Excellent! They were prompt, friendly and most important--competent technicians. They found a leaky gas line and replaced it. They also found a bulb pump that was old and needed replacing. They also found that Quality Marine Repair which had done major work on the motor just a few months earlier and changed the oil but had left at least a quart more oil in the engine than should have been! Joseph pumped it out. Quality Marine charged me over $2000 for questionable work and left a leaky gas line, a faulty bulb pump and way too much oil in the engine! Joseph did a fair amount of work, including repairing the problems left behind by Quality Marine. Joseph charged only $265. I couldn't be happier with their work. The boat runs better than ever!

Very efficient and professional. I've used two other companies but Joseph's knowledge and expertise was well beyond the others! I'm letting fellow boat owners In our community know of Joseph and that I highly recommend him. He also found a few items that needed immediate attention and fixed them on-site.

Joseph is a very responsive boat and great boat mechanic. I had him do the following: - Boat steering was very hard to turn and he fixed it - Forward/reverse shift throws were way too long and he fixed those - Fresh water pump was not working and he replaced it - Starboard engine needed tune up and he got it running much better(Yamaha 150 outboard) - Replaced radio and antenna - Fixed hatch cover in front berth I am new to boating and one of the best things about Joseph is that he wants you to see what he is doing and make sure you understand why he is doing it. He is very transparent and wants you to know what is going on. He also comes to your house and has done all the work so far while the boat is on my lift. I found Joseph after trying another mechanic and I think he is comparably priced and I've had a much better experience and results with Joseph than previous mechanics. I also had to trailer the boat to the previous mechanic, so Joseph is much more convenient. -

I've been using their services for over 10yrs now. I find them to be honest, very professional and reasonable in charges and all dealings. They go way over and above!!! I would recommend them to my mom.

A+ service! Highly recommended. Able to schedule an appointment within a few days of calling. Came out on time and completed requested installation of 2 new batteries as well as a new Garmin GPS/Transducer. Additionally, while they were out, were able to fix my fuel gauge and adjust the guide post brackets that were out of alignment. Extremely happy with the quality of work, lead time, time to actually complete the work as well as price. Will be using again for regular maintenance related services as well as future items that may need to be addressed.

Jose Sierra and his team used all stainless-steel hardware and high-quality marine-grade lumber to replace the decking on our dock. They closed part of the V at the front of the boat slip to increase the area for sunbathing, and increased the width of the finger dock on the canal side for easier access. They carefully cut the boards to fit around all the pilings, and laid new boards without having to move or remove the boat lift cover. They removed all the old material and cleaned up the worksite, and did the work on time for the agreed price. Jose continues to be "our guy" for all things marine: Yamaha service and repair, depth sounder repair, boat detailing and now dock refurbishing.

and I came on here and saw Josephs mobile marine with mostly A reviews. I gave him a call which he returned shortly. He told me he could come the next day early in the morning. He was at my house when he said he would be. He was very friendly. He had ordered all my parts already. He did the service on the back of my lift. He had with him an amazing platform which was like a flooring deck. My boat being on the lift was not an issue for him. He got on his platform and put it in the water and began to work on my boat. I am very happy with the service he did. It was a very reasonable price and I would definitely recommend him to others. I will be calling him in the future for anything related to my boat. He charged me $350 per motor plus parts.

Jose is now "our guy" for affordable on-site boat maintenance (which is the only kind we're going to get from now on). The work was all done within 48 hours of my first phone call, and the bill was a reasonable $2350. A week later three of Jose's people spent most of the day cleaning, waxing and detailing the boat for $20 per foot or $540, a reasonable price since the boat hadn't been really cleaned since 2008.

Generally speaking, the quality if the work was there, the timing had something to be desired, but my biggest concern was the "floating prices" of everything. Never got a written quote or statement of work to be performed and the prices seems to creep upwards every time we spoke. On the lst visit, the quoted price was $150 more than had been stated. I called him on it and it magically changed back...

Joses is absolutely awesome! He's so professional and honest. He came right to our dock which saved us lots of time. He showed us parts that were installed by another local repair service. Jose provided us with his receipts to show that he was installing Yamaha parts. He then compared those with the "after market" parts that the previous company used (which claimed they were Yamaha certified). Jose doesn't upcharge on the parts. We wish we found him sooner! He also returned and pressure -washed our boat. It looks like new! We can't say enough good things about this company.

Jose and his helper were very friendly and professional. They worked efficiently and effectively to repair my boat. They will be my first choice for a boat repair in the future.

Came to my house and worked on the boat engine in the boat lift. Jose is very knowledgeable on the engines and was able to take out the carburetors relatively fast, clean them and reinstall them in 1.5 hrs. Price is based on per hour rate. I would recommend Jose to any friend for boat engine repairs.

Everything went as smoothly as it possibly could, as far as I can tell. Jose was pleasant to deal with, he and his assistant behaved very professionally, he recommended additional work that needs doing, he did everything he said he would in a very timely manner, and his work appears to be first rate. I'd highly recommend him to others seeking marine services.

After going through a few different mechanics with un-impressive results, at times having my boat in purgatory for weeks on end, I decided to see what I could find on Angie's List. I called Jose for this repair and he called back before I had time to leave the message. He had me text a picture of the pump assembly and said he'd get back to me. Within an hour he called back and said he found the part in stock at a local parts supply and could "install it for you today if you like". I happily agree'd, and he was on my doorstep, parts and tools in hand within the hour! I left him to work on the boat and returned to check on his progress 20 minutes later. To my amazement, the part was already installed and he was testing it! I mentioned a faulty engine temp gauge, and he fixed it on the spot in about 10 minutes. So far the best marine mechanic experience I've had in Florida yet. Highly recommended. I will definitely use Jose again.

This is the second time I used Jose and like the first time he called back the same day. We made a appointment to change the water pump on my 25hp mercury outboard , they came with his floating dock work went well and would use him again. Price was a bit higher then phone est. but only 40.00 more and that was fine with me Motor is running well. Thanks Bob

Motor not starting on my 200 horse Yamaha outboard. Fuel siphon bulb not drawing fuel. Jose came out promptly and diagnosed the problem was with the water/fuel separator and replaced it 2 days later. Also designed a bracket to mount separator above waterline in bilge so it wouldn't recur all for original $200 estimate. Very pleased, so when Jose suggested a tune-up (hadn't done one for several years) I agreed and he quoted $250 for tune up. returned and completed tune-up and gave me bill for $750; $250 labor and $500 for parts. Raised an eyebrow on parts list for a tune-up on a fuel injected electronic engine but paid him. Jose is very knowledgeable, but ask for a complete estimate specifically for labor AND parts.

It went very well. They were very professional. He saved me from getting a new carburetor by doing some minor repairs. He called me back the same day that I called. He came over the next day to do the repair. He called before he came over. He test drove the boat after the repair was completed to make sure the problem was resolved. He will be coming back to replace the gas filter with an original mercury part (rather than the after market part that was there). Will keep you posted on how that goes. Would be happy to recommend Jose.

Joseph called ahead to let me know he was on his way. Listened to my needs and repaired all the issues efficiently and cleanly. Very polite, and very knowledgeable.

I had used Jose previously to do a mini-service on the motor of my boat when I first purchased it. I store the boat in a local storage facility. He did a good job overall with doing the service and ended up replacing the fuel line. He works out of his mini-van but seems to keep things well stocked in terms of parts. For this job I was looking to have him replace the tilt/trim motor which was failing. He came with his assistant and looked it over. He started to do some work by checking the electrical connections in the boat motor (which I later came to find he reconnected backwards; up was down and down was up). He started to remove the tilt/trim motor but then stopped saying he could not get the tilt/trim motor removed due to a stuck screw. He wanted me to bring it up to his home to work on it so he could "hot shot" the screw to get it out. I told him I would figure out a schedule and be in touch. I paid him (always in cash) and he took off. He quoted me that it would be at least $200 for a new tilt/trim motor in addition to the labor. I looked around online for a new tilt/trim motor and found one brand new in the box from a marine supply store for $136. Once I had the new tilt/trim motor, I had a friend who owns a boat look at the old tilt/trim motor. He saw right away that the old tilt/trim motor would come out just by moving the boat motor bracket. We went home, grabbed the needed tools, and we had the tile/trim motor replaced and running in about an hour. Not sure exactly what that says about Jose and his work but I will likely use a different provider for any service needs in the future.

Jose was on time, diagnosed the problems, gave us an estimate, and returned when promised to complete the job. He got the boat up and running so we could enjoy it while on vacation. Price seemed a little high, but he got the job done.

While working on my boat, Jose pointed out that the galvanized brackets supporting the bunks on my boat lift were seriously rusted. I had not noticed that, but Jose was working on my outdrive on a floating dock and had a good view of the brackets. I appreciated him pointing that out to me. As usual, Jose arrived at my house when promised. He purchased 8 new galvanized brackets (4 sets of brackets). Using his floating dock, he and his helper removed the old rusted brackets, and installed the 8 new brackets. Two of the old brackets actually crumbled while Jose was removing them - Jose was absolutely correct that the brackets needed to be replaced! Jose and his helper did the work quickly and cleaned up after they were finished. They disposed of the old brackets, and only left my boat’s bunks sitting on shiny new brackets!

jose did an excellent job, as he had also done previously doing other work on my boat. He was very creative in designing the new bracket to hold the automatic bilge pump switch and the bilge pump itself. Working in very limited space, the job took longer than expected, but Jose honored the original cost quote. He also made the bilge pump able to be operated by the manual switch on the dash as well as by the automatic switch. Jose also did an excellent job installing the engine flush kit. I was not even aware that a thru the hull flush kit of this type was even available for an inboard engine like mine!

Jose is very professional and competent. He promptly returned my phone calls and showed up at my house exactly on time. Jose throughly checked the boat's entire electrical system and isolated and repaired the problem. This included replacing the ignition key switch with a genuine Mercruiser part. Jose always uses genuine Mercruiser parts, not cheap aftermarket replacements. He has all of the correct tools and testing equipment and the knowledge and experience to do the job. Jose also serviced my outdrive right on my boat lift. He used his floating dock which he brought to my house. The previous mechanic did not know how to service my outdrive without having the boat pulled out of the water, which adds $100 to the cost of that job. Jose also diagnosed that the solenoids for my trim/tilt needed to be replaced and did that job as well. Jose quoted the cost of each job he did on my boat. His charges were fair and reasonable and the cost did not change after he did the work.

He has serviced 2 boats for me in the past. He does excellent work at a reasonable price. Not like many of the area marine shops and mechanics that believe they can take advantage of the snow birds and also believe that all of us have money like some of the snow birds. Jose is fantastic and although very busy (must tell you something), always is on time.
