D & R Electrical Svc

After experiencing a major electrical problem in the very early hours, I contacted this company first thing in the morning. They had a man here within two hours. Being a Sunday, I realized I would be paying more, but it was an emergency. Edgar arrived and literally checked every wire/outlet/switch in the rooms affected. He did not mind me following and watching him, as I wanted to understand the problem with my new home. After more than 5 hours, most of the problems were corrected and the rooms became usable once again. There was one switch that still needed attention, and someone would be sent in a couple days. Edgar did a tremendous job. Two days later, Lance came by and solved the remaining problem very quickly and professionally. He also took care of a wiring problem that was in the circuit box that was initially spotted by the inspection of the home. Lance also took the time to explain things to me as someone very ignorant of electricity. Both these professionals made my new home safe again. Although a lot of time was spent with this problem, there was no wasted time. And I trusted them because I was able to watch and ask questions. Although I rate the pricing as "B" it is not because it was not worth it, it's just because that was a lot of money for me at the time! I fully recommend consideration of this company for your electrical needs.

Very happy with Lance's work, this is the third time I have used him and each time he has been very good. Very clean and honest.

First off let me say the technician was excellent and on time. I was having a problem with some electrical outlets not working and when the technician arrived he found the problem to be some bad GFI outlets. They were replaced and it fixed the problem. However when I got the bill I was charged $45.00 a piece for the GFI outlets. Seems crazy since I am sure they buy them in bulk and at wholesale!! First hour was $129.00 (Angie's List member discount) and $99.00 per hour after that. Technician was at my house for two hours. Great customer service but the price was ridiculous! A little excessive. Probably should have shopped around for a better price.

Lance and his assistant work all day. They were very neat and clean and explained everything they were doing. All work was done in a timely fashion and exactly as quoted. This is the second time I used them and will use them again in the future.

I had to pay for an hour minimum and he got the job done in about 40 minutes. He said he still had some time so he checked my electrical box and the smoke detectors and did a bunch of other stuff, which I thought was pretty nice.

I contacted this company a few weeks ago through their website. Someone responded within 48 hours asking for more detail about what I needed to have done. I decided to call them to better explain what I was looking for. I was told to contact Cassie, which I did. She explained my inquiry had slipped through the cracks so she was glad I called. She so explained that since it was late in the day (on a Friday) the person who would be able to give me a more accurate estimate was out of the office. We agreed that Cassie would contact me on Monday with a more detailed estimate. I never heard back. Needless to say I will not be using their services.

Extremely pleased with the service, professionalism, and care provided by D&R ELECTRICAL SERVICES. From the immediate response to the first phone contact an overall extremely pleasant experience. It nice to know that there are contractors that do care and provide a cost effective, professional, timely service. Kathy was wonderful in putting my and my wife mind at ease that our house was not in jeopardy and that D&R would fix the problem that existed. Both technicians far exceeded our expectations as far the quality of work performed and the care and pride they both took in rectifying our problem. Thank you to you all and keep up the great work. Your organization is one of the best we have ever dealt with.

When he came out July 5, the problem was on an exterior socket that we were experiencing issues with and he worked until it was fixed. He came out at around 5 PM and worked in the pouring rain. This only cost us $174. I also had a minor problem in December, and he came back out and the charge was only $129. Josh did such a perfect job. He's thorough and clean, and he picks up after himself. The pricing is also very reasonable, and of course I'd highly recommend his services. These people are great, and you really need to use them.

I called the office at 3:50pm and spoke to Kathy. Even tho it was fairly late in the day, she was determined to get my hot water restored that day. She was able to find a technician already working in my area and called me back to give me an estimated time of arrival. David came by after his last call. I found him pleasant, professional, informative, and thorough. I was very happy with the entire experience and would use the company again without hestiation.

The service call was to replace a bathroom exhaust fan that I thought was too noisy. D&R brought out a new fan to replace the one they had previously installed, no charge. Earlier I had several items done, pendant lights in the kitchen, under counter lighting, additional electrical outlets in the garage and inside. They did great work, cleaned up, were very professional.

It went very well. Very responsive to what the customer needs. Very skilled, detailed focus on the over all project outcome. Regular conrtact with progress reports and any concerns that come up during the job. I will always recommend and use D&R Electric. From the office to the field, a joy to work with. Quality at a very reasonable price.

They were extremely responsive and came quickly to do the work. They cleaned up well and left nothing behind. They sent an electrician and a helper. I have no complaints with the service. The woman who handles the calls in the office is very helpful. She is very knowledgeable and follows up to ensure everyone gets what they need.

Job well done, would recommend to anyone. Professional, courteous, fair price - all that good stuff you want from providers.

Joe called first and arrived as scheduled. He discovered very quickly that the problem was not in the ceiling but in the dimmer. My husband had purchased a new dimmer so Joe removed the defective one and installed the new one. All the lights went back on. Joe was very professional and competent. We appreciated that it was a relatively simple remedy. We were afraid it would be a big problem in the ceiling.

Electrical panel shorted out at 10 PM and fried a number of circuit breakers and melted the bus bar and panel casing resulting in total loss of power. With no access to internet or Angie's list resorted to yellow pages and found D&R Electricians who advertised 24 hour service. Due to extensive damage I describe, we made arrangement for early morning service call and evaluation. Technician was prompt and review was thorough and he was very patient in answering all my questions and explaining what was needed to fix the problem. Then set up the appointment for the repair. Took a hour or so but technician came with all parts and equipment needed to fix. He was also very patient in explaining what he was doing/had done. Job took over 5 hours as needed to rewire whole panel. From my perspective he did an extremely professional job with first rate equipment. All individuals dealt with were courteous, helpful and friendly. No comment on the price as I have no basis for comparison but based on timeliness, speed, and professionalism of service, am more than totally satisfied. would recommend in a heart beat

It went alright, I wasn't really thrilled. They were supposed to install two fan outlets in my ceiling. They did refund me some of the money. They were satisfactory.

Rapid response to a request for proposal regarding re-wiring.

It was a cold rainy day, but that didn't stop these guys from working on an outside circuit breaker.

Both the office staff and technician were professional, helpful, courteous and on-time with quotes and appointments. They both also took time with me to make sure the job was done to my specifications as well as offered suggestions that I hadn?t even thought of. My husband and I love how our lighting turned out and we will most definitely recommend D&R Electric with confidence to anyone looking for a superior quality electrical contractor. Likewise we?ll definitely call them again when we have additional lighting needs. There needs to be a higher rating than Excellent for D&R.

Josh basically lived with us for a couple of weeks. He was meticulous, asked us lots of questions (instead of making assumptions and then having to redo). Mark (the owner) and Josh both had good (not always agreeing) recommendations about products and placement. We were very happy with the results and with our choice of contractor. I would suggest that they get work on doing some more professional invoicing, but it's only the format and not the costs that I'm critiquing. The costs were reasonable and Josh went above and beyond in getting the job done.

Everything was accomplished in a professional and friendly manner. All work was done in an expedient manner.

Philip came on time. He explained the procedure to my husband and said there might be some handyman work after he's done. He did the job so well that there was no visible crack or area around the surge device that needed to be filled or painted. My husband had some questions the next day and the owner manager himself called back and answered satisfactorily all of my husband's questions. This provider is oustanding in customer service.

Went fine! He got then fixed and explained it all to me.

We've used these guys twice. They must hate when we call because it's usually lots of random stuff! The first time we called, I needed several lights removed, a chandelier hung, and several other things. I'm very short and I don't like my husband going up on high ladders... and of course there are no low ceilings. We've even had them just change out light-bulbs because I'm too scared! These guys are great. They usually come within 24 hours (quicker if an emergency) and will stay with you until every job you need is done. They charge you by the hour so that's why we try to either "hold off" until we get "a bunch of stuff at once" that needs to be done, or ask them to do other things "while they are there". We will continue to use their services.

Phil, the tech, came out and did a couple small projects. He showed up early and very knowledgable. Phil even went as far as picking up his own trash and offered some sage advice on a couple projects i want to do in the future.
