Saw the good reviews on Angie's list for boat maintenance and detailing. My boat needed cleaning and polishing badly. Called and was promptly met that afternoon for his free estimate. They actually polished a square yard of the boat to show what it would look like. We scheduled for the following Saturday. They also explained many of the services they provide including deck washing while they are there, weekly boat servicing when out of town, besides any and all boat maintenance at your dock. They actually came on Friday but finished up late Saturday afternoon. These guys worked HARD in the sun for a day and a half. Price never changed and they did and excellent job. Will definitely call for any and all dockside services.

This repair went well. My previous experience was somewhat alarming. He made the repair them started to check the engine over. At that time he said I needed a new engine. The cost would be over $6,000.00. I had my doubts. I made a few calls and the bottom line is I fixed the problem myself for less than $200.00 in materials. I said to Jose', ":Anyone can fix an engine problem by replacing the engine. I needed someone to diagnose and tell me what the problem is!" He wasn't happy with me.

He is professional and timely, and most importantly, honest. He always cleans the boat when he gives it back. Its top notch service at a reasonable price. I recommend him to everyone I know that has a boat. In my previous boat he re did all my seat cushions, which is a lot on a deck boat, changed gauges, and much more.

Scrubbed, power-washed, polished our boat... inside, outside and the cushions. Even peeled off the old inspection sticker and put on the new one. It's awkward to reach but he did it with a smile. Nice, polite, efficient crew.

Living in P**** Gorda for 12 years I have struggled to fnd a reliable, trustworthy, reasonably priced marine mechanic to look after my Volvo Penta gas engines. Spotting good reviews on Angies list i got him down to do a detail to my boat on the lift, and see if I felt i could trust him to do mechanical work on my boat. Most detailers cannot do a good job on a lift. no problem here- he has a big float and after 5 hours my 5 year old boat looked like it was just out of the showroom. Not cheap but a great job. On this basis i decided to trust him to do relatively major work of new risers, manifolds, + 100 hr service and outdrive removal on my Volvo 5.7GXI. Again, most marine mechanics will not remove an outdrive on the lift. Jose can do EVERYTHING on the lift. Detail, service, outdrive removal. No one else can. Saves removing boat from water, trailering etc. Great job, evrerything done i asked for. Competant. A couple of hiccups were overcome quickly.It all would have been done in one day but for a problem caused by the last mechanic who workred on the boat. All in all very happy.Will use him again next year! After 12 years I have finally found a decent boat mechanic.!

I don't know what others are talking about with all of the great reviews. This guy diagnosed the leaking fitting as a bad pump. After I insisted he look at the leaking fitting which he insisted did not use and quot;Oand quot; rings he grudgingly tried one I provided which fixed the leak fine. I had hoped by calling a and quot;professionaland quot; he would know the exact size required, instead I guessed at the size and had to convince him to try it. Diagnosed the tilt/trim solenoid clicking as a bad solenoid rather than a weak battery. Broke the wiring to the solenoid and didn't fix it, saying he would be back with a solenoid later. (I charged the battery and fixed the wiring, it works fine). He did fix the bilge pump wiring. His bill started at $75.00 then he asked for 90 then 100. He got 90 and since he broke more than he fixed I think that is a rip off. In my opinion he hasn't got a clue and is making up problems to justify high charges. Check out his add, not bonded, not insured and I am guessing never trained by any of the major marine companies. Use at your own risk but if you do ask detailed questions when it doesn't seem to make sense. OBTW I am a retired mechanical engineer who just retired from Newport News Shipbuilding in Virginia.

My husband contacted Jose to add our registration numbers to our new boat. We didn't trust ourselves to line them up straight and wanted a professional look. He also wanted an aluminum prop instead of the stainless steel one that came on the vessel. Since the waters are so shallow in this area, an aluminum prop is more forgiving on an outboard than a stainless steel one and will limit damage if you run aground. While here, we had a further discussion about the fuel line. During Jose's first visit, he identified a potential issue with how the manufacturer had installed it. He suggested it be moved for better accessibility and put better clamps on it, explaining the reason for the move. We agreed to it and he completed this within minutes. While he was doing the work, we found out that a sprinkler head had been broken by the landscaper on our lawn. Jose stopped what he was doing and actually fixed it for us! Wow! Now that is what I call a full service attitude! Jose measured the propeller and purchased a new aluminum one for us. He installed it on his next visit. Our bill was very reasonable.

Jose did everything that needed to be done. He was efficient and knowledgable. He had all the important parts in his truck. There were a couple that he did not have but these were for non-essential things (e.g., upgrading my water filters to a better kind ... he only had one and my boat has two). Lastly, Jose and his assistant really cleaned up after themselves. They scrubbed the deck with two different brushes to make sure it was really clean. Without a doubt, this is the company to do business with.

Jose was fantastic. We are new to boating and had just purchased our new boat. We contacted him and he immediately came out to discuss our needs. We originally called him due to damage that occurred during delivery to the gel coat. He noted additional damage to the graphics from the boat trailer. We asked him about GPS's and he discussed several with us. He recommended we visit the local Marine store to decide. He came back in a few days to repair the gel coat and we told him which GPS we wanted. He purchased it and installed it the next day. (We reimbursed him for the GPS based on the sales receipt) He consulted with us how we wanted the mount prior to starting. During our discussions, he also recommended cleaning products, told us of his detailing services and inspected our bilge. While doing this, he found a BIG leak in our Live Well line, turned the Live Well off so the boat wouldn't sink, and told us to contact the dealer for warranty work. We are in the process of doing so. He also noted an observation with the fuel line that we have elevated to the dealer as well. Jose is a former mechanic at the local certified dealership and has a vast knowledge about boats in general. He is willing to do anything or recommend a solution if he feels something else would be beneficial. He was open to share recommendations, such as cleaning supplies with us. He has a broad range of services and we plan to be regular customers of his.

Jose had done an excellent job on a small outboard for me, so I gave him a much larger project working on our 22 Regal. We like the boat and wanted to bring it to as good as new as we could. Jose knows his business, and has the engine purring like a kitten. His detail work is excellent as well. We now use Jose for all of our gasoline engine boating maintenance, repair and detail.

In about 15 minutes hour they had diagnosed the problem as a fouled carburetor. Less than half an hour later they had the carburetor extracted, disassembled, cleaned and reinstalled. My tender motor runs like a top now. I was so impressed I invited them back to work on one of my other boats. I appreciated fast, quality work at a fair price. They're my guys now.

Found Jose on angies list and called him on a Saturday morning. Jose responded that morning and I told him I just bought the boat and it was surveyed before the purchase and a few minor repairs needed to be done. As we went to the dock he pointed out that the boat right next to mine was a customer of his. He gave me estimates on all the repairs and we agreed he would come back on Tuesday. I then contacted the boat owner who had Jose work on his boat. He said the Jose was excellent, a hard worker, honest and he would recommend him without hesitation. Jose is coming back to finish the other minor repairs and I will have him detail the boat, wash, compound, and wax. Jose reminds me of a surgeon with his helper as the operating room nurse. Jose works and his helper hands him the tools he needs to make repairs without asking. A very efficient use of Jose's time. Jose also has no problem with you watching over his shoulder and he explains what he is looking for and what is right and wrong as he goes about his diagnoses of the problem.

I had a boat with so many problems going on at one time i was overwhelmed. I grunted and pointed at the stuff and told him and he fixed it. he has a great deal of electrical knowledge, uses meters to test connections and wires. The amount of work they were able to to is just to much to list 2 pages of invoice and well worth the money i spent.

Instead of going into great detail because the experience that I just had with a well known dealer still hurts and my pocket also. When I got my boat back after a month and a lot of stories the boat engine was still not right. I was going to call him back listen to another story and a large bill and another wait time. I finally listened to my wife and went on to Angie's list. The first name I came across that stood out was Jose's Mobile Marine. I gave him a call to my surprise he was here in 15 minutes. I explained the problem to him. He went right to the source and fixed it. He also found that there was a missing bolt in the top cover on the engine and a wrong pin on the throttle cable. He went to the marine store to get the right parts. I am happy that the motor is running the way it should. I learned 2 things out of this mess.... Listen to your Wife and check Angie's list first. You will save a lot of time and money and a lot of crap. Sorry about that word I just had to let it out.

Jose and his helper came to check out my Yamaha F150 outboard. I had a few times where when I applied full throttle the bow raised up, RPMs went to 4300 but boat did not get up on plane. He was about an hour late from the agreed upon time but he call and allerted me to it. When he arrived the engine would not start. I had that problem the previous weekend but it eventually would start. Not so today. After detailed checkout of the engine electrical it was determined that there was a bad relay. He bypassed the relay and the engine started. My bildge pump had not worked in AUTO. I found about 10and quot; of water in the bildge last weekend. It worked with the swiotch but not in AUTO. Found the motor was bad. The bracket holding the pump had corroded and the pump was just laying in the bildge. He built a new bracket. My battery switch was mounted very low next to the batteries. Had him relocate the switch higher. The bildge pump was located in a position where Jose had to work thru 2 access holes. I was amazed he could get to it. he spent about 5 hours mostly almost standing on his head in order to get to the work space. Heat index this day was 105 degrees and full sun. After the relay, bildge pump and battery switch we gave the boat a couple of full throttles in our canal. Hope no one got too disturbed. No boats were in the water and no damage to any docks. Thought I had hub slip but no evidence today. Jose gave me a quick sample of his boat detailing. Very impressive. $20 per ft. Not sure if I will do it.

I called expecting to wait at least a couple of days before he would be able to come. They were there in a couple of hours. They worked fast and diligently. They also cleaned up after they were done and thoroughly explained everthing on the bill. They even picked up a couple of extracurricular items at West Marine for me. They also had several recommendations as to how the motors and boats could be maintained. He even gave me tips as to how to shine and wax the boat. I plan to use there service again and recommend them highly.

Jose' knows his craft. I had him dismantle horn, as opposed to replacing it, due to cost. He warned me of the dangers of not having the horn running. Engine runs great! Jose' is straight-forward about everything from initial cost estimate to the cost of anything else if it came up. Jose' returned after realizing he overcharged on the water pump kit. He's honest. If you want someone who is honest, straight-forward and knows his craft, Jose' is a great guy to call.

He was timely and was able to get the work done quickly in a matter of days. He kept me informed of what he was checking along the way. I was very impressed with the service and would use him again.

Jose was incredibly responsive to our phone call. He was in the area and came within a matter of an hour. Within a short time he diagnosed the problem, and had the boat motor running. He quoted us on a service for the motor (parts and labor separately), which was well over due and made arrangements to come the next morning. Shortly after he left he called to let us know that one of the parts was a few dollars higher than he thought and wanted our approval. The next day he and his helper showed up exactly on time and completed the job sooner than he had anticipated. I think Jose is a very honest businessman and takes pride in his work, we will only ever call him to work on our boat in the future.

After calling two other mobile mechanics who were not responsive, I found Jose on Angie's List. He arrived quickly, was able to get the boat started, and offered some very helpful advice. I found Jose to be professional, knowledgeable, personable, and helpful.

Jose was extrememly detailed, looking at things you would not normally look at. i was very impressed.
