instead of just changing the evaporator coil when the scope of the work changed. Will definitely use them next time I need A/C service.

Owner of the company came out and explained all that was going to be done. He took th time to answer all questions I might have. He checked over the system and asked if I had had any problem areas with either keeping cool or warm. He checked them out. did what service was not done originally. I checked with a friend from out of state who is in the same business. He told me that while he could not tell me who to go to, he would certainly want that man working for him because he was interested in the customer. Very prompt, clean and thorough.
