Description of Work: This company installed the upstairs and downstairs air conditioning units. We have had nothing but trouble. The upstairs one leaked all over the ceiling causing damage that was not replaced. The one downstairs has had multiple problems. It was leaking, he talked me into a 3 year maintance plan, then wanted to chafe me another $140 to clean a bar inside of the unit. The service provider could not speak proper English that I could understand as well. I would see at clear of them!

Description of Work: I had 3 previous AC companies service my AC. I even had one company replace my AC. The AC ran constantly and my electric bills were high ($200 for a 1500 ft house). Advanced Air cleaned my air ducts and thouroughly cleaned the AC coils and blower. They installed a guardian UV light to clean the air. My daughter and grandchildren were getting constant sinus infections. This device and installation cost $996. Their yearly system maintenance costs $178. The AC is running more efficiently and not constantly. The techs that serviced the AC were professional, courteous and on time. I am very pleased with this company and have contracted them for another year. I would also reccomend them to my friends.

Description of Work: I moved to FL 2 years ago and called in Advanced Air for a routine maintainence check because I had a coupon. They checked the whole system and cleaned out pipes going to the outside unit. At that time they said all was OK, but that the system might need replacing soon, as portions of the heat exchanger were rusting out. They arrived promptly and were very courteous. The system worked fine all year. I had them back again this spring and everything checked out fine and again they said that the system should be replaced soon as it was 7 yeras old and was rusting. About a week after their visit we had a power failure overnight and a few days later noticed that the system wasn't running. I called them in and they replaced a blown fuse at the air exchanger, caused by the power failure. There was no charge for this secondary visit, and they arrived promptly ( in 4 hours) after my call.

Description of Work: A cost estimate for additional ducts was requested. Duct improvements were needed because a larger HVAC system was installed previously. Instead of adding a few ducts, Advanced Air wanted to replace the entire duct system. I know a handful of people that have added ducts after installing a larger HVAC unit - it seems to work out pretty well and is cost efficient. Even though I told them that I did not want to replace the entire duct system, the Advanced Air sales person still wrote the estimate aimed at a $3000 complete duct replacement job. There is one section of duct work that could use replacing. The rest of the duct work is fine. Obviously the price was much higher that it needed to be. Prior to calling Advanced Air, I had purchased and studied a duct design reference book titled Manual D for Residential Duct Systems. So I had an idea about how things should be with a newly designed system. After speaking with the sales person, it was obvious that the new duct system would be designed for the convenience of the installer rather than around proper design principles. I did not hire Advanced Air to do the job.

Description of Work: We installed a completely new A/C ststem in our 12 year old home in March of 2009 from Advanced Air, 239 768-5558, 2144 Andrea Ln, Ft Myers, FL, 33912. The old system installed by the builder was not sufficient so for years the old sytem struggled to perform as we struggled to stay cool. We purchased the 5 ton 20 seer Train and could not be more pleased. This unit also removes the humidity which is very important when you live in SW Florida.
