Renu Ceilings

Chase, Vito and the whole team at Renu were gret at owork with. Pricing was on point and the work was done in a quick and timely manner. We had a last minute request to repair some walls that had discoloring and Chase had a team out within a coupke days to complete the work. They are clean, thorough and professional. We will gladly use them in the future and highly recommend them.

He was very professional and on time. I had the estimate in just one day. The company was great but the price was so high.

I was very impressed with the pleasant associates I spoke with from, Mary making the Initial appointment, to Chase arriving to give me an estimate, to Anna setting up the repair schedule to Veto and Philip doing the repairs. They were amazing! From Chase showing up early for our appointment to give us an estimate to the crew leaving our house cleaner than it was when they started, Re-Nu made what could have been a miserable experience very positive. I expected a huge mess and a long drawn out process as we wanted the popcorn removed from the entire house but they were in & out in one day. They applied knockdown after the popcorn removal and it is perfect, evenly applied and looks great. I would definitely recommend them and plan on using them again for some drywall repairs I need done.

They were very courteous and when one of the areas dried, and there was a little imperfection, they came out immediately, smoothed it out, and fixed it. They are very responsive. Personnel was great. They were on time.

They were quick and job initially came out OK, but after a couple of days, one of the cracks appeared again. Contacted the company and never got a call back. We also were not available during the work and we had requested they take pictures of the repaired cracks just to make sure tape was applied before applying the knockdown. We were told they would, but never did. After they fixed the crack a second time and told it was fixed, the crack appeared again and had to contact the company a third time. Not what I would have expected after paying down a good amount of money. Not to happy with the experience

The dry wall had been damaged so they sealed that up and had to make it the same texture as the first wall. They were prompt and efficient. They were on time and they did everything they needed to. They completed the job in a timely manner. They did a fantastic job. They brought all their equipment with them. They gave me a duly needed estimate, how long it was going to take and they completed it within that time. They left no mess behind.

They showed up and did everything right. Even though their advertisement says that they specialize in repairing cracks from water damage on ceiling. That is what I had but when they showed up they said they don’t do this kind of work. I needed the ceiling painted .They said they would repair only if the water damage broke through the ceiling and the insulation is coming through. They only repair broken ceilings. They don’t paint the ceilings. So they had to refer me to a different company with whom they are affiliated with to come and paint the ceiling. They could have saved me all this and said this to me over the phone when I made the appointment. But maybe they needed to inspect it, maybe they actually had to hit the ceiling and see if it was weak and if the drywall was spongy from getting wet. Though they did not do the job they did everything correctly.

This was the second time I used ReNu Ceilings. I engaged them for the same work on a previous property. The quality of the work is very good. When primed and painted you really see the value that removing the popcorn can bring to a home. ReNu was prompt, and efficient at what they do. I would both recommend them and would use them again in the future.

Great!! The walls and ceilings look brand new!!

Phil who came out to give quote was on time and very friendly. He quickly understood what needed to be done. Workers were on time and the job remained on schedule. My painter who was at the house remarked that the work was done very well and would make it easy for him to work with afterwards. There was a slight misunderstanding regarding re installation of doors and base trim which this company does not do, but the core work was done quickly and to a high standard - since I know how to do the detail work it was not an issue for me personally.

This is the second time using Re-Nu. I had used them to remove all the popcorn from the ceiling on the first floor of my 2 story house. They did a wonderful job! They cover everything in plastic prior to scrapping the ceiling, and then they clean everything up afterwards. The job took about 6 hrs.; They had two crews working. The 1st crew came, prepped and removed the popcorn. The second crew then put a skim coat on the ceilings. (They do not paint), The ceilings look so good! They do a wonderful job! They were on time, worked hard, and cleaned up beautifully. The price is right too!

The guys did a good job, Did not leave any mess. Were punctual and very responsive. I would recommend them highly as they are a reliable and apparently consistent provider. The only negative is that they only do drywall. I would have hired them if they could do electrical as well.

They were on time (between 8 and 8:15 every morning), on budget, done when they said they were going to be, and not too messy. To be clear, it was a complete disaster while in process, but they had sealed off everything with plastic so the cleanup wasn't too bad. The quality of the work was great, and our new ceiling looks fantastic. I will definitely use them again and recommend them.

From Popcorn to Smooth in 3.5 days. They said they would come back to do touch ups, if need be, after it was painted. Amazingly, none are needed. I highly recommended them. Only reason I gave a B for punctuality is they were about a day later than promised. However, I would use them again.

Renu ceiling found out that I was not happy with the work they performed 2 years ago since I was on a job assignment out-of-state and couldn't see their work right after they did it. They contacted me the next day after I wrote a negative review on Angie's List. Company's rep came to my condo and evaluated the condition and arranged to fix the problem. They re-did the whole condo and even sent a painting contractor to paint the whole condo. They go above and beyond customer satisfaction. They delight customer.

Professional crew. Highly recommended.

1st job: Removed popcorn ceiling and refinished - absolutely wonderful - easy to work with, excellent job. Could not have been done better. We went with a less expensive vendor for our second job - who did a good job, but not of the same caliber as Re Nu. 3rd job: Rebuilt/ refinished half walls and soffits. Office support was great - much praise for Mary and the assistance she provided. Most of the work was top notch as with the first job. There was some minor work that needed fixing - it was done immediately, and looked great when finished. Phil takes great pride in making sure the job is done right and the customer is happy with the results. They cost more, but if you want top quality work, Re Nu is the company to hire.

After arrival, introductions exchanged, and I was explained the general process. The crew was AMAZING in how they protected my home to limit the dust to the area they were working in. They protected my floors by making a walk path from my front door to the kitchen where they were working. They were professional and their work was completed satisfactorily as well as cleanup. The only mistake I made is not remembering to present my Angie's list $50 off coupon when I made my payment. I called a couple days later to see what could be done(coupon must be presented @ time of service). I spoke withMary who will find out if she can honor it and she will get back to me.

Overall, it went very well. The smooth finish is probably double the cost of knock-down, however it looks beautiful and seems to be the way to go now-a-days. They removed the popcorn in all rooms except the bathrooms and a few closets. It took approx. 4 days. The process was a bit overwhelming to watch and I was a bit apprehensive of the outcome, however, the house looked perfect after their final clean-up. I had to call them out a few times to touch-up a few small areas (I am a "picky" person) and they came out immediately, showed up on time, and corrected the situation. I can not say enough about this company. From the very beginning the staff was polite and accommodating. Everyone showed up on time everyday. I feel they went beyond the call-of-duty to please me and never made me feel like a "complainer". Both Chase and Vito were awesome and should get a raise :). Do not hesitate to call Re-Nu, but I suggest that all of you OCD people leave your house and come back after it is complete. When you see the finished job, you won't even know anyone was in your house. Great Job Re-Nu!! Thank you for putting up with me.

Fast response when asking for estimate. They even give you estimate for painting, which is done by another company (also in Angie's and with very good reviews). We were asked to remove all breakable items in advance. Crew showed up bright and early on Monday, while some of them start "plastifying" room by room, others were preparing the areas to have them ready for it. Moving furniture against walls, or chairs out of the way. I left my house with that work in process. My husband stayed home. At 1 pm, I returned, the ceiling was on the floor, yes, the entire popcorn was removed... and you can see all white mess on the floor., which was also covered in plastic, my house looked like a plastic house. They covered every inch of it to avoid that white stuff to cover our furniture. I selected the size of the knock down texture to be applied, and again left the house. By 5 pm, I returned home, my house looked like nothing happened. All was clean and not a piece of white stuff around. Knock down was applied to 5 bedrooms, living room, dining room, family room and walking closets. ALL IN ONE DAY!!!! We did not set up our furniture and stuff back in place as the painter needed to come by Wednesday to paint the ceiling. By Thursday, the house was back to normal :) Nice work, fast and clean. I definitely recommend Re-nu if you want a fast, clean and excellent job done at your house.

They were great and super. There was something that wasn't done, and they came back and fixed it immediately. They were fabulous, and they took care of business.

I thought that the match with the texture was very close to the rest of the ceiling. The work was done very quickly, in an hour or two. Everyone was friendly over the phone. The only concern I'd have is that from my initial call to get an estimate to the date of service, it took just over two weeks. Good company, just allow yourself time to get on their schedule.
